Not having the babies swarming over him ZeetZeet let's out a roar and his muscles bulge as he starts slashing into the swarm wildly, the falchion gleaming in the dark.

Zeetzeet swung his sword, but the miniscule babies, ranging from 2"-6" in size, were flitting and squirming about too quickly. His sword clanged against the stone floor and wall as he swung it around to no avail.
Geiravor passed the Cure Serious Wounds potion to Aurix.
Gorrun gave Umbear a moment to disappear before he followed behind.

"I think ZeetZeet can handle it. Besides we're not here to wipe out the nest, just grab some eggs and run. Think we can try that while ZeetZeet's distracting them," Markas suggested after Jaylyn mentioned the situation. He heard the Goblin struggle, but trusted that it wouldn't be too overwhelming for him. He moved quickly down the tunnel, attempting to leap over ZeetZeet and the swarm to get behind them and keep moving while searching for the eggs they came for...
Spoiler: acrobatics check to jump over ZeetZeet and the chicks (unless interrupted by something he doesn't see yet) Due to High Jump always counts as having a running start:[roll0]
Spoiler: perception check to search for the eggs:[roll1]
(Reminder, Markas can move up to 100' in a single round, so will move either that full distance, or until he runs into the eggs or something else, whatever happens first)
The party proceed beyond Uncle Hildebrand's hollow. They went across a bridge over a pool of water. Umbear stopped at another intersection. The left fork was a tunnel going up an incline. The right fork went into an open chamber.
The mass of baby cockatrices shifted and undulated through the air and along the ground, their screeching coming out as tiny squeaks as they began targeting Jaylyn as well as Zeetzeet. They continued to climb all over the goblin and dove repeatedly at him from the air, biting and biting for [roll0] damage. Thousands of itty-bitty baby cockatrices flew at Jaylyn as she hung from the ceiling, some grabbing onto her with their minuscule claws, biting and biting, while others flew at her and hovered around her, biting and biting for [roll1] damage. (Jaylyn needs to make a DC 22 fort save or be petrified, and must make a concentration check in order to cast spells while she's distracted by the swarm attacking her.)
Spoiler: DroktoktorWhen Markas moved on, Droktoktor was left totally in the dark, no longer able to see anything anymore due to being out of range of both the light from the entrance and the light from Markas' torch.https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...14&oe=59C3BF85
Spoiler: HervirWhen Markas moved on, Hervir was left without the benefit of seeing within the light and an additional distance beyond, to only being able to see to the limits of her darkvision.https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...63&oe=5A054F66
Spoiler: Low-light Vision (Excluding Droktoktor)
The swarm of chick proceeded to start their assault on Jaylyn. She began to feel similar effect to the green cloud at the practice arena. "Crap not again, they're trying to petrify me," she thought.
She quickly fought back against it and began moving 60 feet south down the mine along the ceiling. As she did, she called back to the others. "Careful they maybe chicks but they can still petrify you, move quickly if possible."
Umbear stops as he looks across the Cavern. He speaks in his mind to Aurix
Aurix... Mountain Troll... they are usually not Aggressive. Im gonna ask for directions for expediency.
Umbear steps from the shadows of the corridor, his hands out where they can be seen as he puts the Halbard away.
Spoiler: GiantGreetings friend. Me and my friends are passing through looking for the cavern with Crystals.
Do you know which direction that is so we may pass quickly without much irritation to you?
[roll0] Diplomacy
The Mountain Troll turned to glare at Umbear.
Spoiler: Giant"Oy, whatever, mate. I am tryin to sleep. I can roll over so you can pass under the bridge or go into the waterfall chamber. The waterfall chamber is quicker, but under the bridge is sneakier."
Umbear thinks back to Aurix.
Do we want the quicker path, or the sneakier path?
Aurix thinks to Umbear, "Not all of us are sneaky, ya know. Let me ask."
He broadcasts mentally to the group, "Apparently Umbear asked for directions from a mountain troll, and we can choose to be fast or sneaky. I think fast. Any opposed?"
The catfolk toiches his eidolon and begins to speak.
Spoiler: CatfolkAllow us to be as one.

