Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Character 1: "Why is X this way?"
Character 2 (spooky voice): "Nobody knows."
Truly, this is the pinnacle of worldbuilding.

Still better than "the author thinks it looks cool".
I guess Arduak is trying to spare Snout's sanity.
A futile endeavour. He never had any. :smallamused:
Also, I know what Snout's going to do the next few pages...:smallsigh:

He's fallen in the wah-taa! /Little Jim

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Wait, where did the giant rock go? The one where he left his overalls to dry? Come on, that was the previous page! 😓
This comic must be so damn jarring to read in a print format. Look at the last eight pages or so and imagine what it’s like to read them as one block.

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Hah, kinda amazed that after all this time Mookie is still going and has created a sequel to the original monstrosity.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Today marks 20 years since the first strip of Dominic Deegan! :smallcool: I know that I spend most of my time pointing out its flaws, but that's some dedication.
I somewhat miss Star Power, however; well, what Star Power could have been, at least.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Hahaha
So another wall of text. We get the name of a guy who I don't think was ever on-panel in the first place (kinda surprising, since Mookie doesn't seem fond of skipping over boring, unimportant stuff that slow down the already-glacial plot, but I'm not complaining); and a mention that the gal who was plot-relevant and seen several time will remain nameless.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
I'm just glad that Snout's Little Snout isn't one of the gates.

I also give Mookie credit for sticking to his update schedule and consistently creating content. The quality may be debated, but he is proving that “quantity has a quality all of its own.”
As for Star Power, Mookie and Garth put in a lot of effort, and they really wanted it to be picked up by a publisher, so I am sure they wished it had turned out differently.

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
New comic
So, Snout figured out how to get to that dream city place?
Because I understand even less of that rambling than usual.
If they're the gates and the city has five gates, does that mean you need five people sleeping dreaming to reach that place?:smallconfused:
Bad phrasing. Very bad phrasing... :smalleek:
Also, the previous comic...
:smallyuk:Eww:smallyuk:

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Man, it's amazing how much Snout has accomplished by simply sleeping. It's a wonder no one else has ever accomplished this if it's so easy.

I think that a good reason why nudity is so rare outside of specific settings is that underwear protects you from some problems, but also protects others from contact with your underparts and items from contamination. I wouldn't like to sit naked where someone else just sat naked.

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Neither Dominic Deegan nor its sequel ever grabbed my attention, but I do find the snark in this thread consistently entertaining. :smalltongue:

That's literally all public toilets.

Imagine some DD fan who was unironically happy for a chance to return to that world and characters
and then they opened Legacy on Wed’s comic

Not gonna look, I've made that mistake before.

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
New comic
Oh, is she turning into a killer vine?
Did Snout "save" the vines' equivalent of a fruit?
Because that would be hilarious.
Just as they get close to find that city dream they get eaten by killer plants.
Because they brought the seeds home with them.
Actually, that makes almost too much sense.
So I guess it's something else?
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Maybe off-panel, she’s been having a deep and character-defining inner arc, we just didn’t see it.
What WERE the three of them doing during the last arc, anyway? Just standing there waiting for Snout to finish farting around?

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Man, ink magic really can do anything the plot requires it to do, huh?

The one thing it cannot do is create a soul.

Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Vine Lady needs order to control herself? Wow, that's so deep that it loops right back around into stupid.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Yeah, when Mookie said he was inspired by Moebius, I assumed he meant the artist and not the mathematician.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
She needs order? Just get her some pizza.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Please tell me they're going to put some clothes on before going to that city.:smallsigh:
Oh, who am I kidding? It's a dreamscape. Everyone will be naked.:smalleek:

What do all those looks mean?

Whatever "it" is. I've got no idea what is going on since before the last dream sequence.

Vine Lady is telling Ink Witch and Articuno about what happened in the dream, and Snout is being a selfish prick and making it all all about him by passive-aggressively reminding them that he's deaf and can't hear the conversation that he's not even a part of.

Weren't they part of the dream?:smallconfused:
They did all that funky stuff with the symbols and the exhibitionism.
So, just about every dream sequence so far.

Yeah, but they fell out before the city.
-
Re: The Legacy of Dominic Deegan II: Don't Be Clothed-Minded!
Reaching the dream city is, if I recall correctly, something that no one has ever done before. Despite this, both Ink Witch and Agumon somehow know that they reached it too early.
