Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
James; Outfit like Mister Araneae, maybe rank pins across a pocket, tie looks more like a normal necktie, dark blue instead of dark grey, definitely get a different hat or just lose it entirely, possibly slightly new hair style.
Maria; can't think of a whole lot that's plausible, but lighter coloured or darker coloured clothing could work. Instead of the current greys, go with light greys and tan or black with some highlights possibly, like a couple light coloured stripes or bandannas, maybe a light brown/tan shirt or possibly light blue.
If I have more thoughts later, I'll post them.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
A little text heavy, but alright.
There's something definitely wrong with the table+chair in the last panel though.
-
Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
It's a good thing you made the panels bigger, otherwise you'd never be able to fit that much text in. :P

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Wait---- I though Maria's uncle was still alive. (From the character list at the beggining, It says hes currently on government pension). Is the List reffering to a time when he was alive, or is it because he is still alive, and Maria doesn't know it?
I like the "DMW" tattoo, which I assume means "Dead man Walking". It says the death wishers consider themselves dead, so maybe the directorate simply tells the family that they are.
EDIT: Oh, she says every way that matters--- I get it.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
You may have noticed a lack of comic from me this week. It turns out that end-of-semester stuff and a sudden onslaught of stifling heat is antithetical to my creative process. I'll try to get a Comic out for you by Thurs.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
I keep my promises. Except when I don't, but this time I did.
Current Comic:Dripping with Metaphor
Edit: And I did it without making each panel 90% text too!

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
nice job, I love the narrative style. Its also very interesting to see that Claude is missing an eye, It makes him look very human and "defeated". It also leaves me wondering which rebellion he was a part of and what role he had in it. Its also very funny that Maria can't go to sleep, but James can't stay awake. I also until now have felt that the rebellion has been slightly favored over the loyalists, but while the Mr. Aranea (whose name reminds me of a spider, I think that was intentional) passage leaves you with the impression he may not be a good guy, particuarly with his soldier smoking in front of a no smoking sign. its maria's passage that tells you the rebellion may not be all good.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
There will (Probably) be no comics this week on account of Finals. Sorry.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Fun story everybody
Deciding to waste some time I don't have, I opened up Rebellion|Revolution's inkscape file, only to find that Inkscape hates it now. It slaps me with a "Cannot retrieve this file" message and won't open.
Now I have a working backup, but it's from waaay back, as in, comic 12. So all the new character designs I've done since then, including Claude, are gone, along with lots of other stuff.
To be perfectly honest, I don't have time to rebuild it all right now, what with Finals and everything, but yeah...

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
I think I could fix it. How big is the file?

13.9MB, but it turns out I can compress it to 2.26mb

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Hip Hip hooray for Memmnarch! He has fixed the files.
Everybody who reads this owes him a cookie.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Okay, so it turns out that Memnarch didn't get everything back. He got alot of useful stuff back, and for that he is awesome, but I still lost most of the re-designs. Which is okay, because I wanted to tweak them some more anyway.
James, Marcus, Maria, and the Division 8 Goons.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Thank you Szilard. :smallcool:
Rescuing files like that tend to be more save what you can and hope you get most of it, than actually retrieving everything. :smallwink:
I do hope you start using multiple files for the comic; then you won't lose things as easily.

Well what you got me was alot more than what I would have gotten without your help. So thank you.
Also, chapter 3 WILL Start tomorrow, (Which is kind of Today) I don't have a name for it yet, but I'm officially out of excuses for not doing it, and you guys have waited long enough.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Comic Promised, and Delivered!
Divide by 8
So yeah, you help save my files, you get a gun named after you.
I should update the character's spoiler with my new designs.
Also, this is the week after school, but before I start working, so I should get some banners done.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Current Comic:Toasty
Note: This entire chapter is going to be Romantic Comedy
I recreated an earlier scene intentionally here. I just redesigned both my main characters, and one of the biggest mistakes I made with Rob and Jack was making the comic such that somebody reading through the archives would be unable to follow it without reading the thread itself. I'm trying to avoid doing that again, so hopefully people will see James and Maria here in the same situation they first appeared in, and realize I just updated the artwork, that these are what the characters look like now.
Edit: The above statement was a joke. The Chapter will include very little, if any, romantic comedy.

Good start for the next chapter too.

Re: Rebellion|Revolution: A Webcomic
Employment, while nice, does not do wonders for my creative process. Also, I lost Claude in the great File Scramble, and so I need to spend some time rebuilding him. Also, I worked from 9:30 to 7 today. The point is, no comic today.
Fortunetally, Wednesday and Thursday are both days off, so I can get a comic for you by Thurs.
