Ally grins mischievously. I can't believe it! You don't even remember what you did! Do you want me to tell you?
Ashley starts to look a little embarrased. "Would you? I guess I should know for sure."
You got so drunk last night... you actually kissed me. Her vulpine grin widens as she closely watches Ashley's reaction.
Ashley looks more than a little surprised. "I... I did?" She tries to think of what to say next, eventually settling on, "Really?"
Ally just nods seriously. She's worried that if she opens her mouth again, she's just going to laugh.
Ashley just moans a little and places her forehead on the nearest flat surface, preferably a table. At this point, it really doesn't matter what Ally does next.
... The thief bursts out into an uproarious fit of giggling. Oh wow! I really had you going, Ash!
Ashley looks up, looking more confused than before. "What do you mean?"
Hehehe... Ally gets herself under control. You didn't actually kiss me. Nothing bad happened last night at all.
"Oh." Ashley looks a mixture of relieved and disappointed, right now. "Did anything happen? Good or bad?"
Hmm... The redhead tries to put her arm around the other woman. You did call me pretty... But that's a well known fact, so no, nothing really happened.
Ashley smiles a little, and let's Ally put her arm around her. "That's all? I was going to say something like that eventually."
Yeah? Well, you're cute too, Ash. Even when you're not drunk and hitting on me.
"Thanks..." Ashley pauses for a few secconds. "Are you okay with that, though? Me saying something like that?"
Ally shrugs. Why wouldn't I be? I mean, it's kind of... more serious if you say it when you're not drunk, but I don't mind.
"That's good. Because I, er, actually do think of those words around you, even when I'm sober." Ashley looks nervous now, watching for the thief's reaction.
Huh. Thanks, I guess. She smiles at the illusionist.
Ashley smiles too. "You're welcome." She suddenly tries to pull Ally into a short hug.
Ally is hugged and returns it, albeit a little awkwardly.
Ashley soon realizes her mistake, and hurries to let go. "Sorry. I guess I shouldn't be doing that too much anymore."
And why shouldn't you? Ally grins and keeps hugging the illusionist.
"Wait, you don't know? I think I've made it plainly obvious, now." Ashley's grinning as well, though now it's her turn to feel a little awkward.
Ally finally lets go and pulls back to look at Ashley. Maybe I want to hear you say it...
Now Ashley's blushing once again, rather profusely. "I... I kind of like you, Ally." She's trying to undermine what whe wants to say, and it shows.
The thief laughs. No you don't. You don't even know me.
Ashley somehow manages to look more embarrased. "Maybe not, but I want to."
Then you're a fool. I'm most likely going to end up breaking your heart, so you should just get out now while you can. Ally frowns.
"And how do you know that?" Ashley says with a hopeful tone in her voice. "You're just going to toss it away, without any consideration?"
My mission comes first. She stands up and rubs her head. I can't afford to consider anything--or anyone--else.
Ashley stands up as well, clenching a fist in defiance. "I was going to help you with that, remember? And not just because of how I feel."
