As ever, I enjoy how the irregulars can twist the meaning behind the quotes that they choose to utilize from the actual movies.

Well, it would make more sense then moisture farming. Besides, Tatooine is a hive of scum and villainy and Owens lived close to the worst part of it: Mos Eisley. It would also explain, why Owens were so paranoid about everything and armed to their teeth (aside from the Sand People incident in Episode II).
-
Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Moisture farming is actually fairly reasonable at a certain level of engineering technology, and is something George Lucas ripped off from a couple of throwaway references in Dune, so it's not as nonsensical as most of the "okay, but really this happened" moments in this comic.
Also if we're getting into names, I don't feel the need to hold unnamed-on-camera side characters against the man when he gave his main characters names like Han Solo and Luke S.

The difference being in Dune water was so precious, you had to recycle the air you breath among other bodily fluids. If everone can afford to breath out water, then it's not expensive enough to extract it from air. Stillsuits are way more reasonable then moisture farms, since the air we breath out has more water in it, then the one we breath in. Having moisture farms and no stillsuits would be like disposing sewage directly into the rivers and then extracting the waste out of those rivers.
Yes, I'm nitpicking and it's just an unimportant detail in Star Wars (not a central plot point, like in Ice Pirates - not a very good movie, but worth seeing anyway for trippy time shenanigans in the later part of the movie), but it's not reasonable in those circumstances.
-
Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
According to the novelization, the purpose was to collect water for farming plants.
-
Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Some parts of the world get great banks of fog, but not rain, and are very arid.
Collecting it could be considered 'moisture farming'.

My home planet's economy revolves around finding stinking black goo in the ground, pumping it out and then burning it.
I'm not in the position to make fun of anybody.

Wasn't Lucas looking into doing an adaptation or knockoff of Dune before he wound up doing Star Wars, too?

I wouldn't be surprised if Greedo changes his name to Han Solo after shooting the original. To avoid suspicion, see.

Something's not right here, and not with the plot - Panel 4 has the colors of the speech bubbles inverted.

But he already introduced himself to the party... won't that be really weird?
Also: Yeah, the mis-colored panel confused me for a few seconds... I don't think it's on purpose (?)
Concerning the annotation:
I guess my gaming group should be ashamed none of us speak any imaginary languages...

Well, since both Klingon and Quenya are actual languages with structural rules and since you are able to communicate in both, I would hardly say they are imaginary languages. I think the usual term is... constructed language?
I'm still loving the still frames of Harrison Ford.

Or maybe better fictional. You're right, sorry.
So, if Chewy is the brains of the duo... will the GM use him to influence the party? (and fail?)
-
Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
My guess is that Greedo takes over Han's identity (since all other major characters are at least called pretty much the same things as they are in the movies) and drops the faux-italian accent (while it is rather humorous right now, I fear that it might be getting old quite soon).

The immediate transfer to 'Han's' signature 'kiddo' - very smooth.
