I wonder exactly how difficult it is to cast one out-of-discipline spell over another. That is, how difficult it would be to cast Turnamancy (shares its element, Motion, with Croakamancy, but is on the Erf axis instead of Croakamancy's Fate) over, say, Changemancy (element of Matter, Fate axis). Given Wanda's comments about Dollamancy (Fate axis, uses only the element of Motion) and assuming that spells of disciplines too far removed from the base discipline are only available after many turns of solid study (i.e. orders of magnitude longer than Wanda had time for in her entire life up to this point) means that Turnamancy is as difficult for Wanda as Dollamancy, if not more difficult. So, we look for something "closer to home", as it were. Shockmancy shares all its elements with Croakamancy (the only other choice being Retconjuration, useless for obvious reasons), and with a sufficient blast could easily knock Branch off the tower parapet, to die as a proper villain should.
Calling it now.
20 Schmuckers says Wanda uses Shockmancy to assassinate Dame Branch, with a raise to 50 if Jillian spills the beans about Temple first.
I agree, but the main story is barely moving forward. The action with Jetstone is okay, but it's been a year and Parson still hasn't walked through that damn portal!Quote:
Easy solution: come back later, and read both storys when they are finished
New page.
To quote our protagonist: "Titans, bless the good Jack Snipe".
I was going to say, "Jack, you magnifient bastard," But that works too.
SpoilerDamn. He went through the portal.
Damn. He went through the portal.
He actually went through that ****ing portal! *guitar riff*
THIS COMIC WAS YEARS IN THE MAKING.
AUGH I AM SORRY SORRY SORRY. I AM MERELY EXCITED.:smallfrown:
Re: Inner Peace 057
I like how Jack got them into the city, and kept them veiled while they ended turn and waited until Olive sent all her troops out to scout so there were no defences left. :)
Hmm. A week after the end of the world. That's about what I was figuring.
YES! YES! FINALLY!!!
Hey, they ARE flamable. As someone is finding out the hard way.
Also, Jack is, as always, the coolest.
Also also, I think we're gonna need a new thread soon.
Erfworld II: Over the Rainbow and Through the Portal
Erfworld II: Didn't we used to have a forum for this?
Erfworld II: Titan in the Playground
Erfworld II: Now we're going somewhere.
Erfworld II: getting there as slowly as regular updates will allow.
Erfworld II: Finally thinking with portals, over a year later
"Erfworld II: a thread about the webcomic Erfworld, and not its sequel as this title might appear to suggest (instead, it is meant to convey that this is the second thread about said webcomic (not counting all the threads in the Erfworld forum (meaning, specifically, the forum dedicated to Erfworld here on www.giantitp.com, not the forums at www.erfworld.com (though the threads there are not counted in the consideration of this thread as the second Erfworld thread, either))))"
...Yeah, I got nothing.
(Ah but it is the second book of said webcomic thus making it it Erfworld IIII thread)
I'm really having a hard time follwoing all fothe text update with Julian text storries, do they really serve a purpose out of backstorry exposition ?
