Admittedly, it is very annoying when you do that.

It's my instinct - I like to be well defended in my base/s before I start a conquest. -_- /sad-face So what's everyone up to? :3
Just got home from Ele's place to find the unit so damn messy >.< And to find out the evils are going out to Sizzler -again-. Without me!

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Party yesterday was good. I got to meet a bunch of friends I hadn't seen in a year, and we mostly hanged around and chatted about more or less everything.
Got home at a sort of reasonable time, but didn't get a lot of sleep because of nervousness and excitement. I woke up before the alarm clock, and all attempts at snoozing off a bit more were just exercises in making time flow as slowly as possible. Hadn't I had said alarm clock, I'd thought that I'd snoozed for another hour. It was four minutes.

An hour talking is nothing if you get on well enough. Most of my past girlfriends I've spent half a day solidly chatting with before asking them out.

Except that that is the literal definition of transhumanism.
Also, I really need to go to the beach.

There are two people outside my immediate family I've spent time alone with this summer, If I spent less than an hour with either of them I'd feel I was missing out

I've never tried one on, how drastically is it reduced?
I'll spend half a day chatting with anyone, and then smack myself afterwards for realizing tat I never let them get a word in edgewise once I'm done.

My most social activities this were were when I was with people at a school organized car wash (t the great chagrin of my teacher, who thought that I should shut up about whether I was more like Crona or Death the Kid, and focus on the car I was scrubbing.), or in that public improv group that I met for two hours every day for a week. (I just get along with acting people. In that group, one of them had the exact same personality as me, and one was like the male version of me and the one who is just like me. And we had the same pop culture knowledge. That was an epic week. )
ION: It's me mum's berfday! And she is so swamped in a work project that we're not going to Seattle today to go see some things of King Tutankhamen's like she wanted. :smallfrown: Ah me, I wish I could do something epic in replacement.

You are not going to be doing any serious exercise with it strapped in, but other than that, you can breath pretty normally.

Give her a big hug and tell her you love her. That always works.

Depends on how well it's fitted. If it's larger than it should be, you'll have no problems breathing. If it's a perfect fit (or as close as) you should be able to breathe normally but probably shouldn't run about much. If it's too tight, then you'll have problems, and should probably look at a different size.
it's also about getting used to them - if you're not used to them you'll want a looser corset (the best ones [read: more expensive] have built in ways to adjust the corset to your prefered fit - so you can start loose and tighten up if you so desire once you're more used to it).

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Corsets sound awful.
ION: I've seen a lot of people busking in front and behind of the student union lately. It occurs to me that if all of were to get together, we could both maximize profits and defend territory from intruders. One could busk in front while the other busked behind, and we could each give a percentage of our earnings to the group. I'm gonna look into organizing a busker's union.

It's a good plan, though. Letting people know they're loved and appreciated is an awesome thing. =)

How are you at cooking? For the past couple of years I've made a meal as a birthday gift for my parents/brother. Even a fairly simple meal requires you to put some thought and care into it.

When you cut yourself and there's a flap of skin just hanging off, are you supposed to leave it?

Disinfect, put a bandage holding it in place, let it heal. Why would you tear off a chunk of yourself unnecessarily?

Well, don't leave it exposed, but yes.

I'm excellent at baking, however, my mom has been on a very complicated diet and has requested I don't cook her anything because it would be so hard to find a recipe I can make for her.
It's all good though, we just finished celebrating, she seemed pretty pleased. I ended up handmaking twelve little bows that I attached to all of the pens (she has an obsession) she wanted me to get her, at least.

Only if I WANT to do nothing but talk with someone for an hour. I don't, so it ain't.

...Wouldn't that just mean you talk even MORE?

Being so terrified of people you can't talk to them isn't healthy. It's an important skill to have, even if you don't use it.
...No?

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Skidpan finished. It was fun, I suppose, although my ego took quite a hit when I didn't manage to do an evasive manouver at any speed over 39 km/h, while a guy on my group managed to do it in 60. Oh well, it was mostly about getting to know how the car acts on slippery surfaces, but I'd love to do some more training. It's a bit of a bummer when you're put in a car, told to do something for the first time, and then not allowed to perfect it...
We also got to volt with a car-on-spit, and do a low-velocity collision with a collision sled, and spin with the instructor's car. Those were all fun activities.

I'm way more comfortable holding long conversations with my close friends than with my family

Learning to drive in Sweden sounds fun! Here it mostly consists of driving. On roads. The most exciting thing is roundabouts.

Terrified? No, I just hate it. Usually. The one instance i can think of where I actually felt afraid was this one conversation while checking out of Kroger's. I was made the center of attention by my two co-workers for the five or so minutes it took to buy my cokes and dog food and get out, largely because they kept accusing each other of making me feel awkward.
... uh, okay >.>
EDIT: Oh, and there was this one time where i came home to find 30 people posing for a picture in my living room that i didn't expect to see, and they all yelled some variation of 'hello' at about the same time. I actually cried later.

I don't become terrified, I just fear the awkward of the conversation. Or in the case of my aunt, I know she'll yell at me to join track for a hour as I wish she'd go away already. :smallsigh::smallbiggrin:
