Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
"None taken." Special Agent Cobalt replies to Ren, with a grin behind his helmet, knowing full well Ren probably hadn't been including him in that statement. "Good luck. Better you than me. I'm not even 'on the clock' as it were."
((I'll add another vote to the AsteronIronhoof pressure wagon as pressure is a better reason than.... putting pressure on someone or....absolutely nothing on day 2. As for the radiation team, clearly I'm voting for aspi. And his reasoning for Halae amused me so I'll second that too. For the third.... well Internet Flea is like a mutant?))

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
Sprig showed every sign of having slept in his suit. What the other could see of him, behind the visor, revealed a grizzly face with 3 day old stubble and matted hair that broke regulation length. The look of horror when Sprig entered the conference rooms grim scene only emphasized the gaunt features on his face. Sprig shook his head inside the Suit Helmet.
"Don't feel this push on Asteron either. I mean he is crazy but, you know, not completely insane. He is probably the type of crazy that is suitable to go for a long walk and fix the life support systems. Duck999 is another one who seems to exude the same aura!"
Sprig looked around the room. Trying to find a place suitable to rest against that was not splattered with Legatos blood. Then he looked down at his boots and noticed it was already to late. He sighed loudly.
"I don't know who the acting captain is but surely this #@$% should be cleared away?" He said gesturing to the body and blood. "It is not exactly conductive to moral..." Sprig spots a crew member in the corner. "Sange, isn't this your job?"

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
Deathslayer, the reason for this bandwagon is that it was a general consensus that either Phantom or Asteron were wolves. Right now, answers can be had from pressuring Asteron. Whether or not he'll be lynched remains to be seen.

That was not the general concensus. Not at all. There was no general concensus that either one or the other was a traitor. You're making that up, which is suspicious enough in its own right.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
"So, they are still among us!" Tanar Ervinson says when he hears the news of last night's murder. "That or we have a psychopathic killer. I guess you could say those are one and the same." When the failing of the life support system is announced, he says, "I can go. It'll be something to do while we wait for salvation."

As for the life support issue...Hmm. I think the odds are decent of it being some form of power-role granting, but at the same time I don't want to risk it myself, so...Halae, aspi, Rain Dragon as people I'm relatively sure are town.
Why do you think they're town?

Aspi
Why did you vote for aspi over firedaemon?
I'm not sure who to vote for yet. I take more of a look latter.
Tanar aspi halae

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
I'm sorry, I didn't realize that we're being semantic over whether or not an almost straight 50/50 split in the vote was the precise definition of general consensus. Perhaps a better phrasing would be 'There was a lot of people who thought Asteron was a wolf, so he seems worth pressuring since we lynched a townie yesterday.'
@Tanar: My guess they're town is based on my suspicions of Asteron and their day 1 vote for him. It's just a hunch and nothing more.

A day one vote does not indicate that anyone thinks anything.
Either you know that and are trying to convince people to follow, or you don't know that and need someone to point it out to you.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
"All right people, let's think this through." Weston addressed the crowd in between bites of his breakfast burrito. "I know we're all scared of the radiation, but the simple fact is we don't know what kind of damage has been done, and we need someone who knows what they're doing. That's Corporal Dawn.
Now I'm not willing to send someone out on a job I wouldn't do, so I'll go too. That leaves one more. Are there any volunteers?" Weston's eyes catch upon a crewmember already dressed in their survival suit. "Sprig it is. Way to take the initiative, soldier."
His gaze settles on Kevin, seemingly off in his own world. Weston glared. Traitors were one thing, food thieves something else entirely. There would be issues when the team got back.
(Deathslayer7, Internet Flea and Sprig for the away team. AsteronIronhoof for the same reason as yesterday.))

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
Yeah, interesting that people want to lynch me... it was not my fault that people decided to lynch Phantom instead of me. And when I voted to "push" the lynch on Phantom, it was to save my own skin as most people would do.
As for my vote, I'll go with firedaemon33 because she was very aggressive about being in the lead when she only had two votes and there is a 25% minimum for lynching.(Maybe she was too busy talking with the traitors instead of reading the rules...)
-
Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
I think Duck999 is pretty capable. I need to be more useful. Not sure who else to vote for.
And right now, I don't see who to vote fo lynch either, and I'm about to go to bed. I'll vote in the mornig.
-
Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
Mmhmm. Well, do you have any better leads that aren't me? Especially Asteron's answer to pressure seems to be ''Ey, not my fault people lynched Phantom! Now let's lynch the person leading a lynch on me!'
-
Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
As it should be. I still don't understand where this Asteron wagon came from. The reasoning behind it is flawed. It was a day 1 random lynch. No info nothing. All I tried to do was get a lynch going. It happened to be between Asteron and ThePhantom.
And my reason for Aspi is because he cemented the wagon. A first point at Asteron doesn't mean much, but he blindly followed and pointed at him as well.

