And that's good? Remember, the BBEG is not going to ask politely just because he's attracted to you... this could well devolve into a nightmare. Does it affect people who wouldn't normally be attracted to you? E.g., is Radic attracted to Janine?

I told you there's a reason Serrin's mom didn't make any more of it.
Uh, no. Radic's not physically attracted to other women, so she's unaffected.

Nonsense.
It's a great thing they never made any more, though. Let's hope nobody can figure out how they made it and replicate it. :smalleek:

So judging by the evidence, Lloyd either has a good Will save or is gay. I wonder how Janine would react if he was gay.

Lloyd's probably thanking Astrid for Divine Grace right now. :smalltongue:

"Oh man, this is tempting..."
Although I'll admit it would be pretty entertaining to see Janine's reaction...

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Janine may be into yaoi. Hmm... yaoi LloydxMatt...
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
That would be really funny, but let's please try to stay appropriate.
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Coffee made it very clear that Lloyd was not homosexual in the first pages of the first thread.
Also, Serrin stated the potion worked only on those who're attracted to your sex to begin with. Presumably, if one's not attracted to your species, they shouldn't be affected either.
Additionally, yes, Lloyd is attracted to women, as his reaction to Janine (cited by The Dark Fiddler) in the latest comic indicates.

Or not. You mentioned this about two or three pages back, and it's still not good.

Didn't he/she just do like four updates in four days?
@Discord: You're forgetting that tinder is a dragon, not a human.

In human form, and thus fuelled by human hormones. Not to mention he may just be into human women despite his actual species anyway.

She did?:smallconfused: I vaguely recall doing only 2 updates recently. Am I off?...

He's still a DRAGON. With a DRAGON'S brain. Which means he's got DRAGON hormones.
Or being a different species just gives a bonus to your save and he screwed it up as mentioned above :smalltongue:

I don't think Polymorph Self works that way. The mind remains intact, but the whole body, including the brain, changes. And I did say "presumably" when I established my hypothesis.
Either way, we don't know how dragons' natural ability to polymorph themselves into humans works in Coffee's world.

i assumed it was shapechange or a homebrew ability.
Also: the mind and brain are too intimately linked to change the brain without changing the mind.

True.

You'd think so, but magic throws a pretty big wrench into that.
We'll have to wait for Coffee to answer this. :smalltongue:

Yeah, Tinder still has a dragon's mind, but a dragon's brain wouldn't fit in his skull, or link properly with his nervous or circulatory systems.
Whether this means he would find humans attractive in his current form (assuming he normally doesn't)...well, there's no real-world precedent, so only Coffee can say.
And from Comic #40, indications are that the answer is "yes".

According to Dragonlance, a book series following the rules of and being canon in a setting of DnD, dragons can indeed fall in love with humanoids. The books state that they only do when they are humanoid themselves so a fair bet is that the rules say that Tinder have human hormones.
Of course since this is Coffee's comic and those books are from second edition, Coffee gets the last say in this anyway so my comment is pretty much moot :smalltongue:

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread 2!)
Given the amount of half-dragons running around, it's safe to say that dragons can at least fall in lust with non-dragons. All the time.

That phrase is abusable. Change it to anyone, quick.

We're talking about Tinder and you reply that dragons mate with anyone, leading me to deduce that they do that in your world in addition to doing it in DnD itself. Promiscuous dragons are a pretty classic stereotype of DnD and you're set to go against stereotypes in Murphy's Law. Seems pretty clear to me.
