Well, you've got to take the good choices with the bad.
I bequeath unto those myriad individuals, named or no, those who I am aware of, and those who lurk within the numerous recesses and crevices of the great mountain that is these fine forums, bathed in the shadows of muteness, lost in the flow of information and text, from which the ranks I have crawled and trudged up from to ascend into the land of nomenclature and identifiability spawned, and even further to the uncountable masses to which this message shall not be but skimmed over, or bypassed in it's entirety, the greeting which they themselves would deem most appropriate, or simply what they wish. One can not but help ponder what a given individual would believe construes a proper, ideal, or even a merely adequate expression of salutations for an initial crossing of our lives, the start of a small ripple within the great tapestry of fate as a whole, and thus it is most appropriate, I believe, to let those select individuals constuct their own meetings, giving them the most minute degree of influence upon the infinite interactions that compose and build their lives. An example of such an interaction, a mere nothingness upon the infinite canvas that the gods themselves can not comprehend, but watch as slowly the entirety of our existence shall pass, an event that will never truly be complete, tormenting the very gods themselves with a never ending wait, for a time that can not come about as long as they remain to witness it, that brought to my attention the media that has become a sort of central focus for the social hub that it originally only served to draw attention to, and the community of said internet based society. My curiousity has since been piqued, leading to embark upon the journey to join those who contribute and build upon this framework, a framework that lives off it's users, and that long and perilous ascent from the ranks of those who lurk endlessly, watching us beyond the veil and anonymity, masking themselves with a cloak of wires and chips, to present myself to all who peruse this message.
tl/dr: Hey. Friend recommended OotS, I read it, lurked a bit, finally joined.
And thus, with pleasure, I return your salutations.
Truly, it bring great joy into the hearts of all of us here to welcome yet another individual to our most glorious forum.
Oh, I give up, I can't draw this out enough to reach anything of that length.
Welcome to MilesTiden.
Hello Varsuv... ehm, MilesTiden.
Hello all, just passing by to say hello.
Just dropping by to say "Hello!" to everyone.
I now announce my existence to this realm. I enjoy OOTS and started reading these forums. I have found it to be a great resource and friendly place. I hope to survive the experience of joining, though my posts shall be few and mostly far between.
I send you, whoever may be reading this, my regards.
Greetings.
Welcome to Perdue, Theaitetos, Wilhelm and Electric Knight.
May your time here be as enjoyable as possible.
Hello friendly, kind and particularly helpful folk of the forum!
I have lurked, joined, then lurked again and now I am starting a play by post game and I have encountered some difficulties with which I was hoping I could get some help.
I think the first and most important is that I don't know how to do multiple quotes in one post. So how do I reply to two or three other posters in one post with the 'goto' quote option?
When I click quote at the bottom of a post I get a reply page with a [Quote][/Quotexxxxxxxx] The x's being a numerical value.
But I don't know how to generate this for multiple quotes.
Help please!
Thanks in Advance!
Grobrin
Edit: Why is it when I ask a question the answer soon becomes apparent of its own accord.
Worked it out...
Glad you figured it out. Welcome Grobrin!
Hi there!
I've recently gotten into D&D 3.5 and my Google-Fu has brought me to these boards in my search for answers to my questions (Redundant? Maybe). I figured it might be time for me to actually stop lurking and occasionally post. I generally play World of Darkness, but ever since I got over my fear of D&D character creation I like it a lot too. :)
I know an almighty name, when I see one...
Welcome aboard, ColossusCrusher. :smallwink:
We currently only have one Colossus in the Playground. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to be crushed...
hello just wanted to say hello first place i have found for just home brewed stuff really drew me here to say the lest
Welcome Egglooter!
(Hmm autocorrect tried to split your name into two words :smallyuk: You will not win out autocorrect!!)
Hello, I've been a lurker for a couple years now and figured it was finally time to join the forums. Here's hoping i can find some good games to join!
Hi all. As you probably realized , I have only just stopped lurking / joined. The decision didn't come easily to me, as I am what you may call a natural lurker. (My most favorite d&d character was a druid with aberration wild shape. Lets just say I only left my Will'o'Wisp form on high holydays. Druid high holydays. Well, some of them. When it felt safe, anyway.)
ANYWAY, hello all. :)
Right, hi everyone! New member here, not sure if I should further introduce myself (not that interesting), feel free to ask my anything you like! Well, maybe not anything..
Greetings to Elricaltovilla, Volkogluk and Wendy Wen.
To you right is the buffet, and to your left the emergency exit.
Wait... Other way round...
Obligatory 'I say, "Hello", to everyone.' comment.
Been with a 3.5 group for a few months, we also do Dark Heresy and 40k Tabletop. I've appreciated the wealth of knowledge on this forum, which has shortened my learning curve and fed my appreciation (nigh addiction) to character creation.
So, "Hello and thanks."
Hello all, my name is Dave and I am sooooo glad I found this place. Recently rejoined the ranks of active D&D player after 7 long years of inactivity, glad it is like riding a bike and is all slowly but surely coming back to me( mostly thanks to you guys). Got a nice 3.5 group of 4,is our DM's first game that he has created and I am in for the long run. I also enjoy 40k, currently building a 1500/3000 Tau army with a friend, and buffing up my apocalypse Dark angels army. I enjoy building the models and miniatures and I will never quit.
TL;DR: I'm new here and I hope to make plenty of new friends, maybe some of them in my neck of the woods so e can get our game on!!
G'Day everyone.
took me a few tries just to get here... server too busy errors.
5 minutes later, i can post.
Been reading for a while, thought I might actually join and talk to people instead of imagining conversations... i might still do that though.

Welcome to the playground Zjordan, cerberusrex, and Raymond! Raymond, the way I get around the slow periods is by going on at low traffic times, usually earlier in the morning. Around 10pm there're a lot of people on and it can be especially slow.
My years (yes, years) of lurking are finally coming to an end. To that end, I greet you all.
I'm looking forward to actually talking to many of you whose advice on a number of games I've utilized, and I hope to join some new games.
hey every one.
I Recently got a new computer  but have been lurking(and stalking) this place for awhile. well not much to say but here's for a good time with good people.
A glorious welcome for Cgrela and Ull!
The buffet has, unfortunately, been closed. But, the fridge is well stocked with chocolate!
Salutations, everyone. After a month or so of lurking, I can't take it anymore! :smallwink:
Welcome FAD. May you never go out of style!
