*squint* So he does.
In some ways Ice King Finn was best Finn.
I like the pictures BTW.
Edit: One thing I noticed recently is there is some sort of troll monster in the opening. When the shot pans up from the candy kingdom it is in the castle, and I have never seen it in the show or an explanation for it.
That is true, aye.
And some of that stuff is pretty darn creepy. I get the occasional queasy feeling from rememebring a lot of the stuff that goes down, here. A candy coated crapsack world.
ice Prince Finn is neat! He can't be a king though. No Beard.
Hm. I'll keep an eye out for that.Quote:

Screen shot of it. I will add the panning shot so you can see where it will be.
Spoiler
Possibly Cinnamon Bun?
Possibly this guy.
That's what his wiki says. Drat. Thanks Pokonic! Oh well, sometimes you find easter eggs and sometimes you delude yourself.
Speaking of surprisingly creepy/dark adventure time moments...
I recently binged and caught up on adventure time after getting distracted halfway through season three.
I Remember You has replaced What Was Missing as my favorite episode. I quite literally had tears after watching it. Ice king has changed from one of my least favorite characters to the most awesome tragic hero in my mind. The Finn the Human episode implies that, even if he didn't stop the fallout of the muchroom war he probably played some crucial damage control and life preservation role in real Ooo. How much of life was saved because it was frozen through the worst and thawed out? I cannot wait for the next episode to reveal more about Simon. Also, the implications that, even now, Simon has moments of lucidity (he describes his journal as being wet with tears, a recent moment before devolving into Marceline song time?), has potential for him being lucid for an episode too which...there are no words to describe how awesome yet tragic that could be.
Also, BMO continues to get increasingly awesome. A little tragic too considering the damage self-inflicted in it's imagination time.
Yeah, BMO's desire to become a real person is one of the better subplots.
I may be remembering this incorrectly, but in the short preview, Marcy says "Your songs are so good". Doesn't Ice Kings say "Marcelline's songs are so good." in a similar way in the beginning of I Remember You?
Well, this is probably going to cause all the organs to fail. All of them.
Meanwhile, this probably sums up what's going on in the writer's studio regarding Pen and Natasha.

The new episode got leaked. I won't link it, because I know people prefer to wait and not be tempted, but the option to look for it is there.
The episode...
Spoiler...is full of "the feels".
I'll say more after the episode officially airs.
Okay, perhaps I will join in the discussion.
SpoilerPrincess Bubblegum's ancestor, I guess. Or maybe Bubblegum is actually older than we think.
I worry that those green ooze-spewing monsters were once human. :smalleek:
And I note that they've still left things open for a continuation. We still haven't seen how Marcy became a vampire, for instance.
SpoilerThat's what I thought (bubblegums ancestor.) Also the gross monster people look like the zombie candy people do in Slumber Party Panic. Suuuuugarrrr!
Apparently she didn't become a vampire in the alternate reality, so maybe they didn't exist until after the Lich's bomb? We haven't seen any other than Marceline anyways...
So, I'm weak as well.
Spoiler1. I second the call of the area they were in being the proto-candy kingdom. Whether that was the beginning of princess bubble gum or just an ancestor, it's still some awesome setting building. I'll also point out that PB's age is a fixed point as much as anything (or rather, is dependent on factors other than time), so it is possible that she has been '18' for quite a long time
2. So, definitive ages for Ice King and Marceline. This is cool.
3. The crown definitely seems to have a one ring effect, Simon seems to automatically jump to it as a first resource and only force of will and Marceline cause him to try other tactics first. I wonder, if the crown was taken away from him for a long period, if he would revert back.
4. Much happier and light hearted than I expected, but that's probably for the best. I was sorta expecting this to show the day when Simon was too consumed by the crown and no longer protected Marceline, but instead we got a show of Simon being in control of the crown. I was also thinking they might do a surprising and sad lucid moment from the ice king in the end, like him finishing the story, only to have no idea what he was saying the next moment.
5. The relationship between Marceline and the ice king now is nice. The small bits we get of them playing basketball really show how Marceline has come to terms with it all from I remember you.
You guys are butts >:O
I have to waaaaait <__<
I wonder how this whole leaked episode stuff even happens. I mean, who gets in there and lets it out? Is it a publicity thing? Is there a mole?
Or maybe its hackers?
Just watched it too.
SpoilerI think Simon kept it because he knew he needed it. Simon's no fighter and a post-apocalyptic wasteland isn't exactly a safe place for a 47 year old man and a 7 year old girl. Better to sacrifice his mind and keep the two of them alive than let them be killed by the horrors of the waste.
I think the funniest moment was Simon singing the Cheers theme while trying to entertain Marceline. Tragically fitting too, especially the way it came back at the end when he was trying to keep in control while using the crown.
So yeah... Very touching episode without being as gut-wrenchingly sad as Holly Jolly Secrets or I Remember You.
"Filmed before a live studio audience. Norm!"
Hey everybody. Long time since I posted in this thread (ironic since I created it) but I'm back. First, can I say the Great Birdman to me was just a way to try and get as much crap past the radar as possible. Still a good episode though. Also, really looking forward to Simon and Marcy! Should be great!
Probably because after a certain point you CANT change it anymore. :smalltongue:
That's a good point. We need a flood of posting to hit Page 50 so that we can update to Season 5. ;)
