Utost says, trying to cheer up Russell. Daaaaaaaaaaaad! Olon says from where she's patting the horrible centipede monster with Tuskfang. He's embarrassing her in front of her friends!
Endok meanwhile abandons the baby cave crawler and walks up to his father, tugging on his sleeve. Dad can we go see the birds now? Utost peers around a nearby wall and frowns. Aye, Taguz should have moved all the Jabberers out of the way by now. We can head over.
As for Brinika, none of the dwarves officially on the tour have noticed her escape. She'll see nearby a group of four dwarves opening up a fence-gate leading to a pair of absolutely massive crocodiles - each at least 10 times her size. Their scales are a pale bone colour and their eyes a bright red. In the middle of their enclosure is a wooden structure that the dwarves are heading toward, seemingly unconcerned with the nearby crocs. There's also a teenaged dwarf milling around watching a herd of creatures each about half the size of an elephant - they have short grey fur and oddly long bodies, each with four legs and a tail. Most striking of all are the manes that each of them possess, lustrous silky things that tend toward white more than the rest of their fur. They're mostly just grazing on the strange cave fungus that grows on the ground all throughout their enclosure. Finally, she could inspect a smaller enclosure that contains a group of small bipedal creatures - the largest of them stands about half her height. They're reptilian, with sharp claws and pointed horns, and a dwarf is throwing them chunks of meat from a small bucket.
