Atropus is coming, my nation picked it up on the Magic Detecting Radar way out there near Mars and heading for Acro Earth.
I've assembled a Astronaut team, and made the chassis for the Rocket Ship, as well as a generator. Inside is providing a fuel source, an insulator, plasma shields, and plasma weaponry.

Ah, thanks. I must have missed when that was first mentioned, seeing as I just skim through the threads.
However, this is the third time today somebody beat me to my own plan. *shelves starship idea* :smallsigh::smallconfused:

Well, it's not a Starship..
It's just a modular Rocket ship.. It's not even going to be a rocket ship after this plot. :smalltongue:
So just wait a bit, and you can be the FIRST pilot of the ISS: Whatever you named your ship. (ISS: International Star Ship.), and pioneer the Final Frontier.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Eh, my idea was more for a starship that got Nexused* into orbit above, erm, what we're now calling the Nexus. On the basis that it would be an experiment in sci-fi RP, instead of my fantasy PCs. But that idea had some problems that needed to be worked out before I could even begin to RP it, so it's not a big deal at all.
But just because I have no plans on space travel in the immediate future doesn't mean nobody else does, and for that reason I'm not sure I like the idea of the government monopolizing space travel. What are they going to do if someone starts RPing a Nexused* astronaut? Arrest him for having space travel technology? :smallconfused:
*I am using "Nexus" as a verb to describe the process by which people, things, and ideas get sucked from where they were into the Nexus.

Hence why I put the clause of Private Ownership in there.
People who develop it independently are allowed to not sell it, but NATIONS aren't allowed to conduct monopolies.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Hm, the wording is ambiguous, but eh, okay. I'm fine with it if everyone else is.

This may not be a good time to mention KR-15's moonbase... >.>

Individuals, and Corporations are allowed their technologies.
National Projects, and Governments are not allowed this.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I support using "nexus" as a verb.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Maybe shorten it to nex? It conjugates easier.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
So instead of "nexused" and "nexusing" we'd have "nexed" and "nexing". It does sound a bit neater.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I support 'vworped' or maybe 'NEXUS'D!' (exclamation mark and everything).
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
"Nextra-special?"
...
*crickets chirp*
Sorry.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
RANDOM TANGENT: So I was looking for the PHB recently and realized how stanky some of the artwork is.
Compare: Exhibit Internets (Sexy). Exhibit PHB (Unsexy).
Also now I want to make a Ranger* character. For NO I guess. Even though I was going to make a E- level non-combatant, because I felt like nothing fits better in a mercantile organization than a completely helpless elf maiden with no useful skills whatsoever. Also, avatars for peoples.
*I'll make Goblins his favored enemy, just to be mean.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I'm not sure any of my characters were nexed here. Some of them were here all along (Baby, the Ostari); some came on purpose (Sunny, Charity, the Warwick family); others were wanderers who happened to end up here (Happy, Acacia, Decker); and one was created here (Mainframe).
I guess the only one would be Fitzhenry, who was headed to Mars and must have nexed along the way without realizing it. He still thinks this is Mars, of course.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I, personally, find the term "nex" to be too...casual.
PUN damage: [roll]2d8[/roll]
*flees*

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
nexed sounds good. I think most of my charcters were nexed. din from hyrule(non canon) Yamako from earth 2070, Tiberius from ebberon . I think Nicola was my first nexus born char

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
I'm back! So, who missed me?
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
...who are you again?
Welcome back HG.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
What is this? How long has this been here?
* checks *
Right.
Well, I missed Horngeek. Even though he's creepy, he's good to have around.

Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Hmmm....
KR(-15): Why, born here, of course! Well, technically KR was in A Galaxy Far, Far Away, but whatever.
Jazirian: Local.
Natalie: Local.
Kal: Local (well, sort of.)
Kris-the-Slayer: NEXUS'D!
Semiazas: Same as Kal.
Lilandra & Kari (My two semi-NPCs): Local
Khiansa & Zara: NEXUS'D!
Apostle: Teleported.
Everyone Else: Local.
That's it for my characters.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Daisuke: NEXUS'D!
All My Exalted Characters: NEXUS'D! (Technically, they chose to come here, though)
Also, Kid Kris, the pun in your sig... is truly awful.
...would you feel like maybe doing an avvie request for me?
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Mwahahaha.
Wait till you get the one in my Location. :smalltongue:
Hit me with it.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
A female Tiefling Bard. Playing a guitar in the avvie, probably. Has a longsword, and would be wearing casual, moderately-but-not-too-flirty clothing.
...and that's my image of her, really. Go nuts. :smalltongue:
{{:smallconfused: Actually, I don't get the one in your location}}
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
It helps if you know my actual location, of course. It's more clever[Citation Needed] wordplay than punnage though.

The urge to cheat is... overwhelming. :smalltongue:
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
No cheating! Now I actually have a more defenite image of what I actually want. :smalltongue:
For one thing, acoustic guitar (actually, I'm thinking more a cittern, I was just too lazy to look up the name). Secondly, I'd prefer her in a 'relaxed strumming' pose. Maybe sitting and strumming on it.
Thirdly, tiefling. So, red skin, horns and a tail. More pronounced infernal heritage than that guy. :smalltongue:
{{Yeah, you're from Thailand. I still don't get it}}
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Oh forget it. I don't expect you to know the history of a random island. It's just for my own benefit. :smalltongue:
Annnd DONE! Dear god...

I dare you to guess what she's playing... :smalltongue::smallsigh:
Credit, change askiness, blah blah blah.
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Nope. She's good, thanks!
She will be credited, don't worry. She's actually a character in a 4e game I'm about to take part in.
She may enter ACRO, however... :smallwink:
-
Re: Nexus OoC 1: The Shape of Things to Come
Wow, someone actually playing 4E on this site? For some reason there rare or at least scarce for the most part.