A troll. That's just great. The centaur glanced back at Aurix, frowning. Quicker we get out of here, the better. My vote is for quicker.
With that, though, he unwound the chain from around his waist and readied himself, in case of trouble.
Aurora frowned and tilted her head. "Um... is there a reason we might want to be sneaky in here? What does the troll know is in here that we don't?" she projected inquiringly.
"Mountain trolls are fey allies," Torilee whispered in Aurix's ear, "but that's all I know about them, and I don't speak their language." Regret. She shrugged.
Kasidra shrugged. "So we should just try to move past them as quickly as possible and avoid harming them?" she asked. The tiefling moved forward through the swarm of chicks and hurried past, proceeding 60' down the tunnel to end up just in front of Markas.
Why would we need to be sneaky? What does this troll know that we don't? Gorrun answered Aurix's telepathic message.
Hervir saw the situation up ahead and had a solution. She drew a circle above her head.
Spoiler: Celestial"Wind, cloak me in protection."
Spoiler: Spellcraft 18Cloak of Winds
Spoiler: OOCCloak of Winds: Duration 20 minutes
You shroud a creature in a whirling screen of strong, howling wind. The subject is never checked or blown away by strong winds of windstorm or lesser strength (whether natural or magically created), and ranged attack rolls against the subject take a –4 penalty. Tiny or smaller creatures must succeed at a Fortitude save to successfully touch or attack the subject in melee. Failure knocks the attacker prone and pushes it 5 feet away from the subject per level of the caster. This movement can pass through the squares of other creatures without affecting them and does not provoke attacks of opportunity, but the creature takes 3d6 points of nonlethal damage, plus 1d6 if the creature strikes a solid object that blocks its movement.
The sorceress moved south 30 feet.
Geiravor considered the intel. "More intel would be nice for consideration." The Princess said.
Aurix sends to Umbear, "Everyone wants you to ask the troll if there's some specific reason we need to be sneaky. Why would he bring that up?"
Umbear nodded as he received the message.
Spoiler: GiantIm sorry to keep you from your sleep, but my companions are very curious as to why you made mention of a sneakier path, would there be a need to be sneaky to get to the Crystals?
The sleepy giant sighed.
Spoiler: Giant"The mountain's Red Reavers are gathered for mating. Very irritating."
Umbears brow lifted up. He thought strongly to Aurix.
Oh... yea... the Mountains Red Reavers are mating right now.... So... I think Ill take the Sneaky way... if Gorrun leads the quick way... get them from two angles.... how does that sound?
Aurix forwards to everyone, "The troll says that it's mating season for the Red Reavers. Let me think for a minute...what do I know about them...?"
Knowledge Arcana: [roll0]
"So it's mating season for a group of strong magical creatures that can fly and eat pretty much anything. Lovely. The sneaky route is apparently for avoiding them."
That did not sound pleasant. Kestejoo twisted his mouth as he debated what was the easiest way to tell them. Deciding the straightforward way was best, he twisted his head around to look straight at Aurix.
I hate to be the barer of bad news... I am not stealthy. Perhaps it would be best if I went the quick route to draw their attention while the rest of you sneak the other way?
"I know not of these creatures. It sounds like a volatile situation indeed. Perhaps a distraction is in ordered." The Princess agreed.
"I can disappear within a city if I need to, but sneaking around just has never been my style. I'm a bit... um... flashy-looking? Just by default?" Aurora projected wryly. "I am however, fast. So I think, despite the risks, I'm better off taking the fast way through and hoping for the best."
ZeetZeet grunts and decides to ignore the chicklets, moving past and further down the cave path. He looks around after moving 50', then takes a look around and his ears twitch, trying to hear something other than the swarm chicks.
[roll0] perception
Not noticing anything else he keeps advancing another 50', stopping if the cave widens into a larger room.
Aurix thinks to everyone, "Yes, I don't stealth very well either! You know what I bet this group IS good at? SPEED. Why don't we take the quick route and Haste on contact? We'll use all available magic for max speed, and somebody can prepare a suitable distraction. Maybe a summoned creature from Kest?"
"Nothing so far!" Markas called back to the others, "I'm going in deeper!" He announced as he continued his search for the fabled cockatrices' eggs...
Moving up to 90' unless something stops him
Spoiler: perception[roll0]
"Pretty good ideas. How about the exit trip? Same plan, same route?" Geiravor wondered as she readied her spear.
