Alyssa laughs nervously. "I'm not really the best, uh, trainer. So I don't know if I'd be able to do that." She looks down a bit, wistful. "My...my brother was always the one who was good at battling."

Alyssa laughs nervously. "I'm not really the best, uh, trainer. So I don't know if I'd be able to do that." She looks down a bit, wistful. "My...my brother was always the one who was good at battling."
Leah nods as she's informed that the Tinkaton is looking for a strong trainer. Her mind, of course, goes straight to Sass. Lifting the pokéball from the pokémon's offering hand, Leah frowns, "Oh! Someone's already, uh, already used this one. Did you find this lying around somewhere? ... Is it yours?"
Royal perks up, an impressive feat, considering her eternally perked-up attitude. "Your brother's a battler, huh? How tough is he?"

The Tinkaton nods several times at Leah's question, then mimics tapping the ball aganist its head as though to make sure she knows what it means.
Really good!" Alyssa brightens a bit. "Last time I saw him, he was trying to become Champion. I don't know how well he was doing on that, but, uh, I think things were going well."
Leah pauses then gives a nod, "Got it. So you're looking for a new trainer!" She hesitates, then gives the pokémon a worried look, "... What happened to your old trainer..? Are they ok..?"
"Is he?" Royal asks with a flash of a grin. "Then I guess I'm going to see him sooner or later. Won't hurt our friendship if I humble him a little, I hope?" She winks.

Tinkaton claps its hands together at Leah's last sentence, then waggles the rod several times!
"I don't think so. As long as you're not mean about it." Alyssa winks back. "How did you get good at battling? Or, um, I guess I mean what made you want to become good at it?"
