Grantz waves it at the Shen Gaoren's leg. A blade of force cuts the leg and shows the crab meat. In his head He named it Zanken, meaning force blade in demon language.
"Yup, we do win stuff. Amir you still up for cooking crab? maybe we can team up after this to see what else is here?
Grantz works on the crab meat and whatever was left of the skull. He saw Amir Happily donning his armor.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Savanna- Underground
The dagger works with deadly efficiency against the already weakened carapace, the first strike sinking partway into the shell before the second breaks through entirely and the third pierces flesh below to draw up thick green-black blood.
And that's when the monolith beetle lets out an annoyed buzz, gathering all it's strength and slamming full-force into the compacted earth of the cave ceiling once more. This time the attack nearly brings down the entire tunnel, dirt and stone raining down on all sides.
It's possible Red could turn back into slime-form and slip down through the wound and into the beetle's circulatory system, but it would be difficult.
The beetle's attack comes barely a second after the dagger manages to pierce it's hide, the cut inflicted is small and I can imagine his slime-form would have to be pretty viscous and therefor slow to avoid simply dissolving, all of which would theoretically limit his ability to get his full bulk through the cut before the beetle can crush whatever of him remains outside.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Red is a shapeshifter, turning into a very, very small insect and hid in the crevice like wound. The insect is beetle-like with dagger-like claws. Gripping with all his small might so he doesn't get thrown off. If the beetle shell absorbed can withstand the blood coming out, Red will swim into the bloodstream and then transform into the slime then try once more to absorb the beetle's everything this time hoping to kill it.

He glances down to assess the damage caused by the Toxic Sliver and notes the wound in his gut. Not as though he needed those organs anyway. He also can't walk- he hasn't got enough legs left for that. He slashes out at wherever it looks like the Toxic Sliver will put its head next, his sharp-as-glass claws growing another few centimetres as Mateo diverts blood to that instead of healing.
Forest
Once again, the sliver's bones prove too strong to simply be snapped like that, but Mateo does manage to wrench it off his arm at last as it flails in his grip. Its scythe blade comes up and tries to draw across his throat with both claws, but with its head covered in thick brown blood and pointed away from Mateo it's doing little more than flailing blindly.
The toxic sliver's head takes a jarring blow to the side of its impressive beak, shredding skin and opening up a wound all the way down to the inside of its palate. In return it stabs forward at Mateo's spine at about diaphragm height, chittering and spitting blood in obvious pain.

Though if not even being inside Yellow's mouth will expose the sliver to absurdly caustic digestive enzymes that can reduce a full grown koopa to a protein slurry in under a minute.
Dear gods yoshis are scary...
As for the armor... It's built in typical full-plate style, vital organs all fully encased in a cuirass of Buzzy Beetle carapace. Areas that require more flexibility are protected with Chain-Chomp Mail backed by Koopa leather and Lekitu cloud padding. That would be the best spot to aim a stab, though it might be hard to stab all the way to something vital.
Truth be told the yoshi's unarmored head and neck are the best target.
Or the belt for that matter.
SLASH!
Right through the belt!
Pulling it off shouldn't be too hard at this point. Yellow is distracted with the whole not getting strangled to death thing.
Beach
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away...
The manic sliver's tail is slashed at, but has the yoshi caught in a death grip that just won't quit. Even when the claws rake all the way down to the bone it's still holding on tightly, so it looks like the yoshi will have to find some way to sever the spine, or wait for the sliver to dissolve enough that it dies fully and lets go. Impeding this process is that same waxy substance all the slivers are producing to deaden impacts, although it's obviously not creating enough to keep up with the yoshi's digestion.
Underneath it, the wooden sliver tries to hook the belt with his beak and slip away with it to a fair distance before attempting to manipulate it in a way that something edible will pop out. The ravenous beasts, without the direction of Jakob, are falling back on their instincts now.
The others, seemingly rested enough and done with being non-combatants, leap at the yoshi's head now, tails coiling and uncoiling like springs to launch them off the sandy beach floor. Each is aiming for an eye with their claws, although the oily one is certainly faster about it.

