Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Yeah, in principle, that's pretty much how it works.
...Although I think that corset is somewhat boring.
@Golentan As long as you aren't purposefully using the wrong pronouns or something like that, you aren't a jerk, you just aren't used to him being a him.
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Really? I thought it looked really pretty.
Her skinniness is hard to judge from that angle. Corsets are meant to suck in and shape tummies, though, although that one doesn't look ridiculously tight.
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Well, I'm into crazy and impractical stuff. Like McQueen or Pugh. Although, it's quite nice compared to your average corset.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
I thought the colour pretty, but that's just way too much foofaraw. :smallyuk:
Golly, I don't think you're being a jerk. It might help to practice though. Like, make up conversations where you're talking about him so that you get used to using the right pronouns? I dunno. I'm sorry if I'm not being helpful. :smallfrown:
Or we could just all speak Mandarin instead of English, where there's no audible difference between third person pronouns. :smalltongue:

Or Turkish, where there is only one third person pronoun. Or maybe Japanese.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Gladly. Should I send them to you in a pm? Or is there a thread that would be appropriate?
And yes, we should all start saying "ta" instead of "him", "her" or "it".

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
There's the You thread out there somewhere which would be the ideal place.

Oh, haha, I thought you meant pictures of the style of fashion I like. I've been meaning to post on the You thread, but have been too shy so far. Ah well, more incentive to get some nice pictures of myself I suppose!

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
I don't think I've ever had much pronoun trouble, but I have been wrong about people's gender several times and I am and avid roleplayer so may be it is just something you need to get used to?
First I noticed about that picture was that it was very purple, does that mean I am gay?
I hope so, it's not very groovy being sad.

Look at her arms.

That's just perspective, she's leaning back.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Yeah, I think it's mostly just a weird angle thing. For contrast: look at her collar bone.
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Regarding pronouns: When talking about people for whom the right pronoun doesn't come naturally, I tend to swallow them. It's amazing how easy it is to imply the presence of a pronoun without actually using one at all.
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Does practicing in a mirror or with their picture not occur to you all or just not work for your individual psychological make up?

And a cold makes it so you can't speak half of the language. :smalltongue:

Ah, the common cold: the one weakness of tonal languages.

Okay, I yield. She is hot.

Hah! That's what you get for keeping leaky mucus membranes in your respiratory system, you mammal! :smalltongue:
Thanks for the answers guys. Also, Serp: I failed the test. I'm totally not gay.
...
Do you think we could get Kneebiter into a corset? I'd like to see that.
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Or Loopy? Then the girls of the thread could really go wild...

You guys really think that these things have not happened before? :smallconfused:

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Asta... if you're thinking about the girls going crazy I think you may be in the wrong thread. Just sayin'.

Considering it's Loopy, I imagine no one would be immune, really.
Now, immune to what, exactly, I'm still trying to figure out.

Yeah, I realized that. Then the thread could really go crazy.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Hi, queeps! I haven't seen you all in a while, though it seems we're not yet on a new thread yet. I'll take that as a sign not to feel guilty. :smalltongue: (EDIT: ohgod this is the first post of page 50 that was close)
Anyway, I have an anecdote to share with you all. So, today, I was talking with a friend of mine, and she mentioned that she used to be a boy. Now, I don't mean that she used to have boy parts - she's always had girl parts. I mean that her gender identity used to be staunchly male. She was as sure as sure could be that when she got old enough, she'd get surgery to get it all fixed. Then, sometime in her teen years, she started being female. Wham bam boom, she didn't want SRS at all anymore.
So, if you're really young, don't rage against the machine for preventing you from getting SRS at your age. It's because this sort of thing happens!BTDubs, 'queeps' means both 'queer peeps' and 'questioning peeps'. Yeah, I'm kind of a linguist.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
By the way, since we are on the last page, can we please fix the title the next thread? If we have to go with an acronym, we should go with commonly accepted ones, like LGBT or LGBTQ (the latter is my preference, by the way). Though I liked the Queer Thread suggestion earlier as well.
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
I vote for Queer Thread myself.

Why? Why should we exclude Asexuals? Plus, LGBTQ is redundant isn't it?
-
Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
DMS, you are a very cunning linguist. I vote for Queer Thread, we shouldn't do anything because of tradition. Also how is Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Questioning redundant?
