Here's some tax:

The story goes that I was playing a techie in a star wars game. After the party went and killed an entire sandcrawler worth of jawas, I came in later, hollowed it out, sealed it all up and wedged some rocket engines into it. Then we took it out and flew it into space. The DM let us mount a single station-sized weapon into it since it had so much unused space.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
I wonder- that thing actually looks a lot like the prow of a Star Galleon:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_...-class_frigate
maybe that's what the Jawas salvaged?

Interestingly enough, the Dune series has a series of mining vehicles that travel the planet mining Spice, which is an extremely valuable commodity which is only present on the very surface of a desert planet…

Actually, they more than likely repurposed the ore processing parts into scrap processing duty.
In other news, we've reached page 49. We should probably discuss a proper name for the next thread. I propose:
D&D Demotivators VII: Better Than Vista

I know you're joking around, but I must say that while you're statement is debatable, the new hero for Infamous:Second Son would have no contest. Stupid smoke powers.
Yeah, I'm still pissed that they threw away the canon endings of infamous 2. (probably)

If we're continuing the Star Wars Episode references, VII would be "Now with bigger ears."

I think we've only been using Star Wars references since V. While we could continue on that, we could also mix it up a bit, if we so wished.
Speaking of which, how about:
D&D Demotivators VII: The Deathly Hallows
D&D Demotivators VII: The Last Battle
D&D Demotivators VII: Ultimate Power, Activate Burst Mode!!
EDIT: I kinda agree with the BigHugeLabs one. Also, to help alleviate that problem in the future, we could go back to linking to AutoMotivator in the OP. Just a thought…

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
Another vote for BigHugeLabs Does Not Store Images.

How does that fix anything?:smallconfused:
You have to save images elsewhere either way... don't you?

Yes, but with just a click of a button you save them to imgur directly from Automotivator, making it ridiculously easy.

Yes, but people don't get the illusion that wigflip will save it.

Assuming it is canon, the first Knight of the Old Republic video said that mining companies keep coming to the planet to mine for ore. However there is something "wrong" with the ore and if you try to make something out of it then it just falls apart. Once they realise this they depart the company, but don't bother spreading the word so then some other new company comes in and the cycle continues.

That sounds like the kind of thing that would come up in research before setting up such costly operations.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
I have a "real" suggestion for the next thread title:
D&D Demotivators VII: Dr. Epic's Awesome Saga of Awesomeness!!!
A "real" "humble" suggestion from me, Dr. Epic.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
The answer is, has, and always will be, "D&D Demotivators Episode VII: BigHugeLabs STILL Doesn't Store Images".
-
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
Tygre, before the thread is over I have to ask: where do you get all those excellent quotes?
-
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
FROM THE GARDEN OF MY MIIIIIND. Incidentally, a belated happy Fred Rogers Day to you all.
But in all seriousness, I just look at a picture and try to think of what fits. Sometimes it's a quote from a poem or song, and sometimes a phrase just forms itself in my head. I've usually got to do a little digging and refinement here and there, but I think it's worth it in the end.
Thanks for asking.

Everyone should know that by now

On the WoTC Vbulletin threads for demotivators, there was a picture explaining that BigHugeLabs does not store images, three separate threads were named some variation of that statement. There were still people that posted directly from BigHugeLabs, several times a thread, some even after being told that after posting from BigHugeLabs.
Everyone should knowing something is not a guarantee of them actually knowing it. You could make the first demotivator on every page such an explanation and people would still do it.
-
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
Everyone SHOULD know. Should rarely means anything in the real world. This is the same world where we have to have disclaimers like 'Car is not a skateboad. Do not attempt' or 'Do not use microwave to dry pet' or 'Do not pour liquids into the television set'.
-
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
I made the BHL doesn't store image we had a few pages ago, so my vote is for
"Big Huge Labs absolutely refuses to store images, no mater how many times you try."
Yes?

And we are doomed
Still does not mean we cannot try for some modicum of comedy, so I say no referencing the Big Huge labs because people will eventually learn
And its still not funny and this is what these threads are about comedy, strange things etc