Thousands of miles?
Is this place really THAT big?
Anywho!
As soon as Yellow can feel the bone under his fingers he'll attempt to hook his talons between the vertebra and clamp down with teeth and claws alike! He's trying to rip the sliver's tail right off. If that works he'll then swallow the monster whole.
The Wooden sliver manages to trip the Inventory Belt's release mechanism, causing all of its contents to spill out! Inside is a weird off-white block with a face on it. On the top is a hinge. Should it be opened the sliver would find a chalkboard and some chalk inside.
Though that isn't terribly edible...
Also inside is a large green berry about the size of an apple. A sweet smelling red and black melon. And a large mushroom with eyes. As soon as the mushroom hits the ground it begins scooting away along the sand via some unknown method of locomotion.
Oh.
And there's also a Chain-Chomp in there.
"ARF ARF!" the Chomp barks before hurling itself at the sliver, trying to clamp its steel jaws over the creature's face.
As for the remaining two, Yellow catches them out of his peripheral vision and dives into a shoulder-roll. Though not quite quick enough, one of the sliver's scores a gash along the yoshi's neck. He's starting to get a little woozy now from the neck-grip...

Anyway, the figure is busy burning the corpse of some sort of beastie...through use of black fire that seems to sort of suck in the light around it.
As Gordon approaches, it turns around to face him...and stares at him...with rather bright eyes, which make a rather sharp contrast to its slim, shadow-y black body and seemingly rather plain face. "Why are you wearing that massk?" the creature hisses, its voice suggesting it's probably male.

Yep, that'll do it. Turning small enough to use the absorbed carapace as full shell was a rather clever move, letting him withstand the acidic blood and quickly force his way through the wound before the beetle can crush him against the wall. And once that's done, the fight's pretty well over with.
The monolith beetle, like most insects, has an open circulatory system, meaning there are fairly large hollows running through it's body all the way to the brain. This means there's plenty of room for Red to resume slime-form and, as that shape is apparently acid resistant, he won't have to worry about being melted by the caustic qualities of the beetle's fluids either.
Eating through enough of it's innards to kill it will take a while, assuming Red's not merciful enough to go right for the brain and kill the monolith beetle quickly, but with no way to attack an opponent within it's own body the creature's death is assured.

In fact they are more simular to wesps and they also have littel claws as shown in the picture. First let's get to the poison. It isn't deadly as said, but it's effect is other. It stops any magic for a short duration. Namly her morphing (which is a magical ability as far as I know) and the lightingshooting may stop for a moment or just decrease in power(that's up to you). The once in her arm will use their claws to attack her face when she tears them appart. The strings will struck in her body since they have little hooks.
The Xandits on the ground shake of the lightning and a few will escape the next lighting the rest dies. If it is weakend the remaining will got paralized again.

Annoying little beasties. Poor Cat's beautiful face. Snif.
She'll try to pull the stingers out of her arm.
While her lightning is down after that last shot, she's claw at the paralysed Xandits that remain. Maybe stomp on them.
She'll also slowly morph back to human form. (If I understood correctly?))

"So you get some benefit for having ashes from different things. Interesting."
Gordon keeps his eyes on the creature, a little concerned that it might scent the faint tang of ozone that comes from him. After all, he isn't human anymore, so it might change its mind about trying to use him for ashes if it figures that fact out.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

You got it right they despell any kind of magic. Not forever only for moments, but if she don#t get ride of the strings it could be much more annoying. If she drags hard enougth she will get them out, also creating a bloody wound. The hooks are small, but still they cause damage.
Since the once on botom are all dead and Cat should now falling (she flew up if I remember right.) she will met the last four Xandits. two fast fly away reaching for their lair. maybe to call for help or maybe to call for advice. The last two try again to land their strings aiming for the heart.
This said only 4 remain of a 100 soul swarm of harvester

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Better to have some wounds than stingers, so she pulls really hard. She can clean those later. Her reflexes let her land on her feet without harm.
She'll brandish her knife, swinging at the two aiming for her while she shoots a bolt of lightning as strong as she can manage to the fleeing ones. Can't let them escape.

