So, by the immutable rules of irony, it will now arrive at your place *last*... :smallwink:

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Yeah, probably :smalltongue:
Usually it would be 1-2 days shipped Priority, we'll see how it goes. (It probably isn't even at the post office yet, the e-mail said it would be shipped today and it's not even noon yet.)

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Got my confirmation today as well. Wonder how long to get to the UK?
Glad I read here and realised I hadn't been forgotten. If i were to tear my hair out, I would not be able to see the floor!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Got my confirmation mail for the physical stuff of my 'Stick it to you' package as well.
But I still have to wait for my portrait... :smallfrown:

Everybody check out the latest news post on the sidebar for a brand new free wallpaper!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I was coming here to post that.
Yeah, new update with wallpaper included. Also, I have a pile of Stick It's that I have to format and send out today.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Giant: Just curious, but do you plan on telling a story with the 10 wallpapers? Eg, will the next strip be the OotS fighting those goblins?

Sorry! I guess I was a bit too eager. I just knew that there have been numerous occasions where I didn't notice a new news post until well after the fact.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Lovely first piece, it really sets the bar high! It will be interesting to see where the next one goes, in the same vein or more stylistic(?)?
Now where to use this one, hm...
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
The wallpaper really is absolutely gorgeous, and puts the potential of the OotS art style on full display. Don't those lizardfolk just give you the willies!

The other wallpapers do not all follow the same style, no. Some are more pattern/abstract takes, for example.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
While I love that OoTS art style, the back drop and sheer detail on the wallpaper is absolutely incredible. Definitely going to be my new desktop. <3

My brain is mathematically impaired; what resolution is closest to 1366 x 768?
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Cool wallpaper. I actually replaced my previous one with that.
That's saying something since I've had the previous one for over 4 years.

1366 x 768 is a 16:9 aspect ratio, so I'd go with one of those. You probably want the 1920 x 1080 wallpaper (or maybe just the largest resolution available), as you'll get nicer results with a compressed image than an enlarged image. Alternatively, you could display the 1280 x 720 wallpaper at its native resolution and you'll get a nice thin black border around the wallpaper with no compression or enlargement artifacts.
That being said, the nicest results would come from an appropriately-sized export from the master art file. Vector art is wonderful that way.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Great wallpaper. Although I'm getting this odd pokemon-ish "Don't step on the grass, or wild creatures will get you" vibe. =P

Went with the 2560 x 1440, thanks for the help. Also, this wallpaper looks awesome.

The Order of the Stick vs Small Goblins?
BLASPHEMY!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Great wallpaper, and I'm really looking forward to seeing other people's Stick It portraits (assuming they use them for their avater, of course).

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Awesome Thing is Awesome. :smallcool:
The sheer level of detail is something to behold. If the other ones are even close to the quality of this, it makes the KS drive worth it just for this alone.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
This new development is upsetting, as I'm now realizing that all of them will probably be equally awesome.
I guess I'll have to have one of those rotating desktops that goes through all ten. :P

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
That poor guy who seems to have been the victim of an Imprisonment spell is definitely the creepiest thing. Although he's a bit close to the surface for that, so maybe it's a more mundane buried alive thing.... :smalleek:

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
How do you turn the picture into wall paper on an Ipod Touch? I can't make mine do it.

Could be a lich (or some other undead) waking up to attack. He's got his magical mojo going on and all.

I did not notice the magical glow around his hands before. You're probably right, then. Still seems a rather modest place for such a being to entomb itself, but I guess there's no accounting for taste.
