IC, there's plenty of reasons to hate them after all the deaths in Inside.
OOC, it's as much a part of their background as their Exaltation and Charms and such, so I'm having a hard time understanding why you think it would be unfair. As PM said, it's one of the ways they're kept in check in their original setting. Instead of making them unplayable, I'd think it would give them lots of rp potential - having to evade slayers, getting in fights, recruiting anti-wyld hunt parties, etc.
Well, I suppose it's understandable to feel wary of hostility towards your favorite character type.
And as I said, Wenomir wouldn't actually support an anti-Exalted crusade. I exaggerated his character traits again... in fact, if Wyld Hunt were to actually show up in the Nexus, he'd most likely support the Celestials if he got involved at all.
Yeah, maybe at some point, HT, but at the moment? I don't really feel like dealing with it.
On the other hand, I'd be willing to help set up a potential situation where the Wyld Hunt might come to the Nexus more often, but in the future. Also, given its nature, Terrestrials would be exempt. Not that anyone actually plays a Terrestrial Exalted at the moment. :smalltongue:
*considers making an anteater character*
...
Nah. Not cat enough.
Anyways, Reinholdt's very much not fond of Exalted at all, especially after Anshu and Ebony. Believes them to be like gods who abuse their power to interfere in mortals' lives. Any he can justifiably kill, he probably will. Any and all Abyssals come to mind.
Whether he'd join a genocide crusade against all of them? Mmm... probably not. Probably.
BR has a Wood-Aspect Terrestial in the registry, but I don't think he's actually player her. Lack of time and all that.Quote:

I know Terrestrials are exempt in the Exalted-verse version of the Wyld Hunt, but I don't know why a Nexus variation would make the same decision. If Nexus citizens got all riled up and wanted to kill Exalted, they wouldn't make distinctions.
That said, plot isn't forced on the unwilling. If an Exalted massacre plot happens, the slayers will just have to somehow not find your characters.
Magtok's stance on Wyld Hunts: "A big organized hunt on Exalted? Meh.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like the arrogant little godlings either, but that's about as sensible as declaring war on all dragons, or on France, or on me. Sure, there's plenty of reasons to hate treasure-hoarding lizards, people who eat crêpes, and that one obnoxious guy who smugly waves his inability to stay dead in people's faces and is a total jerkface pain in the neck, but every single one of those things I listed, except maybe France when it has no guy with a fancy hat to back it up, they're all really vicious and dangerous and deadly if backed into a corner.
Now, if you were to invite me to a 'Burn their Embassy stuff down and throw pudding cups at the Exalted' party, then fudge yes, I'm in, because that's silly and if they critically injure someone over that, then they're worse than I thought. Until that happens though, you tell your Je-Yozi's Witnesses or whatever to stop knocking on my MagCave door, send those informative pamphlets to someone else, and leave me the fudge alone.
Besides, I've got a wedding to plan. I don't need to be making any more enemies right now, security's going to be expensive enough as is."
Isn't it the high time for Magtok to send out invitations to the wedding? :smalltongue:
Also, any opinions on the plot idea?
*looks at Digest*
Is it just me or is Bell secretly Ba'al?

Right.

*totally doesn't read that thread so has an excuse*
Hey, kudos for figuring it out. He'd mentioned it to me before he started, but I'm pretty sure it would have gone right over my head without that.
Also, Reinholdt (the Meek) did have another name for a while. Remember Bryan?
Sorry, missed this before.
What would the plot be though? How would this affect PCs? I imagine most people would say 'Oh sure. Good luck to you.' and leave it at that.
Well, at first it was supposed to be just a background thing, meaning no PC involvement would be expected. But since forming a small nation - which is what a goblin colony is - is a big deal, so I think the goblins would come to various PCs for help, thus making it a plot. GLoG would be an obvious choice for that. Bill's dorfs would fit in perfectly but... *shakes fist at timezones*.
I think the question is Morty is HOW would the PCs help? What would they be asked to do?
I do. But that was Meek, who was never Reinholdt Clone, despite being a sort of a Clone. And an attempt at being incognito. And didn't last very long at all. Maybe all of two weeks. :smalltongue:
But would he lose his titles too is definitely part of the question. Cause Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire is one of those defining titles about him and is a great conversation starter. *nod nod*
I think I would just have trouble thinking of him as anything but Reinholdt, after referring to him as such for oh... 2 years now. Imagine if Magtok was suddenly renamed altogether, not just using another alias.
Oh Ire and Wrenn would totally be involved in a Wyld Hunt, most likely victor too
Isn't it high time you shush I'm too busy being lazy right now? :smalltongue:
As for your plawt, all I can say is that Magtok would quite obviously be strongly opposed to a colony of goblins anywhere near the mountainous terrain around the MagCave. Which is precisely why it should happen.
That solves the problem of location, then.
@ Rein: OOC, I'm sure everyone would get used to a name change pretty quickly. IC, it'd be hell for him. And you generally fall on the side of doing hellish things to him. :smallwink:
@ Morty: Goblins near the Glass Citadel. That is all.
@ Ruki: Love Which Witch.
*awards Magtok another Internet*
Even Falcon/Shrike? :smalltongue:
Ditto. Plus, her reason for being has kinda...well, gone away now. <_<

Link to the start. Who knows, maybe it even leads to Narnia. :smallwink:

I totally responded first to the plot. :smallfrown:
