As statted, Michael is basically Cell. He can grow a new body before most people can catch their breath. When he was first made we joked about him escaping from Mann's handcuffs by holding his head out the window and hoping it got caught on something; by the time Mann could stop the car Miochael'd have a new body and be running the opposite direction buck naked.

There's a few ways I can think of off the top of my head:
Spoiler: Don't Read These Players, Plot Your Own Murders.
Show
They could go the Brick route and bury him alive if they can hold him down long enough.
They could keep him drugged, since it's been shown that Michael's power gives him no more resistance to sedatives than anyone else.
The before-mentioned vaporization would do it, though they wouldn't even need a nuclear blast to accomplish it; Luvless's staff has been shown capable of killing the Droplets who as statted are outright immune to damage. Also, if Michael is thoroughly cremated he can't come back, the same applies to the killer.
Maybe they don't and any future campaigns isn't about the crazy world influenced by McCrow/Fanboy's version of the Justice League, but about life under Overlord Warren Davis. :smalltongue:
Also, I guess I should mention that the killer doesn't get all of their abilities; just the big ones. So when he stole McCrow's powers he got hydromancy (the various water blasts/manipulation, as well as McCrow's dehydration ability) but he didn't get the water healing (which doesn't really matter now), the Droplets, the Battle Form, the ability to instinctively sense water or any of the other crazy abilities that I'm sure McCrow will add to himself later.
So while he stole Michael's regeneration, he didn't steal Michael's insane regeneration so he doesn't recover from death as a free action or anything that ridiculous; if he gets put down they'll have a little breathing room to think of something.

In before someone says "fighting something immune to mind-rape," because the obvious solution there is to mind-rape as many people as possible into shooting it for you.

True, but I'm working under the assumption that his brain still needs oxygen to work. He'll have a couple of rounds of fight left in him after they bury him; but if he doesn't dig himself out in the first few minutes, he's not going to. Michael's power might keep bringing him back to life, but it's just so he can immediately suffocate again.

Re: "Let's get this straight. YOU'RE the sidekick!" A Mutants & Masterminds Camp. Jou
I will say this much, and I've been thinking this since the fight. Fanboy could literally drag him outside the atmosphere given the proper opportunity. Because while I think it would be safe to say he got my force field ability, life support and immunity to telekinesis are second tier abilities tied into it. Basically I'm thinking pull a superman and banish him to some nearby planet and let him repeatedly suffocate to death for all eternity :D

That or I'm about to do some hardcore investing in that mind switch ability I've been itching to use so bad.

I will transcend the need for a corporeal form before I allow that. Think mr manhattan meets xavier.

First off: It's Dr. Manhattan, he didn't get a Ph.D so people would call him Mr. :smalltongue:
Secondly: Game on. :smallcool: The senseless and destructive escalation has begun! (Well, we all knew it was always going to happen; now it's just official.)

Hell, I'm thinking a little fusion dance with michael is in order. Wilson gets to be buu.

It probably depends on the specific biological mechanism of the regeneration and how many catgirls you want to kill.

Please don't kill any catgirls!

You know what'd be hillarious - If Fanboy's powers were tied to his physical brain, and whoever he switched with got his entire power suite.

Heh, I'll try to avoid trying too hard to work out the 'why/how' since anything that we work out will be equally ridiculous, 'Because, magic/radiation/chemical x!' is good enough for me. Since I tend towards crapsack settings I'm likely to just rule that the worse interpretation is the applicable one. So an eternity of endless death is probably in Wilson/Davis's future.

McCrow's player actually suggested that last night. Since Mustafu's end goal is to become a body hopping immortal though I've already told him that he can implant his powers along with his consciousness. Of course in the name of balance; if he tries to break the game by stealing powers that he can't pay for he's likely to find that stealing a superhuman's body will bring other, unpleasant repercussions.

Let me guess, Cancer? Human combustion? Horrific Body Degrading? The 2 sets of powers cancel each other out? The 2 sets of powers "fight" among themselves leading for one or the other dieing, kind of like the immune system fighting off intruders? Becoming a twisted monster?
So many different options!
-
Re: "Let's get this straight. YOU'RE the sidekick!" A Mutants & Masterminds Camp. Jou
And I don't want to steal powers. Just borrow them... sheesh.

That's not even getting into the dreaded dia beetus. Which as everybody knows, is the number 1 cause of death among superhumans. :smalltongue:

It always starts as borrowing, then the next thing you know you've got a stable of superhumans that you take out for test drives during the dangerous missions. I know how you work. :smallcool:

Yeah, it lacks the flair of having to pass a DC14 Fortitude save every time you eat sugar. :smalltongue:

McCrow should have to pass a will save every time he passes a... woman of ill repute thanks to his littke encounter with the escort lady earlier on.

Thank you so much for posting this here. This is the best campaign journal I've read since Silver Claw Shift's. I started reading it two days a go and was super bummed when I got to the end.
What great character personalities. Such good twists! The character portraits from hero machine only helped draw me into the story more.
You guys gotta get together soon for another session.

Now that's high praise  Silver Claw Shift's stuff was what made me want to put together a journal in the first place.

Thanks. We've had a lot of fun playing and it's always nice to hear that people like where our story's going.

What is the fort save vs gonorrhea?

Re: "Let's get this straight. YOU'RE the sidekick!" A Mutants & Masterminds Camp. Jou
One higher than he can possibly make.
It's bad form to make the DM describe...encounters...of that sort, barring a few special circumstances.

next time he gets more points he needs to invest in super-genitals.
EDIT: Wait!!! I just realized sex with a hydromancer would be... different...

Yeah, we had that discussion when McCrow decided to have an 'adventure' in the whorehouse. I told him that I didn't even want to know what he did, I was just going to assume it involved a donkey at some point. He told me that I was thinking too small.:smalltongue:
I did eventually let him make a constitution check though because he was sick of watching Fanboy progress the plot by himself and wanted to roll the dice for something without being too helpful. He rolled a natural 1 (I wouldn't let him use a hero point for this because it was a ridiculous waste of resources that he might actually need later.) underperformed (I think the joke was that he didn't even get it out of his pants before finishing. He just kept screaming that "It's been a while!"); got a giggle from his whore (the whole table was laughing at McCrow, his player included) and broke her jaw in retaliation.
If it hadn't been for him requesting that roll, I'm sure McCrow sucker punching every woman they came across wouldn't have become a running joke.

I'm sure he'd argue that he doesn't need points for that.
