What about warp touch?
Re: A 767The Warp Touch disease has several different effects that impact Intelligence. Ability damage (temporary) and ability drain (permanent) are handled normally. As for "deformity bonus", you'll need to ask your DM. Book of Vile Darkness is a 3.0 book, and without an official 3.5 update it's up to each individual DM what "minor adjustments" (see Dungeon Master's Guide on page 4) are needed to use that material in a 3.5 D&D game. "Deformity bonus" does not, as far as I know, exist in any 3.5 books, so that would be a ripe spot for a "minor adjustment". (Or they could simply decide that Warp Touch doesn't exist, and make the adjustment even easier.)
Q770
Regarding cover, suppose you are a dread necromancer, and you've hired a few skeletons to hold tower shields to provide cover...
Assuming you're on a flat area, and monster's line-of-sight passes through skeletons who are actively using tower shields for cover, does this grant YOU cover? Or can they target over the skeleton's heads to hit you?
Alternatively, are the skeletons also providing the MONSTERS with cover from you? Or would a tower-shield line only hold back lines of melee attackers? and on-foot-pursuers?
A 770
Tower shields may be used by the holder to create total cover. Total cover from a tower shield blocks line of effect, but there's no indication that it also blocks line of sight; you need total concealment for that. In any case, there's nothing in the rules which states that a tower shield offers cover for anyone else than the holder, especially as that cover is conditional: i.e., only exists when the holder gives up their attacks. Tower shields deployed for cover do not "hold back" lines of melee attackers; those attackers are free to squeeze through the shield holders' spaces, as long as they do not end their movement in any occupied squares. While those attackers could not immediately attack the tower shield holders, the attackers are free to make Sunder attacks against those shields, and those attacks are unopposed because a tower shield cannot also be used as a weapon. As soon as the tower shields are sundered, their previous holders lose their cover.
Q 771: Does the Positive Energy Aura of a Vivacious creature stack for someone if they standing within two or more Positive Energy Auras?
My thread failed.
Q772
Can a swordsage purchase a stance with one of its maneuvers known? Or is it limited to the number of stances indicated on the table denoting the swordsage class features?
A722
You can't trade maneuvers known for stances known.
For more Stances, there's a feat that allows 1 more stance (called Martial something, not hard to find)
Q 773
Monks are known for attacking with any part of their bodies ( unarmed strike ). Longtooth shifters can take a feat that allows their bite attack to deal con damage. Can Longtooth shifter monks do the bite attack normally and do more bite attacks ( for unarmed strike damage ) as their unarmed attacks and inflict more con damage in a round?
A773: No. Unarmed strikes do a different amount of damage with a different damage type than bite attacks. Further, while an unarmed strike is (more or less) a natural weapon, it's not the same as any other natural weapon, so it's not folded in. Therefore, you could add one bite attack to your full attack routine (not to your flurry of blows, because of the wording), but since it's secondary it would take a -5 attack penalty.
A752
(a) You can't do that because Sanctum Contingency is not a "sorcerer or wizard evocation spell." It's a metamagicked version of a sor/wiz evocation spell. It's also 5th level, which Shadow Evocation can't do.
(b) Assuming you mean Greater Shadow Evocation with Contingency, yes.

Q774
Were there ever any maneuvers for martial adepts printed in any official source outside of ToB, including web enhancements, web content, or Dragon Magazine?
Sorry if this isn't an appropriate question for this thread.
Q775
Can an AoO provoke an AoO?
Example: If an unarmed person make an AoO against an armed monser, will his AoO provoke an AoO from the monster?
A 775
Yes, if the attack itself provokes an AoO (e.g. tripping as an AoO with Improved Unarmed strike but without Improved Trip)
Your example however does not work because an unarmed combatant does not threaten and as such cannot make AoOs in the first place.
Q 776
Just to confirm: If I'm under the effect of the Girralon Arms spell and use two of my arms to make weapon attacks, am I then unable to make claw attacks that round with the other two arms?
Q 777
Are there any spells other than Mindrape that alter memories with a duration of instantaneous?
Q 778 Is there a 3.5 reference to range increment being affected by size?
I found a 3.0 reference that is similar in Arms and Equipment on pg 4, though weapon size was a different element.
Basically I want to use a lot of reduced grigs (tinyDiminutive) against the party. They are equipped with longbows (range inc 100 ft). This does not make sense to me that such tiny weapons should still have that range. According to 3.0 it might make it a 42 3/16 ft increment (100*.75*.75*.75)
Q 778a What is the range increment for a Diminutive longbow in 3.5?
Q 778b What is the range increment for a Diminutive longbow in 3.0?
A 778 In 3.5 size doesn't change ranged weapons range increment (for sake of simplicity I guess).
So A 778a Diminutive longbow in 3.5 has increment of 100ft.
Q 779
If a creature A (without Improved Grapple or any other ability, that would remove the AoO) tries to start a grapple with a creature B that has not sufficient reach to attack A from its position, does B still get the AoO?
Ie. a human trying to start a grapple with a tiny viper. Would the viper get the AoO?
I believe the answer is "yes", but I want to make sure

So then a charmed follower under hypnosis can be treated as a fanatic ally for one request? (charm makes them friendly, hypnosis takes them through helpful to fanatic)
Q780
So a character has an IL of 11 and is gonna take swordsage in a couple levels. Can she qualify for a level 2 maneuver that requires one other maneuver with a level 3 maneuver that has no pre-req? Or should I be choosing maneuvers for her from low level toward high level?
A 779 No.Just because an enemy provoked an AoO doesn't mean you're capable of making an attack. If they provoke when outside your melee reach, you don't get to respond.Quote:
Making an Attack of Opportunity
An attack of opportunity is a single melee attack, and you can only make one per round.
Q781
Can you use psionic powers, while in a druid wildshape?
A781 Yes, since psionic powers need no components.
In 3.5 there is no range change for size. You can see this in the fact that a Ballista is just a Huge Heavy Crossbow and yet it has the same range. I don't know why they got rid of the size changes to range.
The same as a medium one.Quote:
Q 778a What is the range increment for a Diminutive longbow in 3.5?
You calculated them correctly.Quote:
Q 778b What is the range increment for a Diminutive longbow in 3.0?
Q782: Can a creature that has Spell-Like Abilities with caster level 6th have spells as SLAs, which are of 4th and higher level as spells for character classes?
Or put in reverse, does a creature with a 4th level spell as an SLA automatically have to have a caster level of at least 7th?
A 781That depends on how you add additional SLAs to the creature. The chosen method will tell you how to do it. (Also with CL 6 you should only be allowed to cast 3rd level spells)
No, SLAs and spellcasting are two completely distinct abilities
Q783
About Sneak Attack.
Sneak Attack is just an additional damage, not an action? And sneak attack applies after every hit (e.g. 3 attacks with full-attack action)?
A 783
Correct, except that all attacks need to qualify for the extra damage.
For example a character under the invisibility spell will only get 1 sneak attack unless the target is otherwise flat-footed (surprise round, 1st round but lower initiative); a flanking rogue on the other hand would automatically get the extra damage on all attacks.
