..good question. Is there Word of Thunt on that somewhere? If not, then pages like http://goblinscomic.com/06152012/ (non-combat scene, so you get a size comparison that isn't affected by dramatic camera angles) would put Biscuit at a bit over twice the height of a Viper-clan goblin. Which is on the bulky end of Medium, but still inside Medium- the size ranges are kind of really broad.
..hmm. Tracking back further shows that the Vipers first referred to Biscuit as 'Large Orc', and he himself says the Roak were the 'largest orcs', but that still doesn't confirm actual Large size. If I had to guess, I'd say Biscuit's appearance corresponds more to perhaps a Powerful Build Orc subrace.

Re: Goblins IX: For that, you shall DIE!
Thunt did indeed confirm via a tweet that Biscuit was Large, if I recall correctly. We had a discussion on it not too long ago, actually. Surely within this thread.

actually my point exactely: theatre script...
where someone thinks hours or days about a dialoge (or monolouge) that lasts a minute or two (on the outside).
does "sunny day" shtick happen at anyones gaming table?

If you hate it that much, why do you even bother to write in a forum about it? I'm sorry, but you are not making any sense.
Simple solution if you do not like it: Do not read it. Easy, huh?
Goblins is awesome and the dialogue or the story and characters are, in general, not much better or much worse than those of OotS. While both are pretty good, let's not overhype OotS as well, it also has its shortcomings.

Yep, that and other pages tell me he is medium. A large, as in big, medium, but nowhere near the as much size difference as between humans and cats.
I wouldn't even say Powerful Build. He's never been shown using a weapon that would be ungainly in a medium creatures hands of his apparent build.

You know, I would have much more sympathy to [winged queen goblin I forget the name] if she wasn't a hypocritical bitch who's living in complete denial.

Just think of that other white winged animal that is supposed to be a symbol of a God. I'm guessing that's where Thunt picked the name.

You are clearly not supposed to sympathize. She's set up to be justice porn. Like Miko.

She's clearly a French goblin, it's pronounce Doo-Vay.

If it was french, the pronunciation would be something like "du".

I will see if I can get Thunt to make a confirmation in writing. He's said it in the live-stream before, I know it. I had commented about the size of Dies and Fox and how normally they don't look so short because they're all goblins and there's no frame of reference, so when they are next to the medium orc it really brought home how short they are. The response I got is that Biscuit is large, so that's part of why there was so much difference.

Eh, I agree that the dialogue frequently leaves a lot to be desired, but if anything I'd rather see him hire an editor. Could help cut down on some of his worst habits as a writer - infodumps, awkward phrasing, a painful lack of subtlety at times, etc. - without noticeably shifting the style of the writing. Plus, the number of times I've read a sentence in Goblins, that features unnecessary commas like this one, is enough to drive a more grammatically-oriented person, bonkers.
A different writer might fix most of these issues. But this way it would still be Thunt doing the bulk of the writing, which IMO is preferable to changing writers halfway through the story. And some of his more awkward dialogue has a charm of its own; I'm no fan of Kin's "exponentially redundant vocabulary", but without it we would have never gotten that line about Takn's "flesh to futility ratio".

Ah, but in similar fight scenes, Biscuit appears bulkier but not much taller compared to Grem then Minmax is compared to Complains so I don't see how you can go on height alone.

Or discussing. I've often thought that Thunt's dialogue is ... excessive, at least in regards to info dumps. Not to mention any time a character info dumps it just sounds wrong; it just feels completely different to how the characters normally talk. Also, I don't like the random referencing of players for the PCs, because they're entirely in-character for the most part, and them talking about their players (again in character) is just... weird.

I like the dialogue and the info dumbs, but that aside: the comment we are talking about was not what I would call "discussing" in any way. It was expressing extreme dislike for what is generally going on in that comic.
You also do not see me going to a forum for friends of rap music and complain I totally dislike all this there in very general strokes.

Re: Goblins IX: For that, you shall DIE!
It's great that biscuit is treating duv like a turkey wishbone, but frankly if he can pull her wing off, i wish he would just snap her neck and kill her. Clearly it would not be that hard.

Re: Goblins IX: For that, you shall DIE!
This last comic with biscuit dialoguing REALLY reminds me of Bane from the Dark Knight Rises. Go reread the comic in Bane's voice.
"I'm helping you."

Biscuit is helping her. He hasn't any intention to kill her, regardless of how easy it may be.
-
Re: Goblins IX: For that, you shall DIE!
At least, Biscuit thinks he's helping Duv. We know this is probably going to drive Duv off the edge (or rather, help her dig herself deeper into the crater she fell into when she went off it). Well, I suppose it's possible this could teach Duv some humility. But I doubt it.

For the record guys, Thunt doesn't always draw to scale.
All we're left is that Thunt might have said he was Large while drawing, whether you want to believe that it's official or not is up to the individual.

Also, the title of chapter 48 in Book 4 is Dies, Fox, Klik And A Large Orc.

Yes, but is that large as in big or large as in size category? It honestly could go either way, and that to me still doesn't look like large the size category. On the big side of medium, but still medium.
