Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Day Three
If that is the case, then wouldn't I be the most suspicious of all for voting for Asteron first then switching over to ThePhantom? Yet I don't see myself on these lists anywhere. Which confuses me. I surely thought the lynch wagon would come my way.

Then starting things on me today. Perfectly reasonable considering my votes so far, but I feel like there are other people who should be first. Duck for one (by my count put Phantom in the lead over Asteron for good on day one). I am likely just biased, but I feel like being on the counterwagon to a wolf two days in a row looks more like a mistaken villager than a wolf. It is something that naively looks extremely wolfish, so I think any wolf would avoid it unless they had no choice. So overall, your starting things on me could be a matter of trying to get a villager lynched, but with good enough reasoning that nobody would hold it against you.
My vote made no difference, though. The lynch would have been the same even if I hadn't switched. Although looking back it looks like it was closer than I had thought at the time.

IMO, your switch was very justified. We needed to lynch someone and Phantom had the most votes.

Sarcasm aside, if this is your reasons to consider me suspicious, then you're wasting your time. I made a genuine error which does happen and at the same time stated my distaste of a certain practice. Is it so wrong of me to want to give everyone a chance to get through the first day alive? And if this is because I voted for Phantom over Asteron on day one, then I think I should remind you that so did a lot of other people.
Of course, there may be some other less obvious reason you've decided I'm suspicious, so I kindly request to be enlightened as to your reasons I should be thrown out through an airlock, so to speak.
I'm overreacting, there are only two votes on me, an initial vote and a follow on by a person who also misses things when they check. (It is a common problem in our world, let's not treat it as the mark of evil)
All things considered, I can offer no suitable sacrifice for you to focus your attentions on, so please, proceed with this line of inquiry as you see fit.
Sprig surveyed Elemental as he put his arms up in denial in an all to casual way. Sprig then sighed in dismay as he looked around at the reactions of the others. 'Are people really going to buy that?' he wondered.
"I hear ya! I do!" Growled Sprig in response. "Your words make sense but I hear the sound of sweet sugar coating mixed in. Just like your accusation on the poor Medic! I heard you then too! Lets recall your words."
Quote:
I don't know about you guys, but I really hate having to lynch someone on the first day, especially as ThePhantom hasn't said anything. But alas, strategy demands we do something.
I now have a hunch I'm going to kick myself later over this decision.
"Sounds like a rather conditional accusation to me. Kinda like 'I'm accusing him but I don't really want to!' If you didn't want to, why did you?" Sprig paused hoping to emphasis the impact of his statement. "It is an all to blatant attempt at deniability. I don't know about kicking yourself but I'll make you regret it!"
This time as Sprig paused he directly pointed at Elemental. "If you had stuck to your guns, and not voted or placed an accusation somewhere else, I wouldn't have blinked an eyelid. But you voted one of the wagons. The wagon that wasn't a traitor no less." Sprig let his arm fall. Being confined to his suit and not consuming any solids had taken its toll on his strength.
But Sprig hadn't finished yet. "So you could be right of course! It could be all a mistake, maybe we got the wrong end of the stick? But tell me about yesterday? I saw you here, I heard you speak but I couldn't help but notice that it didn't contain an accusation!

Doctor Grey sprays a chemical solvent onto the bloodstained table and wipes a section of it clean before he starts to sort through a pile of computer chips.
"Under normal circumstances I'd say we send a maintenance drone to fix the life support systems, but near as I can tell, they're all fried. Of course, the systems that monitor them are also fried, so for all we know a couple of drones have already responded to the problem and are fixing it as we speak."
He sweeps half the broken chips into a bag and throws them into a bin in the corner of the room.
"I volunteer to check it out, my insurance covers mutation from radiation exposure."
OOC: Halae, Internet Flea and Myself (Elemental). As for a vote as to who to lynch, that is harder. I've got no IC reason to do so and while Fleeing Coward's role claim is a surprise, I'm not that curious as to ascertain whether he's telling the truth or not.
"Did you enact your 'don't want to lynch people day one' policy a day late? This was a prime opportunity to correct your mis-lynch but perhaps it's just another misunderstanding. Perhaps we just couldn't hear you properly"

@Sprig: As I said, I don't like having to lynch people on the first day, hence, something I didn't really want to do. Is it so wrong to not like doing something? I don't like paying taxes, but I still do it.
On the second day, I simply forgot to place a lynch vote, something which, shockingly as it sounds, does actually happen. I shall endeavour to avoid the same error today.
Alas, I am reasonably certain nothing I say will sway your vote off me, so please, continue as you see fit.
Hmm... Looking at the votes so far, Aventine's already reached the required quantity for lynch. Might as well follow suit. Aventine.