That's both a perfectly reasonable thought process and defense.
And this is exactly the risk of leading the charge against someone. If you put yourself out there for someone, don't be surprised when they put themselves out there and direct it back at you.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
I hope there isn't a neutral out there whose goal is to kill me but I might as well put this out there now since I expect everyone is going to automatically assume I'm lying if I do this when I actually have pressure on me.
I'm a neutral. My only win con is to survive until the end of the game. I plan to vote offwagon every day and I have a 50% chance of surviving any lynch or kill attempt on me so noone benefits from trying to get rid of me unless they want to potentially waste multiple lynches or night kills depending on how the dice rolls.
Scry me, void me, track me or whatever else you want to do, just please don't try to lynch or kill me. For all intents and purposes, you can just pretend I'm not in the game really since all I care about is surviving until the end and don't intend to help out either side.
Now that I've got that out of the way, Shadow :smalltongue:

Followed by a claim that you're neutral and then an attempt to kill me.
Should I assume that you have a secondary condition/part about your role that you conveniently 'forgot' to mention?
Fleeing Coward because I hate role claims, and I especially hate them when they come out of the blue for no reason.
Shadow, Fleeing Coward, Internet Flea for being the last three people to post.

Attempt to kill you? I said I'm going to be voting off wagon every day, if any bandwagon develops on whoever I'm voting for, I'll change my vote.
As for out of the blue for no reason, I have a reason. My best chance to survive from my point of view is to reveal my role early to discourage people from trying to lynch/kill me. I'm not going to put my faith in a coin toss every time people try to kill or lynch me if I don't need to.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
I vaguely feel as if FC has made a similar claim in a lot of games "recently". Of course the problem there is that none of them are really recent and thus my memory could just be playing tricks on me. My gut instinct is to just....completely ignore he made the claim and proceed as normal.
@Shadow: I believe you aren't allowed to vote for someone to be lynched and sent on the mission. Which makes sense, how is a corpse to be expected to repair anything? On second thought, please don't answer that.

I bet ThePhantom could have answered that. :smallfrown:

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
I don't think the fact that two bandwagons formed on day one necessarily mean that one or the other were definitely wolves... If anything, I methinks the Firedaemon doth protest too much... As does the Internet Flea.
"Breakfast is coming!" shouts Chef Cookiebatch. "Oh, joy. Eggs, bacon, sausage and Spam. My favorite. I hope people don't start yelling at me for not having enough Spam."

That would be Cat Fight II where I also claimed I'd scry as the opposite of whatever the scrier's alignment was to mess with people's mind. I'm making no such claims here.
Town has an alignment scrier in this game, they're welcome to scry me anytime they want if they have doubts with my claim to been a neutral.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
"I'll go. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight if I don't see that the life support system is repaired for myself," Tabby says, rubbing at her drawn eyes. She got maybe two hours of sleep last night, and then that damn murder happened. It's clear that the traitors are still up and about, and because of that she's having trouble dealing. Some may of course realize she's overworking herself to become exhausted enough to sleep.
OOC: I'll vote for Myself (Halae) and Aspi, since he volunteered for the repair mission, because why the hell not :smalltongue:
For a lynch, I think... I'll go with Firedaemon33. Tabby is still pent up about the bigotry, but not so much that she'll say anything more to the navigator's face.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
Doctor Grey sprays a chemical solvent onto the bloodstained table and wipes a section of it clean before he starts to sort through a pile of computer chips.
"Under normal circumstances I'd say we send a maintenance drone to fix the life support systems, but near as I can tell, they're all fried. Of course, the systems that monitor them are also fried, so for all we know a couple of drones have already responded to the problem and are fixing it as we speak."
He sweeps half the broken chips into a bag and throws them into a bin in the corner of the room.
"I volunteer to check it out, my insurance covers mutation from radiation exposure."
OOC: Halae, Internet Flea and Myself (Elemental). As for a vote as to who to lynch, that is harder. I've got no IC reason to do so and while Fleeing Coward's role claim is a surprise, I'm not that curious as to ascertain whether he's telling the truth or not.

Halae, Aspi, Duck999))

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
The Asteron wagon feels like too much too fast. I will go with firedaemon33 as the closest to a real alternative we have right now.
And for the event: Aventine, Tanar, Duck999

You can vote for three people to go and for a lynch vote. Voting for "volunteers" to go fix the life support is optional and you don't need a 25% majority.
Lynching rules remain the same.

What does this mean? Those that go - their votes don't count towards the lynch? or if they are the lynch candidate, they will not be lynched? If the latter, who gets lynched next highest votes or no lynch.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night One
I'm fairly certain it might mean both their votes don't count and they can't be lynched. Apologies for my absence as this game got away from me during the first Day/Night Cycle and I've only just got off work. Placeholder vote for Haruki-kun until I look over things and get some sleep. Possible RP to come later.
