"So, somebody want to clue me in?" Shrike asks, sounding curious.
"Frost Giants from our world are either here or soon to be, looking for the means to spark off the first stages of Ragnarok. I can't directly interfere, because Fate has a way of making sure stuff is... interesting. If they're in, say, Inside, and I start slinging around goddess-level power, that 'interesting' could end up leveling half the city. If we're lucky."
Brianna grins slightly. "Also, since the Aesir are the ones fated to all be killed in Ragnarok, it's only fair that they get to send a representative. I'm involved because I'm the only deity in any pantheon from our home universe to have experience in the Nexus."
"WELL, TEACHING ME READING WOULD PROBABLY TAKE A LONG TIME AND I DON'T THINK YOU'D WANT TO DO THAT." Annabelle responds, shrugging happily.
"BUT FISHING SOUNDS NICE, MAYBE. I CAN FIND YOU LATER IF YOU LIKE."
She tilts her head. What a strange ghoul she is, this Annabelle.

"I know! Magic is so much fun. Dad's a boring old fart for not letting me learn." There's no real malice in what Natalie says about her father; in fact, it's more affectionate than anything. "I think that's enough for now. At least, the magical tricks. I can continue the mundane ones, though, if you want?" Natalie's running low on personal energy, but that'll increase with practice.

Shrike crosses her arms and arches an eyebrow.
"Sounds like you could use some backup," she adds with a smirk.

"Well, in that case, I'll be down by the docks soon," Taurus says with an answering smile.

Jamie giggles. "Better not hear my dad hear you say that. But yeah, I'd love to keep seeing them. And learn them, too. You can never learn too much!"
Main Room
"What, the magic is fun part or the bit about my dad?" Or Natalie could avoid saying all of it. "I'm having some difficulty with the magic tricks now, probably because I'm reaching the limit of my magical reserves, but I could show you how to produce a card from nowhere using mundane methods." The six of diamonds is suddenly in Natalie's left hand as she says the last bit.

But I thought the whole point of hunting dragons was to redistribute the wealth of the dragons to the hunters?
"Oh. So I'm relying on a charity. Well, I suppose that does mean I won't have to pay." Irregularity Brown is, it would seem, a miser in addition to being a weresquirrel.
[Main Room]
"Maybe both." Jamie giggles. And nods. "Alright. I'm ready."
And Jamie prepares herself for the lesson!

((Not at all! The dragonslayers of Katherine's world simply kill the dragons rather then let the dragons kill them. It's like a constant war))
"I do not believe nonprofit means you don't have to pay if you can."

"You can't force me to donate, and therefore I don't have to pay." It doesn't seem to occur to him that if he doesn't donate, they can withhold treatment.
Although maybe Katherine should just punch him.

Natalie will begin to teach Jamie how to pull cards from her sleeves and make it look like they appeared and the reverse, and also other magic tricks. I don't know any so I can't describe how it is taught. But yes, teaching happens.

"You do realize that if you don't donate they could simply refuse to provide treatment, right?"
"Oh, and I'd punch you for being a jerk."
"You don't want to get punched by the girl who took out the mother of all dragons.":smallannoyed:

"Oh, fine. I'll donate some money afterwards." He doesn't say how much money, though. He doesn't know what the 'Mother of all Dragons' is, but he doesn't want to get punched.
Well if a certain character had gone into Trog's and discussed things reasonably, you might well have some! Look, if they'll scrap all the research data they've got, I'll quite happily have a creation come here to regulate and reduce the doses over time, but there's no way I'm letting you or anyone here get their hands on a sample after this.
A thorough brain scan? Really?
You are aware that your life is still on the line here, yes? Not that I find it likely my beetle will be spotted anyway.

