That's where you'd be wrong, my dear. The scientific method is actually quite simple: forming some sort of hypothesis from an experience and deducing a prediction based on it, then testing the prediction.
See, it started with the whole "attacking people through walls" thing from a couple maps ago. Obviously, I was able to locate and hit someone, and I started considering the various logical ramifications that came with it. I thought to get to the bottom of this, so I nicked a few of those magic swords from King whatsit's armory (Don't worry, I put them back) to test a few theories I had.
And I discovered that you can, in fact, use a ranged weapon to see through a wall, simply by convincing it that you're going to use it to attack.
