Well, it started in Mafia 2, I believe.
Excerpt from “The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary 13” by Timothy Tiberius
Chapter 12 – Consequences
…And so the disease, having at first infected only one or two of The Doorway’s patrons, spread to every corner of the facility. With air being recycled everyone came into contact and with immune system’s weakened by 101 years of isolation the results were devastating.
Within two weeks 98.55% (rounded down to 2 dp) of the population had died. Only those born with a natural immunity were left to try and run the facility. 80 people to do the work of at least 1000 that had been done by 5,500+ and they weren’t out of the woods yet.
A week after the ill stopped dying everyone had begun to relax and come to grips with their new situation when the murders started! Always at night.
People would vanish from their homes. Sometimes without trace, sometimes leaving the walls red with blood!
The residents of Sanctuary 13 set watches and guards but to no avail. Occasionally someone caught a glimpse of great hulking creatures running on all fours but no creatures like it could been found by light of day. It seemed hopeless.
One morning, however, a message was discovered. Close to a dead body written with a finger dipped in their own blood…
they are wer e-w o l v e s
…a man had used the last of his strength to leave the clue the Sanctuary needed. It was known that not all the survivors of the disease were completely unaffected. Some had coped as well as you could expect while some had retreated into their minds to find a place of safety (One apparently believed they were a small child in a completely different sanctuary altogether!). It now became clear some had undergone physical changes too.
Now numbering merely 46 they each discussed and accused who they thought could be a threat and decided that anyone called Eldritch Knight HAD to be hiding something…unfortunately the only way to be sure of who he was, now all the geneticists were dead, was to perform a post mortem.
And so Eldritch Knight was the first to die by mob rule. They strung him up outside “The Doorway” and found…
Summary: Eldritch Knight was Lynched. He was a Mason.
Night 1 begins now and ends in about 24 hours.
Please PM all night actions to Qwaz and Lex-kat.
Well...that went well.
Forsooth! I have had another vision of the ending of this game! Day 5, ____ will proclaim that they are a ____! :O
She said Forthooth ! the taletell sign she's either a mad prophet or a time traveller from the past as anyone know. That means we get to burn her as a witch later, right ?
Anyway, that was a pretty unlucky first day linch.
Anyhow, just wanted to say due to urgent family problem I'll be way from home until late Monday. Normaly I'll have a connection and it shouldn't be a problem, but just in case I thought I'd tell.
Day 5 before I can make outrageous claims? I'm not sure I can last that long :smalltongue:
I think that was the fastest I've ever been lynched, and with the fewest number of votes. 4 votes? I was lynched on only 4 votes? I think that's what's making me a little upset. I'd be fine if it had been a clearer majority. Oh well. I must confess that I find it hilarious.
(Clearly, we have found 4 wolves on this day!)

The handy-dandy handless handyllama grumbled and growled at this new development. Werewolves meant shedding, which meant clogged drained and clogged filters in the ventilation system. This was going to a pain. He vowed to get rid of these monsters as soon as possible.
Even the spooky wizard who lives by The Coast, the local night club, was scared of the werewolves and couldn't sleep of all the noises the handy-dandy handless handyllama was making. He locked his door, loaded his gun and hid under his bed. At midnight he finally fell asleep...
Hatred filled him. His friend had just been lynched and he’d been unable to stop it. He knew Eldritch Knight had just suffered from eccentric parents and that his name had no macabre significance…Sure he channelled unholy power too but that was coincidental…and he only did it to get really tough stains out of the knees of his jeans.
How can you hold that against a man? He asked the night in frustration as he leant against a street lamp.
Oh quite easily! Came an unexpected reply from a side alley. We don’t like being hunted.
Who’s there? The distraught man asked peering down the alley. Come into the light where I can see you.
No one came forward. Straining for the slightest sound he jumped when a stone smashed the lamp above him and he was plunged into darkness.
The sound of rending flesh and dislocating joints was suddenly all around him.
Fleeing like the coward he was toward the next street light the man realised his mistake at once. Both shoes were stuck full of the fallen lamp glass and each step drove them futher into his feet.
In agony he hobbled on…he didn’t get half way.
Next morning all the sanctuary found was a pool of blood and a pair of shod feet, gnawed off at the ankle and stuck full of glass.
Summary: Fleeing Coward was Killed. He was a Mason.
Day 2 begins now and ends in about 50 hours.
The wizard was really getting paranoid now.
Two masons killed in such a short time!
He was sure Lemonus had something to do with this...
He decided to never leave the safety of his house ever again.
He used his magic to dig a tunnel to the nearest supermarket and bought enough food for weeks.
Then he tried to contact his master in the far eastern lands to ask for protection, but his orb was jammed by some obscure evil power...
Two Masons? That's hard.

(Wow, two masons already? Yuck.)
Still feeling a bit ill Ramsus wandered into the doctor's office and laid down hoping the doc would eventually see to him. He laid there for several minutes before he remember the doc was dead and anyone left who worked under him was probably busy tending to people in worse shape than he was. He grumbled and wandered back to his room when he rememberedBobby Archerhad a "secret" stash of Med-X in his room. He looked around the, thankfully barren, hallway as he approached Archer's room. As fast as he could he snuck in and stole a handful of Med-X and a few bags of Rad Away, just in case. He injected himself and headed to the row of terminals he was supposed to monitor to make sure the life support systems were all working. Well more like which ones needing fixing in what way today. He said, thinking aloud, "The only way we're going to make it through this is if the reduced strain on the systems makes them stop breaking down so often."
Wow, any chance we could leave a few masons alive to strategise, do you think? :smalltongue:
Still, better than the seer or baner I guess.
*petty back-at-ya point at rakkoon*
Atreyu The Masked Llama because I'm too tired for serious logic.
Fleeing Coward pointed at Rakkoon. Maybe the masons were onto something.
I'm voting for Ramsus instead.
While contacting his master the wizard accidentally received a signal from a nearby source. He heard Lemonus' voice, but the wizard couldn't hear who he was talking to.
But what he heard shocked the wizard deeply. Lemonus was talking about his 'meal' last night!
The wizard instantly disconnected from the World Wide Wizard's Web and fled to his basement where he crawled in fetal position and hid there for the rest of the day.
TigerFang wondered around the now empty streets for a few hours during the morning. Just a few weeks ago these streets where filled with life... Where once you could hear the sounds of day to day life now there was only silence and the slow rumbling of the life support systems pumping freshly recycled air. He thought even that sounded a bit off... Who knows maybe the life support was failing... Ramsus seemed to be slacking lately. Maybe he should consider clearing out those bloody Rakkoons that somehow got inside before they did some permanent damage.

Now I'm off to London, catch up with y'all later...
FC and me have a history. Check every other game I've been in :smalltongue:
We're usually both wolves or trying to get each other lynched. It's a hobby
In this game I'm quite boring actually but at least I'm not a Mason.
Can we at least have a second bandwagon so that we can learn something from this folly? I suggestLemonus, sneaky bastard is always up to something.²
² I don't even know the guy but he isn't me and that's good enough
Hmm...Ramsus.
Ramsusto avoid the autolynch.
Ramsus to avoid lynch :smalltongue:
For lack of having much substantial evidence towards a better candidate, I'll voteRamsusas well because of the auto lynch. If Ramsus shows up in the mean time, I may change my vote.
Perhaps it is the one with the black eyes, perhaps it is the one with the large gun.... At any rate, Rakkoon, I suppose.
Banjo1985, just having a 'wolfy' gut feeling about him, no actual logic though.
I will point to Tigerfang
