Re: My Little Pony XXXIX: There is no Pegasus Mafia!
Given that we silly American's are not used to it anymore but there are substanial parts of the world where haggling is firmly in live with culture and an expected practice. Therefore entirely consistent with lawful good behavior.
And I think I will use alignment PP on my next DnD build.

Oh and before I forget I'm going to put together a Rarity version.
LG - I'll make a dress for all of my friends!
NG - Short tails are... in... this season
CG - Out of *my* hair, what about *your hair*
LN - But it's MY mess
TN - Why the spa, of course!
CN - I'll show them a dress worthy of Canterlot!
LE - STOP! We'll do anything po- Miss Rarity
NE - MIIIIIINE (Alternate: I AM RARITY! MU-AH-HA!)
CE - I'm sure we all know a recent quote that goes here

I think the "Look upon me Equestria, for I! Am! RARITY!" quote works better for CN. Also if the "recent quote" is from last episode, and the one I'm thinking of, it fits CG better.
Dragon Quest:

"I'm more into fashion, but I'LL RIP YOU TO PIECES IF YOU TOUCH ONE SCALE ON HIS CUTE LITTLE HEAD"? That's CG in my opinion. Or maybe CN or NG. Nowhere near an evil alignment in any case.

Agreed. S2e21:

Protecting a friend from a bunch of bullies threatening him? Definitely falling on the good side of the spectrum. I could see it justified as anything from LG to CG, although I don't see anything negative/evil in the statement.

The phrase implies "Normally I'd stay out of this, but threaten someone I like and I'll fight you", i.e. she wouldn't do this just because it's the right thing to do (i.e. not Lawful), nor is she ambivalent about it (Neutral), she does it because it concerns her. So, probably CG, but bordering on CN because it also has "I wouldn't do this for someone else" undertones, whereas a Good character would compelled to help anyone being bullied.
On an unrelated note, I keep seeing this thread hovering around the ponythread in the forum view, and I can't restrain the odd imagery its name induces. What have ponies done to me?

Just cut it to "I'm more into fashion, but I'LL RIP YOU TO PIECES" and it's a great CE quote.

So last month I ordered a shirt from WeLoveFine. It arrived, everything's good, I'm wearing it right now.
Because all went so well I decided to order two shirts this month. Everything seemed fine, I paid for the shirts, I paid for shipping, then I got a letter from the local postal service today. Apparently I have to pay them 100% of the shirts' value EXTRA in taxes to them that I have not been informed about when I made the purchase! The local postal services are freakin' blackmailing me for 100 freakin' percent of the product's price and won't hand over the package unless I pay up.
And if this means they have access to information about how much I spent on this package, this seems like a clear violation of my privacy too because I was not informed of that either!. I did not agree to inform the local postal services of my spendings!
Oh how I wish I were a millionaire and could unleash a horde of rabid lawyers on their flanks! All I get to do is complain and probably achieve nothing but "pay up or no pony shirts, take your pick". But you can bet I'm gonna complain!

Then I'd be chuckling at "flank speed ahead" and "flanking maneuver", not to mention "flanking the enemy" or especially the reverse, "enemy in our flank". I'm not military, but these come up in games I play pretty often.

Actually, the US postal service has an excellent mediation program for dispute resolution if you complain long enough to get there.

I don't live in the US though, so I don't think that applies.

After a little more examination of the details, it seems about half of what I have to pay extra is import tax, which I suppose is what it is. Likely nothing to do about that, although I find it very annoying that I am not informed about this when I make my purchase.
The other half, or in fact a little more than half, is just the postal service charging me for figuring out how much import tax I have to pay. Apparently it differs a little who gets to do that and how much they each charge, and also it's not entirely clear to me when I have to pay import tax and when I don't. But either way, the local postal service charges outrageous sums for telling me how much I need to pay.
This seems to go back many years and seems it's had politicians very concerned about how it negatively affects international trade (I only have to pay import tax if I buy outside the EU), but politicians are apparently quick enough to voice their concerns but take forever to do anything about it.
So I don't have much hope. Especially because I'm not a terribly well-connected person who could get any kind of campaign moving. I'd get, like, maybe 5 signatures if I tried. It'd be pathetic :smallfrown:
Oh yeah... pony, can't forget the pony

Worse than having a baby dragon living in the same library? A baby dragon prone to gout flame on sneezing or hiccuping? I think as long as they get a decent cage they're fine.

Ah, yes that is unfortunate then. At least they're not strictly blackmailing you.
And it's Tuesday now, so we can dispense with spoilers maybe? Ah well, I'm sure that if I'm wrong a bunch of people will yell at me.
Regarding the library, I don't think a baby phoenix would be too much of an issue. We've already seen that Spike can breathe fire and has a minor dust allergy and most of the library remains intact. And wood is probably resistant enough to the tiny fires that a young phoenix would create that it's not especially likely to burn down the whole library.

Re: My Little Pony XXXIX: There is no Pegasus Mafia!
Technically its a 72 hour rule which would shift with the new airing time to be later... so there is still 1 hour and 19 minutes.
I almost made unspoiled some posts earlier but though I think it stupid to wait more then a day.... ehh I think everyone know my position there.
