Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
"That it is."
She blushes at his compliment. It's not like she has never heard it before, but coming from him makes it feel kind of special." You are certainly cute enough to keep my attention."
Eadin's hands move to his shoulders as he kisses her, trying to pull him closer.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Galinai would be quite surprised if she'd never heard it before.
But it is the truth, so he sees no reason to not use it anyway.
There'd probably be a response somewhere in here, a surprisingly not-sarcastic one, but kissing is happening.
While she pulls him a little closer, his arms around her waist hold her a little tighter. They probably can't get too much closer after this.
He's taking some effort to make this a good moment.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
People give compliments for different reasons.
His reason is relatively new to her. A welcome change.
A happy sigh might be heard, coming from Eadin. His efforts are much appreciated and Eadin tries to do the same.
One hand will move up again, burying itself in his hair while she softly nibbles on his bottom lip.
How very bold.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
It seems compliments inspire Eadin to be a touch more forward.
Galinai finds this pleasantly surprising.
There is an urge for his typical blabbermouth to say something here, some undoubtedly snarky quip.
But he refrains.
Somehow.
Instead, this is the part where he picks her up a bit, just to accentuate the kiss that teensy bit more.
Then make the stupid, grin accompanied quip.
"Careful, I'm fragile."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Women like to feel loved and wanted.
He just made her happy and she's rewarding him for it.
She's mildly surprised when suddenly her feet are no longer touching the floor.
And then he had to start talking.
Instead of answering or even making a face, she just quickly slips her tongue into his mouth. That should shut him up, keep that tongue of his busy.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Yes, that would do the job rather nicely, wouldn't it?
There'll be a little mmrf! sound in there somewhere, this one more entirely surprised.
Fey and their sneak attacks.
It's taught Galinai a little lesson though.
Be a good boy and enjoy the kissing, stop interrupting.
So he does.
And it was good.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Of course it works, fey are experts at making men do what they want.
Okay, not all fey. Eadin probably has no idea just what she's doing.
She's just going with the flow.
Silly pheromones.
At least he learned his lesson. More rewarding.
Eadin will pull back after a moment, out of breath and a little flushed.
That was..different.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Pheromones and a pretty face.
Interesting what that'll do.
That was a good several moments, according to the cheerful look on Gal's face.
The look suggests babble may be incoming, but he's taking a little bit of air in first.
Maybe.
"Nice change of pace..."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
At least they both enjoyed it.
Eadin smiles at his cheerful facial expression.
She'll stand op the tips of her toes again, brushing the tip of her nose against his."It sure was."
She leans against his chest and closes her eyes for a moment.
"Are you still worried about... You know?"
It's been a while since that awkward conversation in Trog's...
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Randomly vanishing months of time and this is the worst they have done.
Such a mildly chaste couple, by Nexus standards.
After such a pleasant moment, it's only natural that a mildly awkward conversation arrive.
It's the way of the universe.
More positive effects having been brought up, it's slightly less of a concerning topic, but Galinai evidentally still doesn't appear to know what the correct answer is.
"A little bit...still kind of a big change, isn't it?"
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Extremely chaste. Most drop the curtain after a short conversation.
And things can not stay perfect forever. At least he's not running away like last time.
"Change? I'd still be me."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
One can always blame the love potions in Trog's water supply, perhaps.
It services.
Silly Galinai did not flee last time. He had work to do.
Has to leave now and then, or Master Uleryu would get a touch upset with him.
"Well yes, I suppose so...maybe it's not as big of a deal as I'm making it, but I'm not from a very long-lived race, so I guess I don't understand as well."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Sounds more like an aphrodisiac than love potion.
Good thing Eadin doesn't drink the water there.
In the middle of the night?
Sure.
"What's the point of living forever when everyone you love is dead and you're all alone."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Perhaps...
Assassins work better under the cover of darkness.
It makes perfect sense.
"Guess if there's no more love to be found...
Just have to make sure what you pick really matters."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Sure is a great excuse.
Eadin sighs sofly, looking a little sad. Try not to feel rejected.
"Well it's not like we have to.."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
It's a great excuse, because it's true. :smalltongue:
Meanwhile, Galinai frowns faintly.
Usually this kind of pressuring comes from the other side of the relationship, doesn't it?
