I would have to agree. The best part is the thumbs up.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Yeah, the thumbs up makes the funny. But without the sweetass truck, there'd be no joke.:smallwink:

Well, true. But I find humor matters more in the details than in the skeleton.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
It's been a while since I watched my favourite Disney film. About four months.
So I just had to rewatch it because I was being plagued (in the best way possible) by The Scene from it.
While the film is absolutely fantastic, there are still the Three Faults in the film that totally and utterly destroy the tone and atmosphere not just of the film in general, but of the preceding and following scenes. Especially after the villain goes on his villain rampage!

All my hate.

And for the one percent of people who don't know me, this film is The Hunchback of Notre Dame. And now you know the faults about which I'm talking.

Those gargoyles were awful. :smallsigh:

I have a kneejerk reaction when talking about this film.
"Those bloody gargoyles!" or "Those [omitted word] gargoyles."
Remember what they did to the tone of the entire last third of the film?! Especially the siege?
I saw this film the year it came out, I think they're what created my ability to snark.
-
Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
That's why, in my mind, I transplanted the Quarrymen from Gargoyles over to Hunchback.
Much more satisfying that way, and they don't even have to leave the Disneyverse. :smallamused:

Unnessicary cartoon sidekicks, the bane of all Disney movies. Watch the animated TV show Gargoyles, rekindle your love of scary demonic stone statues. Try to ignore the three stooges in a dramatic film.

*dips toe into thread*
It's nice to be back in Random Banter =3
So, I just gave my kitten a bath and he loved it. :smallconfused: I'm now questioning his cat-hood. Anyone else have a water loving cat?

I know that tigers do. Unsure about lions. I would, were I them, it's gotta be hot out there.
*hugs for Perry, wonders if RB is now a pool*

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Don't worry, the less cat-like your cat is, the healthier the cat is, generally.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Random banter is now a pool?
Random banter is now a pool!
*hops in*
*paddles around*
I learned this past week that the only stroke I'm still capable of doing is the doggie paddle. Thankfully it is sufficient to keep me from drowning. *nod* *nod*
Also, in other news, I think there is one breed of cat that likes water, but I can't remember what it is.

I'm better at the kitty paddle. :smallwink:
My kitten has been laying on the couch drying himself for the past two hours. I tried to blow dry him, but he was too afraid of the noise to stay still.

I can't really swim all that well, unfortunately. Probably part of why I've only been to the beach just down the road a couple times in the 8 months I've been here. =\

That's what yachts are for, you can have all of the fun of the sea without swimming skills.

Gah! *kitty paddles to side of pool and crawls out*
I hate beaches. I don't know what's in the water, I don't know what's in the sand, and when you get into the water sand gets everywhere. And in many places where sand should never been allowed to go. :smallannoyed:
I can normally tolerate sitting on the dry sand and making sand castles though, that's okay.

We should have a sandcastle building meetup! =D
*yawns* bedtime for Perry, I should probably get enough sleep to drag myself out of bed tomorrow morning without too much of a struggle. :smalltongue: g'night.

That would be awesome! =D
...especially since I usually do more in the "great big hole digging" field than in the "building castle-shaped thing" area. So someone doing something with all my sand would be awesome. =3
*hugs*...night, Perry! Was good seeing you again! =)

Nonono, It's rather exciting. You just haven't seen me do it yet. :smalltongue:
I'm great, how about you? I'm glad you didn't leave after I left like some of the others.

We'd be an awesome sandcastle making team then! =D And great big holes are fun to jump in too.
Nice seeing you again too! *hugs back*
Okay, now I'm going to bed. :smalltongue:
