982, #4: I think that now, with the new information about the godsmoot, HoH's bubble should read differently. My idea:
#4
Hohepriester der Hel: Wie du noch erkennen wirst, komme ich am besten an den Ort wo meine Herrin mich braucht, wenn Roy mich dorthin begleitet.
Changed
- 983, #2: You told me you don't feel up to the task of Boarisch, but could you give me a feedback about the term "Kindaschmorr'n" for child-suited nonsens tale? Found it on the net.
Don't know Kinderschmarren, we have only Kaiserschmarren and that's something to eat. But when they talk a "Schmarrn" than it's something wrong or silly or stupid. (Einen Schmarrn daherreden). Stories for children are "Märchen" (fairytales) but I think you know that anyway.
- 983, #3: Donnerstagsschule is a cool term, but maybe less funny than in English. Thorstag-Schule? Donarstag-Schule? Then, I'm not so confident about the term "Vater" in German when talking about a cleric. I thought it's rather "Bruder", isn't it? And then, "...die Macht der Götter jede Verletzung heilen kann!" (instead of ...können!")
Changed to Thorstagschule. A "Priester" is called Vater here, I think and I don't think the kids in school are calling their teachers "Bruder" so I think "Vater is the more matching term here.
Changed können, though.
- 984, #12: bruised shins: "geschürfte Schienbeine"? Because falling down hills doesn't cause "blaue Flecken".
Changed to "aufgeschürfte Schienbeine"
- 985: How about "Gipfelberge"?
Great! Changed
- 986: Knödel is okay, although it's not the word for the asian food. Dumplings are a sort of "Teigtaschen" - but I guess they're more common in American Asia takeouts than in German/European ones. So, the joke can either be made about Knödel/Maultaschen or another "gnomish" food speciality, or we keep it about asian takeout - whatever you prefer?
I think "Knödel" is best because "Knödel" is best for Sauces. In my view, at least. Also when I let dict.cc or google translate dumplings I always get "Knödel". Maybe "Klöße" but... well, I'm Austrian, we have Knödel :smalltongue:
#6: bodyguard - Leibwächter?
Changed
#10: young adult novels - Jugendromane?
Changed
- 987 #1: Little Whiskers. How about "Klein-Schnurri"?
Changed
#2:
Veldrina: Ooooh! Das wäre ein faszinierendes Experiment.
Changed
#7: Ouch, that is a bit off from the meaning. I spent half an our on the pun, while cooking. Which one do you like more: "Ohne Altar, aber mit Talar". or "Würde- und auch weihelos." or "Ohne Würde und Weihe".
Changed to "Ohne Würde und Weihe. Much better!
#8: frump - Vogelscheuche? Doesn't exclude male frumps.
Changed
#10: "große Versammlung". Hm. Göttertreff? Göttergipfel? Oh hey, why not Gipfelberge AND Göttergipfel!
Changed
#14: wind walk =
"Windwandeln".
Changed
#20: assure, not assume:
Hohepriester der Hel: Ich versichere dir, dass dein Freund mich nicht dorthin gebracht hätte, wenn er wüsste, ...
Changed to: Ich bin mir sicher, ...
#21: Ye, not Yes/Yeah:
Durkon:
(Hoch:) Du hast es Roy selbst herausfinden lassen, damit er nicht zögert, dorthin aufzubrechen!
(Ruhr:)
(Bayr:) De host's Roy selbst nausfinda loss'n domit ea si oahn Umständ doahin uaf de Sock'n macht!
HoH's reply: [...] Farce ist, ist so ziemlich mein ganzes
Wesen.