How peculiar.
But he sighs, not particularly fond of making Eadin upset, and tries to revert back to a comforting mode.
"Just think that maybe should give it a little more time, so you're sure I'm worth it...
I care, I do. That's why I want you make sure you're happy with your decision."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Pressure? No.
She just feels rejected.
And that's how she reacts.
"I never said it needed to happen now, or in the near future."
She removes herself from his arms, looking away.
"If anything, you seem to need more thinking about that than me."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Always inconvenient when one tries to play it safe, for someone else's sake, and it backfires rather horribly.
As she drifts away and turns around, Galinai rubs his face and stares up at the ceiling. He ponders a bit, mostly at how women are complicated even when you try to do well for them. A bit at what she said, a bit about how this was simpler when he was playing with the cabinet doors.
"Is it so wrong for me to want you to be happy with this?"
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Women, they are confusing.
Plus Eadin's puppet master is addicted to drama.
She sits down on a chair at the table.
Feelings can be quite confusing, especially if it's the first time you feel them.
"No.." She sighs."I just wish you'd see things from my point of view."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
The cruelest of masters.
Galinai remains at the counter, lightly tracing the edge of his scarf.
Always so comforting.
He looks back down to Eadin after a moment.
"What am I not seeing?"
It's a genuine question, not accusing in any particular manner.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Poor Eadin.
"I can't enjoy life the way you humans. There is no goal. There's just seeing everyone vanish, until you are alone again."She closes her eyes for a moment."You only have to keep missing deceased loves ones until you die yourself, which usually is about 70 years. Imagine living with that feeling forever. For thousands of years. Until eventually something does happen and I die. But there won't be an afterlife for me either. I'll never see anyone again."
She turns around to look at him, a slight hint of tears in her eyes.
"I don't want to be left missing you for thousands of years with no chance of seeing you again. I don't want to watch you wither and die while I still look like I'm 20."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Poor Eadin indeed.
That little explanation seems to have rather thoroughly removed any irritation Galinai had and has given him a much softer expression.
"Oh..."
He detaches from the counter and moves back over to her, pulling the other chair over facing her.
The rogue sits in that and reaches for her hands.
"I didn't really put the emotion behind it...I don't really know what it would be like to outlive everyone. Shouldn't have assumed it wasn't hard..."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
"It's the loniest feeling in the world."
She looks at their hannds and tries to entwine their fingers.
"I don't want to lose you...
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Galinai hasn't had particularly large experience with loneliness.
His little band has always been around, in some capacity. Barring Tennel, they may not have always been fun, but they were still there.
But he's trying to sympathize, he can imagine how uncomfortable it is.
He gives her hands a little squeeze and looks up at her face.
"Won't let that happen..."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Eadin already regrets bringing this up.
A lot of thoughts and doubts fly through her mind, making her shiver.
She keeps looking down, not really willing to have him see her cry.
"I don't see you cheating death anytime soon."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Regret for exposing one's thoughts in a sincere environment should never occur, or so Galinai would say.
For now, he's more busy by trying to be comforting at the more obvious concern.
How the mood has swung, from where it was mere moments ago!
"In our world of magic, stranger things have happened than dodging the reaper..."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's apartment]
Last time she was honest didn't turn out the way she expected and she freaked.
And the mood swings just make her special, maybe a bit dangerous sometimes.
But what's life without some surprises ?
If anything, Galinai should be happy she cares so much about him.
"If you say so.." She's still looking at the ground.
Leaning forward, she presses a soft kiss on both his hands.
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Perhaps he should be happy that she cares so much, but there's the slight focus on the minor depression in front of him instead, it seems.
Seems more...pressing.
Galinai gives a little smile at the hand-kiss, seeing that this is perhaps getting a little closer to be alright again.
"I do say so. It'll work out, promise."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
Ungrateful human.
She nods. At least she made him smile.
"We'll see."
-
Re: [Nexus] Home V: Somewhere to take your family
[Eadin's Apartment]
So ungrateful for preferring her happiness to self-gloating, yup.
Galinai places a little kiss on the top of her hand and lightly wiggles his fingers.
"We'll deal with that when we get there, right?
For now, maybe we should go get some food instead. Focus on now."
