I disagree but I reckon anyone is better than Picard.
Here's who each different Captain goes to for advice.
Kirk = Spock, Bones
Sisko = Nobody!
Janeway = Chakotay, Tuvok
Picard = EVERYONE ON THE FRICKING BRIDGE! Including an adolescant boy and a Counsellor. As well as Guinan or whatever guest characters happens to be in relation to his cluttered backstory.

Dude!
When Picard got assimilated he had a little cry in the vineyards.
When Janeway got assimilated, she PWNED the Borg queen!

I will submit that Kirk is better, as his song is cooler (if less original) and William Shatner plays Denny Crane on Boston Legal currently, but no other captain even has a song! How can you lead credibly if you haven't got a song?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
I rank my captain like so!
1. Kirk (no explanation necessary)
2. Sisko
3. Janeway
4. Kirk II
5. Archer
6. Picard (indecisive whiner)
I rank my shows like so!
1. TNG (they focused all the crap on the first two seasons so the rest would ROCK!)
2. TOS
3. VOY
4. TAS
5. DS9
6. ENT (has all the stupid of Voyager but without the entertainment)
I rank my movies like so!
1. Wrath of Khan (a masterpiece!!)
2. First Contact
3. The Voyage Home
4. Star Trek
5. The Undiscovered Country
6. The Search for Spock
7. The Final Frontier
8. Generations
9. Insurrection
10. Nemesis
11. The Motion Picture (boring!!)
And me top 5 episodes!
1. City on the Edge of Forever (TOS) (my little sister cried)
2. Scientific Method (VOY)
3. The Best of Both Worlds (TNG)
4. In the Pale Moonlight (DS9)
5. The Inner Light (TNG)
And me bottom 5 (excluding Enterprise because it's too easy)
1. Threshold (VOY) (salamanders!)
2. Spock's Brain (TOS) ("Brain and brain what is brain!?")
3. Encounter at Farpoint (TNG)
4. Justice (TNG)
5. The Outrageous Okona (TNG)

I didn't figure out who Q was, I figured out who he wasn't. I don't know anything about the real Q (except his age). It's impossible to track him down.
And my false age of 10 (which was initially only a mistake in my Profile), turned out to be just a social experiment to see how people would act when faced with someone young who acted more thoughtfully than most of his age. The result would probably have been the same if I didn't make that typo, anyway.

GAHHHHHH!!! I had to re-boot my computer and hoped that I could retrieve all my files after, but 90% of them were infected with the virus meaning I can't get them back, this includes all of my freaking templates. :smallfurious:

So all your Fireworks templates are gone?
That means now's the perfect time to switch to Inkscape! You'd have to re-do it all anyway, why not swap to a dedicated vector graphics editor while you do so? :smalltongue:

Becuase if I wanted to do that, I would just get Illustrator, a program I should leanr how to use anyway.
@Kev: I thought I saved them all on a spare CD, but I forgot to format it. :smallannoyed:

Also, you're comparing a middle episode to an end episode. Not really all that fair.
Also also, A captain should act like a captain you want to lead you (Picard), instead of a cowboy (Kirk). Guess which season I like the best. :P

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Also, if you notice that, rather than risk himself and most of his high-ranking command staff every time they needed an away team, Picard stays onboard his ship, doing his job as a commander, rather than allow one stray phaser bolt to decapitate him, and therefore the ship's command structure.

No, because he sounds british. And because he claims to be from "South Australia", which everybody knows doesn't exist.

Danish wikipedia says it has existed since 1836 and so does the English one. I'd say that's proof enough.

That's why I checked the Danish one, it's so small a country that nobody would think of changing our Wikipedia :smalltongue:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Ever wonder why it's so small? It's so nobody will go there. It's also in the middle of nowhere. Kinda like an Area 51 for the British.
Want to know what they do there! I know! I've found a top-secret website that I found with google. They test on platypi! Yeah! They cut off the poison ducts on the back of their feet, and load them into guns. They cut off their bills and use them as currency! Worst of all, they drink tea every morning because they're British! :smalleek:
