Q647: Can the Saint and Death Knight template be applied to a creature at the same time?
A 647 No.
There is no option in the rules for templates to be applied simultaneously; all templates are serialized. Saint requires Good alignment, and Death Knight requires Evil alignment, so these are incompatible.
Q 648: Are there any vocal ramifications for being tiny, diminutive, or fine? Is it harder to hear a petal talking than say your standard orc?
A 648 Not by the RAW, a DM can always rule some, ditto for very large creatures.
Q649:Are characters with Uncanny Dodge immune to Sneak Attack, except for when being flanked?
A 649
No, Uncanny Dodge only grants immunity to Sneak Attacks (by not removing the DEX bonus) when caught Flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. An attacker however gets Sneak Attack damage every time he flanks or his target loses its DEX bonus to AC. There are several Scenarios where the target loses its DEX bonus without being flat-footed: Running (without Run feat),Balancingcorrected by douglas, Climbing just to name a few.
Q 650: How does the metamagic feat Repeat Spell work?
Q 650 A: Does it keep going off automatically each round?
Q 650 B: Is it only for one round?
Q 650 C: When the repeated spell goes off the next round is it meerly copied, or does it use one my spells per day?
A649
No. Uncanny Dodge makes it so that being flat-footed or the attacker being invisible does not make you vulnerable to sneak attacks, and flanking is by far the most common other means of qualifying for sneak attack, but it is not the only one. A character with Uncanny Dodge can also be sneak attacked by someone who feints, when he is paralyzed, and probably several other methods I can't think of. I was going to list balancing with insufficient ranks, but I checked and that works by means of making you flat-footed.
A650
A and B: It only repeats once.
C: It does not use an additional spell slot. The cost is entirely in the increased spell slot level required by the metamagic.
Q651: According to the SRD, any creature that flies may make a dive attack using talons or claws. Dragonborn and raptoran have an expanded version of the dive attack, which can work with any piercing weapon. Is this ability specific to dragonborn and raptoran, or was the dive attack itself updated somewhere to work with any piercing weapon, rather than just claws/talons?
Q 652
Is there an unenchanted suit of armor that does not reduce the wearer's speed and provides a better AC (armor bonus+DEX) than a mithral breast plate, but does not need a DEX higher than 20 to achieve the maximum AC?
Q 653
Is there a way to further improve the AC the mithril breastplate or the armor of Q 652?
Q652/4: How do negative levels affect spell slots? Enervation inflicts 1d4 negative levels, and costs a caster one highest level spell or slot. Do casters lose access to spell slots granted by levels they no longer have (and does enervation therefore affect their new max-level slots) or do they keep all the spell slots they had for the day without regard for level loss?
edit: Got ninja'd on question number.
A 654
Negative levels are not level loss and do only what the books tell us:Since there is no actual removed level, the slots are not gone they are simply emptied as if the spell(s) had been cast, meaning if all of the highest level spells have been cast before Enervation, the next lower spells will be removed. Only when negative levels become permanent (through a failed Fortitude save 24h later), actual levels are removed and everything needs to be recalculated.Quote:

There are no "levels they no longer have" until that point. The penalties for negative levels are meant to be approximations of what an actual lost level would cost, simplified and standardized for short term ease of bookkeeping, and in keeping with that purpose they are instead of - not in addition to - the actual level loss.
The clause in Enervation about losing a spell slot is a continuation of the description of what a negative level does. It is per negative level inflicted, and is an inherent part of negative levels, not an additional effect of the Enervation spell.
For an example, consider a level 10 generalist wizard with 16 intelligence. He has 2 5th level slots and 3 4th level. He has not cast any spells yet today. He gets hit by Enervation, and the attacker gets lucky with a 4. This wizard would lose both 5th level spells and 2 of the 4th level ones. He would have to choose which 1 spell of 4th level to keep.
Q 654
What exactly is a "devil" as defined in the DND rules? The SRD says:
(the rest of what it says are about most devils, not all of them)Quote:
Devils are fiends from lawful evil-aligned planes
Does this mean a teifling born in Baator is a devil?
A 654
Following the SRD definition, only if that Tiefling is Lawful Evil. However, later sources give a more specific definition, in that a Devil is an outsider from a Lawful Lower Plane that has both the [Lawful] and [Evil] subtypes, and distincts them from certain other fiends who happen to be Lawful Evil.
A654 Cont.
A Tiefling is planetouched; by definition descended from a Devil or Demon; and unlikely to be made on the Devils own plane.
Unless there's a good reason a Tiefling was born on the Devil's own plane, and I mean a very good one - they would have to be so far removed from the devil to be considered a Tiefling, and then the Tieflings mother would have to give birth to the Tiefling on the Devils plane, followed by several generations of interbreeding with other Tiefling's who've done exactly the same, before it would be considered a "devil".
So; No.
Q655
One of my players is wanting to become a Necropolitan Cleric/Crusader. He has seen the Divine Spirit Feat, and has asked me if the healing from that would hurt him, as there's no mention of such and neither is there references to Negative or Positive Energy.
A653
Is there a way to further improve the AC the mithril breastplate or the armor of Q 652?
Yes, a Wish spell can be used to improve a magic item. Though there are, obviously, costs.
Q656
I am trying to recall the name of a feat the improves the damage you deal based off your str when wielding a weapon with a signal hand. Anyone recall?
No, accidents of birth can and do happen. If the Tieflings mother happens to give birth on Baator, that tiefling is born there even though his only fiendish ancestor was a demon and this trip was the only one. No further reasons are needed. Neither this nor interbreeding on Baator does however change the [Native] Subtype. So the tiefling still does not qualify.
Re: A 653
I meant before adding an Enhancement bonus.
I don't have planescape so just went off MM1, and RoF. I suppose their are LE aligned planes I guess, it doesn't have to be Baator or the same as the parent demon, but 'from' is such an unspecific term (someone who went daytripping would be 'from' Baator, in the same way that your mum coming back from the supermarket has come 'from' the supermarket). This is getting into Semantics in a a manner that Wizards clearly didn't expect to, so 1) either explain your abuse of the wording to your DM (or fiat it if you are the DM), and 2, I'm intrigued where you are going with this, and would be interested in whatbyou want to achieve with it.
Q657
Does Deep Impact affects all iterative attacks or only the first one?
A657 Deep Impact only affects the attack you expend your focus on. Generally, it's therefore possible to use it at most once per round; however, if you have Psicrystal Containment, you can expend both focuses in order to make two attacks touch.
Q658
Does Marshal's Motivate Dexterity aura provide a bonus on Reflex saves?
Q 659
What is the AC of a barbarian using Whirling Frenzy? Is it +2 (dodge bonus form WF) or is it +0 = +2 (dodge bonus form WF) -2 (unnamed penalty from regular rage)? I'm wondering because the SRD says:
An unnamed penalty is obviously not a bonus.Quote:

A type of saving throw, related to a character's ability to withstand damage thanks to his agility or quick reactions.
A Reflex save isn't a Dexterity check, a skill check, or an initiative check. Saving throws are in their own category, and saving throw modifiers make them other than simple ability checks.Quote:

+0, for the reasons you stated.
Off-topic:Spoilerprobably meant to be +2.

Can you use SLAs to counterspell spells? For example, could a Warlock prepare to use Voracious Dispelling to counterspell? Similarly, if a Warlock had the Improved Counterspell feat, could they counterspell with invocations so long as they had an invocation that mimicked the effects of a spell that was of the same school, one or more levels higher?
