Comic 612. Aftermath!

Pardon if I may be wrong but I'm getting the feeling that Rand is very self-aware of the body of a Custodes.
And making every use of it of course. :smalltongue:

Gee I wonder why.
Comic 513 is here. Let's follow someone else shall we?

Depends on how much of a munchkin he is.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It's a munchkin arms-race. 10,000 year-old supersoldier among supersoldiers vs ~30 year-old warrior with Vector Witch powers. Take yer bets.
Comic 614 is up. It happens.

But we did see him complain...
Anyway, if Rand fell from where he was because the ground around him was vaporized, where was Lahvin at the time to keep his surroundings safe and have Rand fall in front of him?

So that's what low charisma looks like...
Also what happens is someone uses resurrection on rand's true body? will it rise as the custodies or the lizard?

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Here's something nobody's seen in a while or saw coming...
Metroid: Consternation Comic 18!
The quality is crap, I know. Gimme a sec i'll try and get a crisp one. Done.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Nobody reads this comic, and even fewer people read Metroid: Consternation so whatever.
Comic 614 is up. In three days? My god...

I'm not too sure about what¡s the problem with Torn's level. The guy thinks it has to be wrong, but how? Too big or too small?

Possibly "a class so over-optimisable that having any levels in it at all is a cause for trouble."
Like planar Shepard

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It'll be important later.
Comic 615 is up. I'm experimenting with set and character composition in this comic, let me know what you think.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I really like pannels 2 through 5, the perspectives and the characters positioning.
And did you make Marnia's speech more complicated? Or is it because she's angry?
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
To be fair I haven't written Marnia talking in a while and I should probably brush up on my shakespearean dialect, but I wrote it as I believe I always have, whether or not it's more complicated, well...just assume she always talks like that. Because she does.
And since all of the one feedback i've gotten is positive, i'll continue playing with composition. This time, I threw in an odd angle (fish-eye lens?) into the mix. Again, let me know what you think.
Comic 616.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Xeno pops up at the bottom of pannel 1 into pannel 4.
Pannel 2 is fine, but Marnia looks weird to me given the position and POV. But it might be just me.
Besides that, I see no problem, and It's actually nice to see characters from the back and other angles.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Angles? That's new.
Also, the plot thickens.

The plot has been like chicken broth for quite a while, can it thicken even more?

I actually agree, but that's probably because i've never drawn a reptilian character from that angle.

Hmm. Great strip, I don't have any critique. Nice job on the Tau's ship's name.

The holy-crap what? 'holy-crap-there's-enemies'?
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It's supposed to be "holy crap these names" but I took a second look at it and "Holy crap there's enemies" works too :smalltongue:
Comic 618.
Now if you'll excuse me i've been looking forward to playing Pokemon X all day.

A chainsword. That Tau should now better. Now, let the battle start and enjoy ourselves.
I would say more, but I'm to busy watching that video on your signature.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
By all means, keep an eye on my sig for new videos. I post 'em as I find 'em. But considering the majority of stuff I look for is either orchestral music, political stuff, and includes some profanity, I don't update as often as you'd think.
Ask the Custodes 9 pt 1 is FINALLY up. Truth be told i've been sitting on this for months, i've just put off completing it for a longass time, so in order to meet my 5-day deadline I decided to cut out this part that's already been completed and repackage it as Part 1.
In the meantime, disregard the fact that due to IRL, 619 won't be finished until tomorrow or Saturday.

1) The Space Wolves are chapter in name only. They're still Legion-sized. :smalltongue:
2) Why is that ordinary thousand sons marine talking when it has no will of its own?
3) As I recall, Magnus sold HIMSELF out the first time to save HIS LEGION'S sorry ass, and
4) Ahriman is hardly one to talk about selling out others for personal gain (The Rubrick, anyone?)
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Not as educated on the matter as HalfTangible, but I approve of the strip.
I was, however, under the impression that Ahriman was not only incredible powerful, but also was the only possessor of a tremendously powerful and destructive spell. So now, this new guy I don't know....well, it's that time again: time to hit the wikia.

The new guy is Magnus the Red, Primarch of the Thousand Sons and Demon Prince of Tzeentch.
So... yeah. It makes perfect sense that Magnus is more powerful than Ahriman's sorry ass. Especially when that 'powerful spell' was the Rubric, which doesn't apply here.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I had actually like 15 panels already finished of Part 2, but all I can say is that the Rubric has not been forgotten. Besides, this comic is written under the assumption the readers already have some basic knowledge of the 40k universe.
Oh, and yes. RUBRIC Marines are mindless. That one guy is obviously not mindless so what else could be in Power Armor and be in the Thousand Sons...a Sorcie, perhaps?
Comic 619 is done.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I would've expected at least one of them to understand the language, and react to the "don't kill them YET". Unless there's some 40k lore justifying noone that isn't a tau learn the tongue.

What the lore lacks is justification for why the Tau all speak english. :smallwink:
