Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 3)
Watching the proceedings, Pwenet chuckles sadly.
"Now will people listen to me? I tried to warn them, to steer them away from the false prophet! And now, two people dead, two innocents who only wanted to be happy with each other, dead by our hands!"
"Their deaths shall not be in vain, oh no, for tonight we shall eat hearty and sleep deeply, for in the morning it will be Dragon-Hunting Time."
-
Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 3)
I fail to see the risk to DLD, she si just the fool. The seer is now validated and unless DLD is a rebel posing as the fool to get two peasants killed, well it seems a big risk for relatively low return. So all we need to do now is ignore everything DLD says.
-
Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 3)
((Odd, Curly, as the PM I had indicated it had also been sent to you. Weird glitch would be my guess))
"Fools, the lot of them. Oh well.. Immortality as a ghost can't be all bad.... Wait... doesn't that mean I have to put up with your cooking for eternity??? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
((:smalltongue: ))

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 3)
*DLD nods her head toward Fin*
It seems I am indeed to the gossip I have claimed to be, but I am happy to have assisted in validating the words of the real gossip, whoever they may be. However, I'm none too happy with your suggestion of ignoring everything I say. Feel free to not regard my information as highly, however.
((Drunkard still has a chance of getting stuff right. Just a low one))

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Night 3)
((sorry for the late day ending))
Dawn breaks cold over the empty streets, a discarded bit of parchment ruffles languidly across the cobbled earth. Not a soul is seen. The clock in the tower seems to hold its breath and the rats that normally are scurrying about remain tucked in their holes.
Hours pass. The sun is higher in the sky, but still refusing to share its warmth with the world. The streets remain barren. Faint movements at the windows of stores and homes give the only sign that life teems within the village. Murmured whispers audible to only those within the homes, indicate that the populace is nervous and scared, worried to venture out and see who's become the next victim of the rebels cruel politics.
Morning passes to noon, and finally, people trickle outside. One by one the crowd coalesces in the square. They wait.....and when it appears everyone is arrived, they count. And count again. And then once more. Upon this third and final check, it is confirmed that everyone is alive. There is a collective sigh of relief and the crowd disperses to allow their day to finally begin.
Day begins. Will end in approximately 48 hours.

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Crawling out of his home, Pwenet breaths in the fresh air and smiles.
"Life! How it is strange how we never take the time to take a breath of the morning air, to enjoy the sight of a sunrise. And a day not spilled by blood. Even better."
"But alas, vengence must be paid out, and the one that killed innocent love must be brought to punishment. He may be a simple drunk, or he could be a agent of chaos and death disguised as a drunk and a fool."
"In order for us to be safe the DarkLightDragon must fall from the sky to it's demise."

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Isn't it more likely that DLD is indeed the drunk, and was pointing out of error at CurlyKitGirl? I find it unlikely that a member of the rebellion would out themselves so easily. I randomly point at Freshmeat, just to get the ball rolling.
And before anyone asks... NEMESIS!
-
Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
I also think it unlikely that DLD is a rebel. I don't think we should lynch her just because she is the drunkard/fool. I think we were correct in lynching one of those she pointed at because she may have ended up being correct. In this case I think it is more to our advantage to leave her alive (drunk and unreliable as she might be) and have the real gossip scry her to confirm.
evnafets points at Pwenet

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
((I can still get autolynched after being murdered? I was under the impression I couldn't point anymore, what with being dead and all.))

((Erm...that's right....You shouldn't be there. Sorry. *tsks at Zeb*))

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Hmmm, Pwenet seems suspiciously vocal to me. That, and it seems to me that DLD has nothing to gain or lose by admitting to being the drunkard, and you seem to be the only one really against her, which makes you someone to watch.

Mustiado.
NEMESIS!! :smallamused:
Due to the completely random bandwagon that's shaping up against me, guess I'll have to go with Pwenet then.

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Seeing that he is now the target for lynching by those too short-sighed to see the future and past, Pwenet shakes his head sadly.
"You all are foolish fools, to trust the words of one that has caused the death of true love! With my death I shall spit upon you and laugh at your foolishness, unless I become an undead. That would be interesting, if not a bit anti-climatic."
Pwenet ponders the merits of undeath for a while and wanders off muttering crazy thoughts and words.

