Re: [NEXUS] WATCHTOWER 14: Now a Family Business.
Waterstrider stiffens at the plan, his fur raising a bit, but he forces himself to stay calm, for Brand's sake, and the sake of the slaves. "I...I'll do it." He says quietly. Cessie and Brand will know how hard it was for him to agree to such a thing.

"I still know how to sneak and be quiet though. Some things there too big, too dangerous, have to avoid them. Need full tribe to kill them, if no other way." Marcus shivers slightly, recalling a particularly unpleasant encounter his tribe had with a gargantuan land-squid. Damn thing could uproot a tree and swing it like a weapon with each tentacle. Trying to fight a 30-foot tall monstrosity tossing and swinging trees all over the place was...not easy.
"I would like to see what Nexus has to hunt though, yes."
"Well, we got plenty of big and dangerous here..." Adir attests. "Got a weapon for our little test?"

[Firing Range -> Boris's Room]
Boris looks confused at the room being said to be his, not theirs. He ponders what that could mean as he heads into his room, giving a somewhat perplexed smile to Cornelia.

Boris's Room
Cornelia's set a plate for him, laiden with bacon, sausage and eggs. She stands a little to the side, hands clasped in front of her apron. At the perplexion, she just smiles. "Somethin' on yer mind?"

Marcus nods. In one hand he holds a weapon consisting of a simple wooden handle, and a long, curved bone, possibly a rib from some oversized animal. The weapon's been given a serrated edge. Must have taken quite some work to turn it from a simple bone into something that at least looks rather...dangerous.

Re: [NEXUS] WATCHTOWER 14: Now a Family Business.
"Oh... nice. That should work." Adir walks over to his weapon-wall - where a few guns are hung up for display - and retrieve his hunting bow. The stag's decided to go primitive right along with Marcus.
While Adir shoulders his quiver, he commences an explanation. "The thing we're hunting is called a Fessenoch. It's a fungus - basically a big, walking mushroom. They get real old, these things. Take decades to grow, and not many make it to adulthood. The oldest ones can get fifty feet tall. We're not huntin' one of those, but this won't be easy as it is. Of course, if you can kill it, the rest of Watch should be a cakewalk." The stag claps Marcus on the shoulder and heads for the door. "If you're all set, we can probly go right now."

"I said I'm a half dragon now. This kind is a mix between Dragons and humans taking most of there best qualitys. As you see a half dragon still has the wings the tail and the scales from his dragon part, while the body is most taken from the human part."
It's hard to describe things, but I assume she just pointed out the obviouse things.

"Might I see your dragon, thennn?" Dar says, not getting the phrasing quite right. His request should still be obvious, however.

I don't think she got what he wants, but after all she is a full dragon and just preferes half dragon from.
"My Dragon? I could show you my dragon form, but I don't know what you want to tell me. If I'm right we need to head outside."
So Outside the building or still indside. It's up to you.

Hooray for bows!
Considering the nature of the thing they're gonna be hunting, Marcus is wishing he had some other weapons to pick from. His tribe had a nice stack of things made from the various beasties they killed. Most weapons were shared among the tribe, for anyone to use, but folks always had one or two prized weapons.
Marcus's sword-ish thing was one of his. His bow was the other.
Still, sword-ish thing it'll have to be. Probably just means there'll be a lot more running away involved than usual in fighting this thing.
Marcus doesn't go for all that honour nonsense. When you're fighting all kinds of weird mutated things, you have to be willing to stop stabbing and start running at a moment's notice.
Anyway, he nods and turns to head out, "Yes, let's go."

[Courtyard]
There is a wisp of pure electric energy entering the courtyard which suddenly materialize into Sarget, Sakura, a electric blue-skinned naked woman, a burned dryad and changed Harnel laying on the ground.
"There we go. All safe and sound." Old Oaks says as she looks around. "Pretty interesting place you got here."
"Pretty..." Aska mumbles, holding on to Sakura.

The master person is ostentatious enough about their slaves that the temple people feel no need to keep their own hidden. Squiggles does recon, WS and Brand liaise with the slaves and find out how many there are and where they are located.
Assume that was all converted to IC speak.

"You're a brave man Watersider, know you don't need to do this. But if you do I honor your sacrifice and courage." Cessie knew something about wolfen after all.
She makes a short bow before the wolfen and avoids grinning as she knew what that implied among them. "Do you know a wolfen by the name of Promise possibly?"