You didn't have to do it though. There wasn't a need. Where as you need to pay your taxes. I am of the same opinion, Day One lynches suck. I feel to sorry for people that get lynched day one so I normally vote off wagon. But why did you need to preface it? just simply do, not telegraph. You last sentence around kicking yourself was the kicker for me. So did you kick yourself? It's that bit that really nails what appears to be a wolf accusation post.

So was this the second time you kicked yourself? By itself, no issue. Coupled with your bad vote first day it's actually inexcusable.

Alarm bells started going off around the ship. Everyone jumped up worried. Had the traitors done something again? It was panic as everyone reached for the nearest item that could be used as a weapon. Sprig instead went over to the panel and flicked a switch. "Sorry guys, it seemed to have reacted Elementals statement." Sprig turned to Elemental. "On bandwagon again aye?"

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Day Three
Tabby is... asleep in quarantine. This is probably the first sleep she's had in several days, and at this point she's simply out; her conscious mind simply sort of ceased function halfway to the bed. Several times over the past 72 hours she's pushed herself past her normal limits in order to stay awake and useful to the crew, and at this point, she's simply out of gas. It's less like parking a car, and more driving it into a ditch - the only reason she really stopped is because her entire body has mandated it.
For the first ten or so hours, she'll be dead to the world, entirely unable to be woken up by conventional means. After that, I figure everybody else is going to be asleep too, so they won't bug her.
What's the perfect place for a paranoid insomniac to finally shut down? Why, quarantine of course! Nobody can stab you in your sleep if nobody can get in anyways!

I would agree with Count Dingdong about Duck and Tanar. But the reasoning against them is not all that different then the reasoning against me, so I don't feel that strongly that they are wolves. I might also look at the people who voted for Asteron after he had a couple votes. With the 25% rule that reasoning is weaker than it might otherwise be, but if a wolf felt like Asteron was going to reach 25% anyway it still might make sense to vote for him to look good.
Aventine is doing himself a disservice here. The reasoning I could come up with for Duck and Tanar would have more weight than what I could for Aventine. And certainly nothing to how guilty Elemental looks.
I mean - look at Tanars case.

I am comfortable taking Aventine at his word and agree he looks more like a villager who found himself on the the wrong wagon twice. (since this is really easy to avoid as wolf)

While I have some thoughts on the matter, I am under the impression that we're in some sort of silenced state, since this clearly is some kind of lockup event and Nonayer explicitly mentioned that we may roleplay:

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Day Three
No, you cannot participate in today's discussion other than small irrelevant comments or questions for me. It should be clear by now that this event had one sneaky evil reasoning behind it. And that was to see what would happen if 3 of the most influential/outspoken/trusted people got isolated for a day.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Though the rules merely state red, I shall alter the colour of my text to prevent any confusion. On that note though, I will say that if I had deception in mind I would have chosen maroon, or #800000.
@Sprig: As much as I'd like to continue to argue the point, there's not really much I can think of to say to get you off my case. I'll leave it up to everyone else whether or not they choose to agree with you or not. Rest assured, I don't have any powers, so town doesn't need to worry about killing me.

Kezzan waved a long fingered hand at the paranoid fellow in the suit. Sprig was it? "I have been busy today. I do hope I have not missed much." Kezzan spoke no louder than a whisper as he stared at the flickering display which showed the finer points of the day's discussion, "I reluctantly agree Elemental's carelessness has not been to the good of the ship. It is a close decision between the two suspects however, and both needed the scrutiny."

How is that convenient. When I said Aventine's vote was convenient, I was saying that it helped a wolf avoid lynching when they said it was a "random vote." My not voting was on a day where a wolf got lynched. I'm not sure how my not voting helped the wolves.
Also, it would be nice if people could add a little more explanation than "This person is more suspicious than the other."