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Walking about the town, the old man comes toward a crowd slowly gathering around Pwenet.
"So much commotion lately. I wonder what's going on..."

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
The sushi salesman approaches Freshmeat holding some not so fresh Mystery Meat Sushi.
Care for some sushi good sir? Two for the price of one for today only.
((Getting bored with single bandwagon days))

"Damn sushi sellers, get out of way of decent people."

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Since when is being drunk a offense, Pwenet?
-
Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
*Another sunrise another day. - Ranna has decided to keep the shop shut today and spend some time for herself, go see some of the other shop owners and buy some nick nacks. She is happily wandering around the market when she spots some of the market stall owners*
Good Morning guys how is everything going? Its all going slightly crazy around here already! It doesn't help with people like that Pwenet and Darklightdragon going and confusing things, together they make my head hurt. Though DarklightDragon in her drunken state thought she was helping out her points have gotten us nowhere, except to illicit some odd behaviour from this Pwenet guy!
*Ranna looks sadly at the town square and shakes her head*
-
Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
Yes, I do feel Pwenet is being a wee bit vocal...
Do we trust his claim and save him anyway? Or will that protect him from us for the time being?
-
Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
If and when this story's told, of men and women with hearts so bold, they'll talk of Pwenet and the fate he met, and whether he deserved to pay this debt. Perhaps he's guilty, perhaps not, but act too suspicious and that's your lot.
The Idiot is sitting atop one of the haycarts standing in the square, talking to himself as he watches the public argue and discuss who to kill, particularly Freshmeat and the sushi salesman.
((Also... When did I not vote? :smallconfused: ))

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
The Penguin emerges from his igloo - wearing a hat with a "Press" card on it and carrying a notebook and a camera. He wanders into the street jotting down some notes, when he spies Pwenet.

Perhaps that snapshot will be of some use...

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Day 4)
We must kill the dragon because dragons are b-a-a-a-a-d, mmmkay? See what it made us do? We killed not one, but two innocents based on her debauchery laden misinformation!*
But we like the drink, good Pwenet, and we cannot abide by anyone who doesn't want us to like our drink. We tried prohibition once. Remember what happened? We LYNCHED everyone who tried to stop us from our sweet escapist endeavors. Like YOU! Get him, boys!
Then from up the street...
Ah jeezum crow! You guys are gonna steal our thunder AGAIN! Not this time, chumps. Hurry boys, string 'im up and drop 'im. NOW!
A clatter and clank are heard as the citizens all scramble to get the job done beforehand. Ominous leaps to the gallows and cries out "People! PEOPLE! We have to do this in an orderly manner or people will get hurt! I mean, people who aren't supposed to get hurt will get hurt." This only energizes the crowd and they crush forward. A young noble by the name of topher gets swept up in the frenzy and is trampled by the crowd. Ominous is over run and falls to the trap door right as the lever is pulled. He falls at an odd angle and can't move before Pwenet falls on top of him (the noose was apparently tied incorrectly and did not hold). They both suffer from broken necks, but no one notices until it's too late.
*This flavor text in no way is intended to be a declaration of anyone's role, real or imagined. It is just flavor text.
Summary:
Pwenet was lynched by the Peasants and chosen for execution by the Nobles. He was a Noble and was Loyal.
topher was autolynched. He was Noble and was Loyal.
Ominous was autolynched. He was the Sheriff and was Loyal.
Night 4 begins and will end in approximately 24 hours. Send all night actions to both me and Alarra. Especially since I'm closing on my house tomorrow and she may very well end up doing the update.

Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Night 4)
The ghost of Pwenet rises from his corpse and looks over the assembled fools.
Fools you all be. Not a single Rebel slain and you have killed your own sheriff to boot! I am glad I shall not be around to witness your inept attempts at maintaining order. I warned thee!"
Chuckling to himself, Pwenet crosses over to the realm where he can smoke cigars wrapped in poorly worded legal documents and drink single-malt drinks.
