Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
Thoroughly enjoyed the latest episode.
Spoiler
Show
Difficult to say if real or day dream (Finn does have an imagination now). Mini-BMO is a cause of confusion to me. I hope they don't leave that hanging for too long. But they showed grown Finn and Finn-babies, and the continuity of Finn losing an arm only to gain a replacement. It doesn't take much to make me happy with an episode of Adventure Time.
It strikes me very much as a maturing episode to show that Finn is now firmly in those teenage years. He should be what, 14 now? Figuring out how his life is going to be, what he wants, all those things. So it might be reasonable that this was just Finn thinking stuff out in the middle of a pillow fort.

Ah snap! The death star sized one sounds awesome! I hope they eventually tell BMO's backstory...

Well that was.....strange. And I think I like that.

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
I liked this episode!
Spoiler
Show
Finn also lost him arm when he went to the future in the comic books. I'm thinking that it's not actually destiny that he loses his arm: he just thinks that having a robotic arm would be cool, so as soon as technology advances to the point where cyborgs are possible, he signs up for a replacement.
Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw CMO.

Did anyone else notice that adult Finn was voiced by Jonathan Frakes?

I did.
I enjoyed the episode, but I'm not sure if it was a dream or not...

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
Well, this is solidly in my top 10 favorite episodes, along with "What Was Missing", "I Remember You", "Simon and Marcy", and of course pretty much every season finale. I loved that every single last thing was pillow. "Finn the Flesh Pillow". "Best Pillow". "This tastes like pillow". Awesomeness.

Remember, kids, Pillows are used for bedding everywhere in the multiuniverse.

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
What I found hilarious about the episode is that an in-joke of my gaming group is the elemental plane of fluffy pillows.

I didn't, but it's suddenly a lot funnier that he had a beard.

Did anyone else take that as sort of a saucy double pillow-entendre?

(Begin fun faux-theory)
You know, form the shear amount of RPG referances in the show, it would not be that big of a stretch to say the entire show is the end result of two younger kids letting there big brother/father DM.
There's enough "kid-friendly" stuff in the game to keep there mother happy, but the DM slips in enough "adult" stuff that everyone generaly has a lot of fun, like the fact that the game's setting is partly based after the DM's fondness for darker stories and video games. The early seasons was the DM and the players having a lot of fun rule-light one shots, but as the players get older the game has slowly gotten more complex, starting with the fleshing out of the NPC's and reaching a head with The Lich, where the DM decides to tie a lot of older threads together and tell the players about other possible planes of existance to anticipate.

Going by Finns flustered expression, I don't see how it could be anything but.
Also, his hand was like, five inch's into her waist. So there's that.

Yes. No. Maybe? Who knows. Even if so Dreams in OOO have this weird prophetic element and extra-dimensional things that exist can cross over into them. Even if it was a dream Cosmic Owl could probably just pull the characters into the real world if he ever cared for some reason. Or maybe it's like, a magic dream that he can somehow re-enter. Or any one of a hundred different plot weirdness goodnesses.

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
It would be quite funny to have his children show up again in the show. And kinda sad, since he doesn't remember them. Maybe they could meet up with Jake's kids and be a sort of 2nd generation of adventurers :D
Speaking of Jake's kids, Jake seems to be using Beemo as a surrogate child now.
"Goodness Jake, why don't you do this with your other babies?"
In other news: return of the knife storm!

Actually, if we're to debate whether the episode was real or not, this is fairly good evidence in the 'imaginary' side.

Which actually brings up the knife storm itself; it represents an easy way for the tiny and apparently jobless population to get metal (besides the ruins.)

Not really. Debating whether the pillowverse was real is fair. But the knife storm was before Finn went in.
I do love that they had a knife storm again. Haven't seen once since, what, season 1?

No no, you misunderstand. I'm not saying whether the knife storm was imaginary, but rather it's presence suggests the pillow plane is imaginary.
When was the last time we saw the knife storm? In an episode about Finn and Jake's imagination. An episode where their imagination was strong enough to cause real world effects.
So, I propose that the presence of a knife storm causes some sort've increased mental capacity for vivid imagination, whether it's projecting imagined things into the real world, or causing ultra-alternative reality dreams.

I'm mostly interested in the hexoganl dream demon, devourer of minds.
Who's willing to bet that if it had eaten Finn, he never would have awoke?

So, on my way back from a Japanese restaurant with some friends last night, we totally passed a guy driving along dressed as Finn. Randomness.
