I third that.

IF you dont want a ripoff story youll have to write your own. ABR is made of ripoffs.

Green Lanterns, Pikachus, Replicators (Much as I have changed them from that rooting), the Q continuum, even the Grisgol are heavily inspired by the Ents.
A whole ton of Avbaroy and it's universe is ripped off from someone else, the only difference is we usually put our own unique twists to it.

Not to mention that there are actually D&D stats for the Grisgol in the Monster Manual 3. They're pretty different, though. The D&D ones are mindless automatons.
Mad Mask, it seems like you are trying your hardest to keep D&D out of this comic. But it is way too late. It was too late before FFF I even began.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Bit of questions regarding to FI and UNA
1.Does UNA have armed forces of each of it's member nations fully at it's disposal, or just UNA Peacekeepers?
2. How likely is that bad guys (read: those working for UNA, expecially UNIA) know each other in some level in time of FI, as they all work for same organization and are likely to meet each other during assigments?
3.Who rank highest in UNA:s most wanted list?
4.UNA:s rudimentary power structure?
5.What is UNIA:s powerbase in FI?

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
I nominate that Avbaroy is a lesser plane.
Also, here's a breakdown of Oliver's planar abilities:
Novice: Etheral, Material, and Shadow planes are novice abilities. Most commonly used for minor travel.
Journeyman: The Inner planes, this includes the elemental planes and energy Planes.
Expert: These abilities are associated with the outer planes, such as Ysgard and Mechanus.
Master: These abilities are associated with the lesser, obscure planes, such as the plane of snakes, or, if decided on, Avbaroy.

I did not explain myself correctly, then. What I meant was that I did not want a carbon copy setting, but an amalgamation of ideas from multiple source. For example, Pericle:
"Pericle will be the exact copy of Gondor." (Gondor is a great idea, it's directly copying it which I don't like)
versus
"OK, Pericle will be like Medieval Italy, but blue, with elements of the Roman Republic in one city, has tall buildings, and I'll my own ideas to it."
The first one is a carbon copy (which I don't like), while the second one is acceptable.

some of us LIKE gondor :smallmad:

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
What about Schizotech, it seems like a (no offense BRC) carbon copy of Soviet Russia.
In Schizotech, Russia copies YOU!

Except that when I look at Schizotec, I don't scream: Soviet Russia ! Oh My God ! But when I look at the cosmology, I say: D&D ! Oh My God !

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Originality?... NINGAS!
@Mad Mask: I don't think you've looked very close to the list of planes. Many seem new so quit complaining.
Then it would be fun altering it a little...

Origionally, Schizotech was just an explination. We had a fantasy setting, but people had some high-tech stuff, so I told lying to add a nation called "Schizotech", named after the TVtrope, to explain where the high-tech was coming from. I think origionally, it was merely isolationist, explaining why the tech was rare. Lying was the one who made it soviet.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
These are the standard planes Keveak. Published by WotC and all.
I'll rearrange the planes in a new way.

I actually understand why he's upset now, and I agree. Though Avbaroy is D&D based, and usually uses D&D rules, it would be nicer to use our own cosmology.
How about we use the 'layer' thing, but with different planes? I'll draw a picture...

I like the idea of our own cosmology...
Could there be a ninga plane?

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
I'll see about coming up with something for the planar cosmology, but for anything to be nearly certain we'll need a list of the planes.
Prime Material Plane (Avbaroy or Avbaroy's universe)
Elemental Planes (MUST be separate! All logic breaks down otherwise)
Plane of Shadow (Used by the Sovices for the Omnigate system)
Ethereal Plane (Used by ghosts a few times)
Arborea (Appears in The Skornbail Incident)
Nine Hells of Baator (MASSIVE chunk of Remember Book 2)
Infinite Layers of the Abyss (Heavily referred to)
If we need to vote on stuff I'll open a poll thread on my forums, probably where guests can vote/comment.

Well presumably we need to include the Blank Plane and the Plane of Snakes. Possibly even the Hammer Plane (For hammers and storage of stuff)