"My name is Irregularity Brown, NOT 'squirrel'. Please use it." Irregularity sounds as though he's getting rather upset.
"Hmmm... possibly. Exalted might run into the same problem I'd have...
Then, a patient!
Excuse me, no one else here, so I'll see to this."
Brianna heads over to Irregularity and Katherine. "What's the problem?"
Meanwhile, Susanna looks at Shrike! "...Exalted?"
[Lab]
"Hmm? Oh no. I don't think I have a brain tumor. I'm reasonably sure that's been done already anyways." Butler had a brain tumor. It made sadness.
Reinholdt's grin widens as he's talking to Tobias all the same though.
"Hmmm. Interesting deal. I'll consider it. But from this point on, you're no longer in charge of negotiations here. I am. Tobias is... the one person I trust to catch a detail like you. He's thorough, paranoid, and smart enough to catch on, that's pretty indisputable. Of course, I'm willing to work with you. What you want isn't that unreasonable, as is clearly evident by their reactions. You, sir, however, are quite unreasonable. So, if you want your precious data, you will cease threatening me immediately and get out of my head. THIS. INSTANT."

An onion rolls into the kitchen.... and waits.

Suddenly!
There are three people in Julie's room, including Julie herself, Kate, and Waldorf, the wily not-quite-so-old-anymore archmage who is leaning against the wall with a very smug look on his face. He seems to be negligently checking his pocketwatch.
"As simple as that. I trust you'll look after Julie while I'm gone? I have many things that require my attention now that I am mobile once more."
Julie seems to have been deposited on the bed, still completely asleep for now. Kate is once more in the sewing chair, facing the bed.
Main Cabin: Kitchen
There's a note saying that the Applehills are out for the weekend, due to their player being about to go away for the weekend, but that they've left lots of prepared food in the freezer with instructions for how to reheat it.

Vidalia shifts into human form, and leaves the cabin.
Main Cabin
Oh! Look at that.
"Yes, I'll do my bit to look after her. She's going to need someone to help her here coming up... especially with the kids coming. Good luck on getting back on your feet!"
Kate will wave what is presumably good-bye, and then consider whether to wake Julie right now... nah.
Main Cabin
Rose is currently on the front porch, cloudwatching. Could be interacted with.
Main Cabin
By the time Kate raises her arm to wave, Waldorf is gone. With Julie as her only company, and not very lively company at that until she wakes up, Kate may find herself a bit bored for the next little while.
If she can suffer through it, then after around five minutes of near silent boredom, Julie will begin to toss in her sleep, a fever breaking out on her forehead, and her right arm raising up to grasp at her shirt frantically.
"Nnngh... Eric..."
Main Cabin
"Uh oh." Kate will stand up and place her arm on Julie's shoulder. "Julie? Julie, wake up! Please let this be emerging from a nightmare instead of night terrors. It's hard to wake people all the way from stage four sleep..."
Main Cabin- Shapeshifter
And Jamie learns! Not too much, likely - or at least not enough to actually do much, but she certainly looks very fascinated by the whole thing...

"Chosen of the Unconquered Sun," the redhead replies, matter-of-factly. "I suppose you haven't met any of my kind before, though..."
"Nope. Met and worked with Scions of a dozen different Sun Gods, but no Chosen.
I'm Susanna Fields. Scion of Tyr.""
Main Cabin
Julie's eyes snap open when Kate lays her hands on the succubus, reaching out to grab hold of Kate's wrist with an iron grip. Her pupils are massively dialated, and swiveling around in everywhere until she locks on to Kate's glowing hair and reality rushes back to her. That's right, she's at GLoG now, Eric's not here anymore.
Eric's dead.
A soft sob escapes her, and she tries to pull herself closer to Kate so that she can sob into Kate's shirt.
Main Cabin
Kate lets Julie cry on her shoulder. She pulls Julie close, and hugs her tight. "There there... easy. Go ahead and cry. Cry all you want."
Kate will let Julie cry on her shoulder for as long as she wants. Until she pulls away, until she runs out of tears, until she cries herself asleep... poor girl.
