Durkon's been dragging his corpse all around the cafeteria level. I think that might account for any "mussing".

I think it's the same one who was closest to the door in 841. I don't think it's the same guy as the comedian.
You seem to have left out Zz'dtri. Was his count incremented?
Oops! Fixed. I added Zz'dtri and I changed the reference to Draketooth Comedian to Draketooth by Entrance. Good catch, everyone!

The top 4 NPCs are all very close. Any bets on who will be the first to 100? :smalltongue:
Nale, probably. He's more important than Mr. Scruffy right now, and Xykon and Redcloak have yet to show up.
Has someone worked up a Malack icon yet? He'll be a Frequent Character by the next time he appears.
I believe we had an icon for him before we switched to the current format; the top 40 characters all had icons back then.
This was probably discussed before, but I did not find it, so I'm asking. Why is Jirix's first appearence stated as in strip #459? Is there any reason why the hobgoblin cleric who was later killed by Miko should be him? His unholy symbol has a different color and Redcloak would have a hard time raising him from under the rubble from the falling castle.
As for the first character who gets 100th, I vote for Xykon+Redcloak in the same strip. They deserve the honor.
I believe we have Word of Giant that it was Jirix (in one of the books or something). Also, resurrection doesn't need the whole body to bring someone back; even a single fingerbone would do. :smallwink:
(As for the unholy symbol, my assumption is that it was destroyed in the explosion, requiring him to get a new one once he was raised.)
Might be an idea to add the Jirix thing to the FAQ, since that's about the six-hundredth time it's been asked now.

Thanks, Gift! This was a milestone. Nale ties Xykon and Redcloak. Malack gets an image. Sabine tops Miko!
Is there a forum thread of OOTS smilies somewhere that I don't know about, or do you just have a stash?
Also, on the Jirix thing, I've been thinking about and I think we were wrong. Jirix is not the cleric who was destroyed in the tower. In strip 704, Jirix gives a (as far as we know, truthful) speech about what happened to him after he was killed by O-Chul. The way he speaks strongly indicates this is the first time he died. He "realized" this was his eternal reward. He saw a guy he owed money to.
Now, he could have been embellishing, but why? It seems to me the cleric who Miko decapitated probably left behind no identifiable remains to resurrect. So Redcloak promoted Jirix to chief cleric, and then, after he sacrificed himsel fto O-Chul, to Prime Minister.
So Jirix's first appearance is Strip 480, and he loses two appearances attributed to that poor exploded hobgoblin cleric.
Fixed! Also, Jirix is demoted from Minor to Infrequent character. :smallfrown:
Okay. Fixed.
I was just looking through this, and it says that O-Chul has 42 appearances (excluding bonus material) so far. Heh. :smallamused:
Welcome to the Frequent Characters camp, Malack. May your stay be a pleasant one.

860: Belkar Bitterleaf (Charmed), Durkon Thundershield, Haley Starshine, Nale, Roy Greenhilt, Sabine, Tarquin, Zz'dtri
One more appearance by Tarquin will bump him up to the Major characters category.
Plus Sabine.(Edit-ninja'd.)
Heh. The winged Outsider girlfriends of the party leaders are both at 71 appearances and both were sent back to their home plane. :smalltongue:
