I'm watching To Boldly Flee. And laughing. Any day you spend laughing is a good day!

Stupid damned Windows Movie Maker, why you no work! I'm getting an error message when I start it saying that my computer doesn't have the minimum specs required, but it DOES. This is ridiculous.

Agreed. Unless, like me, you are still recovering from the removal of 4 wisdom teeth, and some laughing hurts.
Then again, I still suppose the laughing is worth it.

Did you try turning off and then on again?
Please don't hurt me!

Really. :smallconfused: I didn't hurt to laugh.
(Quick tip: if they told you to eat before taking your pain medicine, DO IT. SERIOUSLY. You do NOT want to go through all of that barfing.)

I have a VERY strong stomach. In fact, when my gaming group ate a previously frozen spaghetti dinner that (at the time) unbeknownst to us, was over 4 years old, EVERYONE (save me) was barfing and running to the bathroom with a serious case of mud-butt.
I had bad gas, and mild nausea, and I think I ate more than anyone else.

Fortunately, with my medication, I don't have to eat or anything.
I just have to remember to take it before I go to bed, because if I forget to for too long, my brain chemistry starts readjusting to the lack of medication and I'd probably end up crying and/or laughing hysterically*.
Luckily, I'm able to remember these things, and the last time I forgot was last year when my eldest brother got married.
*I've only laughed hysterically once, and that was when my Doctor, not my psychiatrist, gave me some medication to take to calm my nerves whenever I felt a panic attack coming on. He said to take one that evening to see how I reacted to it, and let's just say, the results were counter-productive.

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
My wii decided to crash while on my 81st hour of Xenoblade. It then categorically refused to read dual layered disks. My wii has been previously sent to Nintendo for laser reader cleaning. I want Xenoblade now.
Result: 3 DIY projects.
1. Use a makeshift disk cleaner with cardboard, band-aids and duct tape.
Result: Failure
2. Open wii, use q-tip to clean the reader.
Result: DAMN YOU Y SCREWS!!
3. Dance around the wii and pray to Saint Isidore, repeatedly insert Xenoblade and wish for the best.
Result: The patron saint of computers probably doesn't work for consoles and my wii is surprisingly apathetic toward my pleas.
To do:
Find an unauthorized repair shop since the cost of sending it to Nintendo (considering the guarantee has been void long ago due to time, and seeing as I unscrewed half of it and ran homebrew to check if it was a software issue) would make it cheaper for me to buy a new one.

Guys.
Guys.
The last, like week, has been the best week of my life. Seriously. I just loooove life. Yessss, I may be a little under the influence. But, like, I can go on for AGES and AGES about all the awesome things that I've done in the past week in Montreal, all the awesome people I'm now living with, and there's still basically another week until classes start.
Guys.
This is AWESOME.

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
That sounds good.
Just be careful of unexplained giant reptile attacks, they can spoil anyone's week.

Beat my parents at Rummikub this evening. Hells yes, my life is now complete. I am the chessmaster of knowing when it is impossible to try and fit an tile onto the board!

Yay! What's Rummikub? I assume Buck/Back Rummy or something, but I am unsure!

Ok, you got out of this time. Maybe later :smalltongue:
Also, I just want to take a minute out of my day to just...thank everyone. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad I've meet people like (in no particular order) Cobra, Blue, Moonie, Pinkhair, Teddy, Mattos (even if he plays mute TOO well) and anyone else I may be forgetting. Love you guys.

In Rummikub the best move is to hold all of the tiles you can and clear everything at once after the round of the first tile positioning so that other players can't benefit from your tiles. This leads to very boring Rummikub games where nothing ever happens and there are no more drawable tiles because having a competitive family means boardgames are tortuous. We are probably the only family that finishes Monopoly games as per the rules.

It's tiles, and sets, and I'll explain over IM tomorrow. I'm a wee bitty bit tired right now, and I can't use the wordy0things well enough to explain stuff.
<hugs> Thank you LaLa. Love you too.

Indeed. I managed to prevent my mother from coming out by holding back on a single piece that would have let her go out, and one that would have significantly helped my dad. I only knew that it would be wise to hold back on that particular pice because the second I placed on the table while planning, they both immediately rearranged all the tiles on their personal boards. :smallamused:

Hehe, sorry, I was only joking with that one. Though I honestly don't know why it's not working off the top of my head.
Things to try:
Download and install/reinstall the latest version.
Install Media Player Classic.
If you do get it working, I still highly recommend you install Media Player Classic and give it a try anyway.

I'll definitly keep it in mind, though thanks to Pinkhair I'm currently using the AVS Video Editor.

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Oooh Rummikub. That brings back some memories.
One of our Joker tiles had a very distinctive crease on the back of the tile in the plastic, so it was always a free-for-all melee at first pick-up to get to that tile.
Then we lost like half of the tiles and went back to normal old Rummy.

Wait, so Rummikub is Gin Rummy? Or atleast inspired/the inspiration for it?

D'aww. Love you, too. =3
Also, your list appears to be me plus your D&D players. Except Absolmorph, who's even BETTER at playing mute. Seriously, where has he vanished to? It's a bit worrying. >.>

I have no idea what Gin Rummy is.
Rummikub is like normal playing-card Rummy, but played with Scrabble-like tiles, numbered 1-13 and in four colours. Oh, and there's more than 52 cards/tiles. You make groups of 3 or more, grouped by run or colour, just like the card game. The only real difference is you play it with plastic tiles instead of cards.

Gin rummy is a card game that is based off rummy.
They're similar, but not identical.
Also, I need to get my Mum to teach me to play that. Someone else did years ago, but I forgot...
