Not as such, but I can see a tactical retreat to a better location. But I don't think they'll just hightail it and hide.
Thog, but just barely.
The Order shall prevail. But it will be a bittersweet victory. I imagine tragedy striking ... soon.
Tarquin, no question about it. Thog's appeal is non-existent for me.
No. I figure they'll be captured by Team Nale.

No, won't run away.
:thog:
Tarquin for me; not really willing/able to guess an answer to the poll question.
I'd go for NO.
And, seriously, way too easy: Tarquin.
Too late to change my vote to no? Next poll!:smalltongue:
So what is the winning outcome? Looks like No (not running).
:roy: Everyone out the door and get ready to fight.
No
It seems pretty clear that are at least going to have a go at fighting the Linear Guild before they fall back. Even then I do not predict it happening. I'm thinking V to the rescue somehow.
Tarquin, but it's close.
Reader Poll for #847
The Order of the Stick find themselves in a familiar situation; off-balance and facing the Linear Guild ambush at a severe tactical disadvantage. Will the Order (minus V) be forced to return to their most successful tactic? (Will they flee from Linear Guild v.4 like little girls).
Yes: 14 - 45.16%
No: 17 - 54.83%
Round 1, Match 3
:thog:: 6 - 18.18%

Wow, you guys either do not like Thog, or really, really love Tarquin.
Reader Poll for #848
Yukyuk died shielding Mr. Scruffy from two consecutive acid baths. Does this elicit some kind of negative reaction? (sad? bad? mad?) Yes or No?
Round 1, Match 4
"NO! No more compromises, no more delays, no more backing down before the battle is won!"
:miko:
VS
:xykon:
"I ripped off my own living flesh so I wouldn't have to admit weakness... That's the difference between bonafide true Evil with a capital 'E' and your whiny "evil, but for a good cause," crap. One gets to be the butch and one gets to be the bitch... Bitch."
Yes. I feel sad for his puppy, although he might have been an animal abuser...
Xykon all the way, although I am not a Miko hater. In fact, she'd probably be somewhere in my top 10 of the many antagonists in the series. I just think Xykon is such a great character.
Nope, not really.
:xykon:
I'll have to say no.
And while I like Miko.. I have to go with Xykon.
For Yukyuk's fate, a definite no. I have a hard time sympathizing with people who shoot cats, and he's probably better off this way anyway. The worst I can say is that it was a tad anticlimactic.
For the character poll, I'm going with Xykon simply because he's been in way more strips. While her legacy of controversy (which does not make her a bad character, to be clear) will linger forever, Miko herself has not been seen in nearly 400 strips.
Yes, because it means that I've lost the first round of my own Death Pool because of the wrong Kobloid getting killed.
:xykon:. I have no particular hatred for Miko, but Xykon is just a far more interesting and funny character.
Yes and Miko.
No, and Xykon.
not really, should I?
Xykon, but that was, for the first time, really REALLY hard.
No. Considering what Belkar and V were already subjecting him to, not to mention my own repulsion at mind control in general, I'd say he's better off now.
Also, Xykon. He's amusing. Miko only made me happy when she died.
Zevox
Nope
:xykon: That is a no-brainer. Best villain out there.
No. Good riddance. Animal cruelty is in the same cathegory of pedophilia and few other horrible acts. Worst among the worst.
Also, ironic death made me smile.
:xykon: ...easy.
I've never quite gotten this viewpoint. Sure, a Kick The Dog moment is evil- but it's not Moral Event Horizon evil- so to speak.
No to the poll; Yukyuk's death was presented far too off-handedly to make me care either way.
:miko:
From us, or from the OOTS or some other characters in the comic? I can't say I ever gave much of a toss about the guy, and it doesn't look like my fellow forumites or the characters in the comic did either. No.

No contest. And not just because he played Miko like a piano the one time they talked.
No, it was heartwarming.
Miko. [Xykon's a great villain, but personally she's more memorable. I've never liked a character precisely because they were a Knight Templar before.]
I hated Kilkil after Strip 792, ("Don't worry, I'm a ranger. I love animals." *shoots Mr. Scruffy*) so no, his death didn't make me all that sad. Plus, as Zevox said, he's better off now. Better to die shielding a housecat than to have a housecat take a dump in your mouth.
And I like :xykon: better. :miko: was pretty funny (at least to me) in her earlier strips, but then she just became too much for me. ("You should not give in to your so-called 'needs!'") There's a lot to be said for Affably Evil. :smallwink:
EDIT: Anyone have characters who they absolutely will vote for (or against) when they come up? I'm definitely voting for Inkyrius. And V's kids. And if they come up against each other, I'm going to be mad.
Xykon all the way. Every good story needs a good Villain.
As for the question, not really so much of a negative emotion, so much as it reminds me that Belkar is evil. I think perhaps one last reminder might be needed if he is going be on his way out soon.
