Oh, just noticed you had a new ruler. Well that's a bonus. Anyway, my invasion of you has less to do with that, and more to do with the HW.

SPeaking for myself, I do.
I enjoy writing fluff if only for my own benefit. I put in foreshadowing of what I see my main character(s) doing in future rounds. I hope other's enjoy it as well. So I take the time to read other people's fluff as well.
I don't always comment, however. I'm bad at that. So here goes"

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

I apologize QuintonBeck! Really sorry! But it was an interesting talk.
So, your ballpark figure so far is 21 units under the command of a military 10 leader.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II: 2 Quest, 2 Curious
Well, Waylander, the good news is you have more than one country, so 2 rounds won't be enough to do you in. Plus if there's enough of a resistance, perhaps it will be like a game of Risk - I take over countries X, Y, and Z, and end the turn with 1 army on each. Ruler I took these from starts his turn, and rolls right back over them.
The trick is, who is assisting on each side of the war....
(also, does that mean you'd give up your War Table management?? :smallfrown:)
Alright folks, working on my updates! As per usual, I'll update the stats first. Did everyone make sure to include ruler changes and new stat rolls in their posts? Hope so! (also morph, what is the current ruling for how we are doing the new rulers in the inheritance tactic?)

Probably not. I mean they use milk. A true sympol soaks his cereal in the blood of his enemies.

Well, that's not the wisest choice. Milk is much more convenient and much more sustainable than the blood of one's enemies.
In any case, I have writing to get to, but it's my birthday so I'm going to slack off more than usual.

Recent events might suggest that enemies are a sustainable resource for the Sympol.

Alright, for round 6, I see: Ignato empire, Sanctuary, Ashenia, Eyrecradia, Kasumor, Calorum, and Gunung all have new rulers. Am I missing anyone?
Rain - Is this your new ruler's stats? Make sure you link these things when you post the new ruler transition, so I don't have to slog so much, almost didn't find it. :smallwink: I'd prefer if you rolled when the ruler changes hands. Makes things easier.
Chief - I need your roll for the new ruler of Calorum, unless the high priest is not the ruler, in which case I am mistaken.

Spoiler: Terrain
Show
Terrain: Mountains are common, with snow being a constant factor in life. Caverns are surprisingly common, including the seers caves where crystal grows and the seers say they can see the what will happen. It's all rubbish of course, but the crystal is valued as a very reflective surface for mirrors, and holds a sharp edge. In other caverns, coal is common, as are ores like tin and lead. These ores have led to wealth for whatever clan holds them. A defining feature of the area is the black wood, where most of the lumber in the Pryonic lands comes from. But the black wood is dangerous, with things made of purest ice said to guard its heart. The last important landmark is the temple of the flame, a huge temple to fire that took nearly a century to complete. It is one the most common pilgrimage sites, and known as the place where an army of heathens was defeated. This happened in the "distant past" and is likely exaggerated, but pilgrims still flock here to worship and await holy benediction.

People: The people in this land are fair skinned, dark haired, and relatively short. They are fiercely clannish, but less so in recent years.

Religion: The people of the Pryonic lands are very religious and dedicated to the lord of fire and his burning avatar. VERY MUCH SO. They could even be called fanatic.

Pryonian armies are composed of a 6/2/2 ratio of spearmen to archers to combat engineers, who build fortifications and specialize in tunnel fighting.
Most spearmen are armed with: Long spear, large shield, short sword, mail with light helm. They fight in primarily in the standard phalanx, but are trained to exploit any opening in an enemy line. The other formations they fight in are the wedge and tunnel fighting formation which is in essence a much tighter, thinner version of the phalanx.
Archers function as skirmishers, and retreat behind the battle line once the close in fighting begins. They are tasked with recon and path finding, and are armed with: Longbow, short sword, leather with light helm, and two quivers with 60 arrows each.
Combat engineers build the walls, tunnels and forts that dominate Pryonian warfare, an also function as a reserve and tunnel fighting troops. They are armed thusly: Short sword, leather with light helm, small shield, and various digging and construction gear

Spoiler: Terrain
Show
Terrain: Given the underground nature of Galie-Noiret, much of the region would not be dark if not for the Fire Moss(poor resource) that covers most of the walls. The three major landmarks are The Library of the Fire Singers, which holds all the lore of the holy works of the prophets who brought the burning words to the Galie more than 90 years before the common era, the Stink pits, in which contain the Sulfer(Good resource) used for fertilizer for the mushrooms cultivated for food( poor resource ), and the Black sea, an underground sea that is rumored to lead to the ocean.
Spoiler: People
Show
People: The Galie are short, slightly stunted, pale skinned, shaggy and very strong. In addition, they appear to have a natural Empathy with all living things, and can get a feeling of emotions, which they call mind songs. They hate to kill, and are complete vegetarians, eating only the mushrooms and moss that grows in Galie-Noiret. There society is made up of four merit castes, the earth singers, who farm and build, the air singers, who scout and explore, the water singers, who sail the Black Sea and defend Galie-Noiret from monster attacks, and the fire singers, who are the governmental and religious leaders.
When the Galie must fight or even go to war, they kill from as far away as possible, with traps, trained animals, and arbalest. And when they do kill, they tend to do so with speed and guile, and as cleanly as possable, as they don't want to feel there victims pain.

Ah, well... Jaten died in round 5 and Yuuhi wouldn't turn 18 until partway through round 6 so I couldn't use his stats during round 6, I had to have a regent.

Alrighty then. I'm glad we sorted this out before I accidentally referred to "His Grace, Cardion, Duke of Pryonia".
