"He back Dais?" She asks, her own acute senses useless against magic. He eyes search out every shadow, looking for something, anything, that would betray it's presence.
Yeah. It is.
That's cool.
Since both of them can see him, I'll give a description:
It appears to be a cloudy presence, not exactly a spirit, but a force of just evil, fading in and out, as if it's only halfway on this plane of existance. It has scary, fear-inducing eyes, and an indeterminate form for the rest of the body.
It glares at the two who can see him, Time'll be running out, and it seems to split into two equal presences now. One searches towards the pool area, through the wall, and the other moves towards the dormatories, vanishing through a wall into a room.
It's not a magic power, it's more of a 'I can do this because I understand how to do it' thing. So magic-senses work pretty much as well as regular I-feel-shivery senses.
Daisuke frowns.
He moves back into the Rose Garden, and draws his sword.
Stubborn idiot.
Bring light to the darkness, Shinken.
His sword starts to glow.
Daisuke's senses are less magic and more 'I work on this level, so of course I can see spirits'.
That's really cool. I wish my characters were that cool.
The presense has managed to split yet again somehow. Two are searching up and down GLoG, while the third peeks in the overpowered-people's in the Rose Garden. It's hiding up in the corner, giving people a proper chill up their back.
Like Eklipso, for example. She feels a chill running up her back and looks around frantically.
Happens.
Daisuke looks around. Don't worry, Eklipso.
He will not pass me.
He looks... up in the corner.
Found you.
The evil presence cannot talk.
It also seems to be waiting for something.
Possibly for the other parts to become aware.
Possibly to see who survived the data dump.
Possibly because its already leaving its taint in Eklipso's mind, through its eyes.
Possibly for some other reason.
It just sits there.
Thank you, says Eklipso quietly.
Daisuke appears directly in front of the presence.
And slices at it with his sword.
Again, this should influence it somehow.
Susan sits, watching Daisuke very carefully. She turns to Eklipso.
"I think you should probably go back inside." She says.
The presence gets cut in half by the sword, and effectually dies - meaning, it fizzles and disappates.
To Susan, she says Okay... before being interrupted by:
However, taking advantage of this opportunity, a second and third presence swoop in at Eklipso from opposite directions. Ouchie. She shrieks in alarm, covering her head and ears, like she can hear something, a voice in her head.
Daisuke disappears, and reappears next to her.
He slices at these two presences.
"What, what happened?" Susan says. "Dais, did you catch that? What happened?"
Two more of the things.
They also disappate, in a similar fasion. That was remarkably easy.
Eklipso has her eyes jammed shut, and she's crouched over. She's also silently praying, her mouth moving, no words coming out.
Under the Tree
Less than wanted, says the man, getting up from his meditation, but still effective.
Daisuke tries to see if there's been any change to her soul or something.
Are you all right?
Listen, we're going to get you to the infirmary.
"Okay, check out her soul while some drones get her to the infirmary." She says, as some drones try to pick up Eklipso and take her to the infirmary.
Her soul doesn't appear damaged, but it appears to be encompassed by a different soul as some kind of wall or shield, with a little bit of damage in the wall-soul. (OOC: Her brother's real soul (not the demon-y one))
She looks up, stops silently praying. I'm...I...think so. she says.
She gets picked up, and brought to the infirmiry.
"Well we're going to take you to the infirmary to make sure." Susan says, as the meddrones transport her.
The wall thingy makes him pause...
Oh, my.
There's... another soul around yours. Protecting yours, I'd say.
...really? she asks.
[Infirmary]
She's there now, carried by drones.
The drones will quickly put her in a bed, and start performing all sorts of fantastical medical scans, of which I have no knowledge.
Yes. It's taken some damage, which worries me...
I am not a medic, so this isn't really my area. And in our world, this sort of thing doesn't happen anyway, so I can't tell you much.
Ooh, that sounds fun. Fantasy medical scans.
She seems alright.
That's...strange, I guess. A...damaged wall? she asks. It is too bad you don't know more.
In case anybody's looking, the wall-soul seems to be withdrawing and going away somewhere.
And... it's withdrawing. Interesting...
Daisuke yawns. Aaaah. Been a big day for me, sorry.
"Alright, your body seems fine, according to the med drones." Susan says. "But if you feel anything odd, anything out of the ordinary in the next few days, I want you to go straight to the infirmary."
She's weirded out about this 'second soul' business - people are only supposed to have one, unless they're possesed or something similar. But, to Susan, she responds Okay, I will., with a nod.
I definitely should be getting to bed soon...it's like 3:15.
All right...
and I'll see what can be done about your brother, all right?
This said, Daisuke goes to bed. Next to Val.
"Okay, good." Susan says. "Good night Dais." She says when he leaves.
Alright, she says, continuing to be subject to the treatment by the crazy medical drones.
Deadtime!
Meanwhile, Jazirian is heading over tondeposit some of his own wealth into the vault. It is a sad day. : smallfrown:
He opens the vault.