I didn't say that. I said I forgot to vote for a lynch candidate.
Not that it matters what I say at this point. By my calculations I won't survive the day without an unexpected and major shift in the vote, especially when factoring that I think the day is supposed to be over by now anyway, though I could be wrong there. The only conceivable plan to save myself at this point is to make something up and hope you buy it, but alas, the clock is ticking and you're unlikely to believe me.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Day Three
I feel like I should mention this. Sprig Pm'ed me and probably other people (i'm assuming here) to vote for Elemental. So I thought I should put that out there.
edit: I really shouldn't say vote for him, but to reevaluate our vote.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Day Three
Sprig had been leaning against the wall survey the late flurry of voices that this very long day had produced. He felt a little proud as One voice told of a private conversation. Sprig stood up straight and addressed everybody. "There was a good reason to speak to the young fella in private. I felt his judgement displayed so far was, for the lack of a better word, lacking. Most of you, and even himself would agree but I think the brave young man has potential. So a simple word in his ear about reevaluating his accusation turned out to be all that was needed."
Sprig leaned back against the wall feeling quite comfortable despite his weaken state. He was aware how uncomfortable it might have been for the other to be addressed by someone they couldn't quite see properly, but his comfort came before the comfort of others.
"I haven't actually spoken to anyone else apart from a small prod to Tanar right at the beginning of the day. I am actually surprised a little bit by the length of the day. Thankfully it has allow some people to make their voices heard that would have not have been heard otherwise."
Sprig checked the read out on his protective suit. '55% or about 3 days left, best make use of it' he thought.
"I realize quite a few of you would be eyeing me wearily because of my perhaps over-zealous behavior today. Apart from my case on elemental which is really, nether here nor there, I had a really good reason for trying to steer the accusations. Unfortunately, it is not something that I am willing to share publicly just yet."

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Night Three
It was the third day of traitor hunting and by now the crew had gotten used to this peculiar routine. Wake up, find someone dead, search for a traitor, dispose of the suspect. Rinse and repeat. It came as no surprise to anyone when accusations began flying around. The proceedings were civil up to the point when everyone realized they had enough air to shout at each other again.
However it didn’t take long for a majority to form around Dr. Grey. After all they had already killed an innocent doctor, surely the other one had to be evil. Unlike Ironhoof the tired doctor was in no mood to fight it out.
“I will come quietly, he stated. I have no trouble against being put in a cell until this thing is sorted out.”
“Excellent. Engineer Dawn, chef Cabbagepatch, escort the prisoner to his cell.”
“Yessir!”
***
They took the good doctor on quite the long walk along the corridors of the ship. It used to be hard to find your way around the gargantuan ship when all the electronic guidance systems were functional, now only a few dared stray too far from the inner areas of the ship that contained the crew quarters. At first the doctor didn’t suspect a thing but the longer they walked the stranger it seemed to him that they hadn’t reached the brig.
They stopped suddenly in front of a strange hatch that lead to a small circular room.
“Here we are doctor, this will be your cell.”
“That? But it looks like an escape pod!”
“Exactly.”
Cabbagepatch pushed him inside before the poor man could protest further and the engineer sealed the hatch and pressed the eject button. Alarms blared for a few seconds before the damaged escape pod was launched into space.
“How long do you reckon he’ll last in that thing?” asked the chef.
“If he’s lucky… seconds. If he’s very unlucky it could be days before he runs out of air.”
The two walked back to the rest of the crew without looking back, knowing that the scum of a traitor deserved it.
Day three is now over. Night three begins now and ends in 24 hours.

Re: The Wolf Game - Stranded in space - Day Four
Chef Cabbagepatch woke up an hour earlier than everyone else as he always did in order to have time to whip up breakfast. If one more person asked for spaghetti for breakfast he intended to murder them! He hummed a joyful tune as he began preparing his kitchen. It was much easier to cook for the decreasing number of crew members. Although he seemed completely at ease he was always prepared for trouble and only a fool would attack him in his kitchen. After all he was surrounded by knives so he wasn't worried. He was extra prepared this morning as he had a strange feeling something would happen. Few knew that their chef had served as a marine for many years before retiring to the kitchen.
Just as he began frying some sausages he heard the door to the kitchen opening. Somehow he knew, even before he saw who had entered, that they had come for him. Whether they learned of his history as a marine or they just didn't like his cooking he didn't know and didn't stop to ask. He ducked under a table and when he came out he was holding a fully loaded assault rifle. The two traitors stood frozen in shock for a moment before scrambling in separate directions to avoid the hail of fire that came from the chef.
The traitors had weapons of their own and didn't hesitate before going trigger happy on the old veteran. Their shots bounced off his army grade personal shield generator harmlessly. Even if the marine wasn't in his power armor he was still very dangerous. The noise they were making trying to kill each other would probably wake up the entire crew. Admitting defeat the two traitors ran for it before they were caught in the open by everyone else. The Chef didn't bother to try and catch them. He just waited in his kitchen until the rest of the crew showed up, inevitably attracted by all the racket. Then he began telling his story.
Night three is now over. Day four begins now and ends in 48 hours.