Mateo is hit by the Vampiric Sliver's tail, though it doesn't slice across his throat. Instead, it's off target enough to slice through his face just below his bottom lip and takes off his chin. That distracts him enough for the Toxic Sliver to stab him, though since he doesn't breathe that pretty just means he can't talk for a while. Keeping his attention on the Toxic Sliver, Mateo reaches out and tries to grab it by the head, or as close to the head as he can get. He'll use his claws to grab it, trying to cause a wound and pull on that rather than grab around the Sliver's head. His other hand reaches out and Mateo will try pushing with one hand as the other pulls, twisting the Sliver's neck and hopefully damaging the spinal column.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Hills]
It's worth mentioning two things at this point.
Firstly, what little Gordon did see of the remains before they were entirely reduced to ash suggest the creature was fairly big.
Secondly, with the fire having done its work and gone out, the area has brightened further, revealing the creature is definitely humanoid in appearance, wearing a simple outfit of loose-fitting brown clothes, with a belt containing numerous items, including several similar bags, probably full of ash. A sword, sheathed, is strapped to one side...
"Ass you wissh..."
The transformation is rather sudden...
His body shifts and alters shape rapidly, growing larger, probably about ten feet tall. The clothes and equipment seem to simply fade away as the creature's shape changes.
Soon, four thing black legs hold up the long body of a giant, black praying mantis. The underside of the beast is covered with rows of small spikes, and the mantis's two arms seem far more curved and sharp, as if each one ended in a scythe blade.
The creature stares with large, bulbous eyes at Gordon...
And then within moments the change is undone, the nightmarish creature vanishes, and it is the strange, thin shadowy humanoid staring at him with glowing eyes again. "An interessting form...the legss sseem too thin to hold up the body, yet manage it with easse."
-

Gordon steps back at the transformation.
"Well, that was indeed interesting."
Hmm, decisions decisions. Try and hurt this creature, or move on and look for something else. It could be useful later, but it could also be interesting enough to fight.

The stag raps a fist against his new breastplate, clearly ecstatic. The stag's gonna be wearing this stuff quite often.
He watches Grantz new blade do it's work, quite impressed himself. "Sweet dagger. Yeah, let's eat and then see what else we can win." The stag walks toward the huge crab and lops off another chunk of meat, biting down with a squishing noise. "I'm gonna hunt here all the time!" He says, sawing off a few slabs of flesh for their lunch.
Adir begins preparing their meal in short order, lighting a fire with some wood from his pack and spitting the meat on a metal rod.

Red exits the beetle through the wound from earlier. In front of the corpse, he turns back into his child from albeit noticeably smaller. It would be too late to collect the slime to get bigger. He'll just have to wait 'till he regrows normally.

Well, the intent was most likely to paralyze him by piercing the spine, but since that didn't seem to work Mateo's grabbing of the toxic sliver and wrenching its head with a sickening crack. Its tail loosens from his leg as its beak snaps at him viciously in his hands. The creature isn't dead, but its arm and tail are paralyzed and hang uselessly.
It's also bleeding out rather fast from its multitude of headwounds.
The vampiric one is still relatively fresh though, lashing out once more with its bony arm and trying to catch Mateo across the eyes, blinding him if possible before backing off. It's just as woozy from being drained, but it seems to be content to let Mateo bleed out and rot some for now, as he's proven to be a hard thing to kill, and letting him weaken himself before moving in can only be beneficial.

Okay, maybe not that big, but with the Nexus you can never really tell.
When the Chain-Chomp grabs at the wooden sliver, it twitches out of the way, leaving an after-image for chompy to gnaw. Then it takes off after the mushroom, more used to chasing fleeing prey than sitting fruits.
If it catches up, it will gobble it down and take the effects, whatever they might be.
The manic one's tail is ripped off, and it's gobbled down the yoshi's throat. Just as it begins to move down though, it explodes into a massive swelling of green glowing mushrooms from all the accumulated damage, no doubt making the yoshi's cheeks puff out and glow green momentarily. It won't stop him from swallowing the beast, but it will look rather silly.
The waxy and oily ones change direction as they hit the ground and continue their assault, aiming for the yoshi's vulnerable head with their claws again.