DC is quiet for a bit, nodding to himself before he speaks up again. "Well, we have a recon plan. What of the actual breakout? I can't say I'm very familiar with the Cult of Dalachrech's capabilities, and I'm not going to suggest anything until I have a better understanding of the situation."

Re: [NEXUS] WATCHTOWER 14: Now a Family Business.

Wenomir nods. I think we'll need a distraction so our people who are inside can take the slaves away. Maybe some of us will go there and directly confront Terrowin. When the cult's attention is focused on that group, the infiltrators might be able to rescue the slaves in the confusion.

Proves that it isn't a physical summons.
Which takes out a touch of frantic-ness Reviline had here, but doesn't entirely disprove any danger of the situation.
Shame she can't just dispel magicks, like other people she knows.
The flowers seem to be feeding properly and causing malfunctions...so perhaps now would simply be the time to place Keep Away.
See if she can wait this out.
So, in the face of the dragon's charge, she resumes moving around the arena, a rather brisk (hasty) pace.
Frosting the ground over a little so she can slide, for more speed, might in the works too...
((Sorry to make you wait: I've been very busy. Constant Essays are terrible.))
The Arena
Jakob would probably laugh and commend her for original thinking if she just dispelled it. Then he would summon an actual monster. :smalltongue:
At this point, Jakob will notice that he's getting less mana, but chalks it up to mana screw. Still, he seems to be lightly affected as the stands and crowd fade away, as well as most of the illusions that aren't the Dragon or directly related to the dragon.
In any case, the dragon is incredibly fast for something of its size, but the immense momentum behind its movements results in poor agility. If Reviline takes advantage of this, she should be able to run circles around the thing.
However, the faded regions do not seem to be spreading. If anything, they might be a bit smaller...

Re: [NEXUS] WATCHTOWER 14: Now a Family Business.
Ilpholin returns, right after the wedding. She needs to get dressed back into her catsuit, train a while to help her get used to her tail and the balance, shower, drink that vial she got and go to sleep.
But for now she simply goes to work on one and two.

Re: [NEXUS] WATCHTOWER 14: Now a Family Business.
Barracks --> Departing
And off to Outside they go, presumably. I'll post their momentarily.
Boris & Cornelia's Room
"Oh, um, it's still cookin'. I thought ye'd be hungry, so I made yours first..." Cornelia shrugs simply.
Barracks --> Courtyard
Dar nods his bowled head. "I would like that, yeeees." Perhaps they can head outside.
-
Re: [NEXUS] WATCHTOWER 14: Now a Family Business.
((That's okay, I've had plenty of distractions myself.))
[The Arena]
Reviline takes note of the vanishing observers, but grumps a bit at the shrinking dragon-illusion-death.
That certainly isn't helpful.
Things aren't going to be simple here, it seems. So it's time to use that energy she's been sapping. Her only real offensive option here.
Or, only one that would be immediately useful against a dragon, real or no.
Right then.
Stop moving, and it'll catch up. That'll either be lethal, or just fail the test.
So! Keep running in circles, raise one fist, grasp at an invisible handle...
A transparent blue line appears within her fingers, stretching off towards the dragon and splitting to head off towards the two flowers.
Or rather, from the two flowers.
Reviline snaps the line like a whip as she gives a sharp direction change, to help keep away from the dragon.
As she snaps the "whip", the two-flowers attached to the dragon alter their purpose slightly. Instead of just idly sapping energy, they'll send out little "energy spikes", seeking to rupture into the stores of the magic and make it hemorrhage the energy.
Much quicker than draining, more painful on living creatures, and if severe enough, a lasting crippling for mages.

She will try to take a place away from the entrace way, just to avoid people getting afraid.^^
Well and after taking some distance she shapechanges into a full grown black dragon. Since I leake the good ability to describe it I use THIS. Just asuming her the size of a one family house. After a few moments(if nothing happens). She will turn back.
"That is what people call dragon."

"And we will respect your wish." Cessie replies with a nod. "Have we decided who's going to play the role of 'master' yet though? I like to do this with as few casualties as possible, and then I mean from both sides. These people should go to prison for what they have done."

I volunteered Phoenix. He'd be willing to act as slavemaster, if asked. Of course, conflicting deadtime schedules would be an issue, but they would be anyway, no matter what role Phoenix gets placed in.
