Of course not. In fact, I want to make a comic in that plot and have no idea what to do next because of the stupid train situation and the fact I have no idea what's going on.

They're just off panel.
You think I'd be able to fit the entire cast of ABR in a single frame? :smallannoyed:
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
There was only my character, oliver, the detta, and iceddragon's character (not sure of name).
That's hardly the entire cast.

Hey, welcome Lerky. Here's the link to the first page of the archives.
Here's the link to the ABR wiki, a bit of work should dig up all the info you need. Any other questions, let us know.

It's sort of a metaphor.
Still, I couldn't fit them all into the same frame.

Check page 1000, I gave it a pretty darn big shot.

Do you mean the 1000th comic? Because it looks like that was written by Calamity.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Well, Q, the hangar is at the very bottom of the ship, directly under the bridge. In addition, you'd need to slip past the guards to get there. Consider putting either "After some super sneaking and fighting" in the top left corner, or going back and adding a filler comic.
Also, It's quite easy to fit the entire cast in. All you need to do is select everyone and click the lock on the corner. Then you go to % and check the scale stroke with size box. Then you type a number to scale them down and get a zoomed out sh- Oh, right, you don't use any SVG program.

Oh. I forgot about that. I'll edit my comic.

It's not that I CAN'T put them all in the same box. It's that I DON'T WANT TO and that it's not really necessary.

Or you can just CTRL-Click on the diagonal resize arrow.

That's imprecise, though. With typing values, you can get exactly the size you want.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Use the ctrl + w to resize it then.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
@Tired n' Drowzy: Never thought about it that way. I've always eyeballed it.
@Memnarch: That killed my window...

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Wait, are we talking inkscape or mspaint here? the ctrl + w goes with paint; for inkscape, click the lock next to the dimensions at the top, select the stuff you want to resize, then adjust using a corner.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
I was under the assumption that we were talking about Inkscape.
Also. I just started reading a fairly silly-concepted book: "The Physics of Star Trek." The first few chapters (dealing with messing around with space/time) hurt my brain...

I never listend to all the jibber-jabber in Star Trek: The Next Generation. It hurt my brain, too.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
It also talks about the origional Star Trek...
It proves scientificly that, in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, the belting around the sun does not create the gravitational forces neccessary for the Enterprise to utilize time travel.

I don't really give a damn about the original Star Trek. Or any other Star Trek for that matter. Except maybe Deep Space Nine.

Our question exactly TnD.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
So here's a question for people:
Should I follow the Simbel probe to it's logical conclusion, or endeavour to make another Leroy & Salmon comic?
Be forewarned: Either option will likely take me a few days to compose, I've got a lot to do tomorrow and a driving test on Thursday, and it's my first week back after half-term to boot.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Hold on a bit with the probe, I've been working in secret (today) about that Simbul probe.. I hope to get it done this eve.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Does the probe have to take place immediately after 863 or whatever?

No, it doesn't, mostly it just needs to go after #863 so we actually see them ordering the probe launch.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
so then we have 863a and 863b?
Leroy Salmon comic would be good.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
I finished up a short Simbol probe video. I also put the link on the normal thread.
I probably should have put some music behind that, but I would not know what to put there. Voice is not fantastic either, but it is getting late here.
Provided me with some experience with flash, though it is very meh to see so much time being invested to produce a 22 second video (large part of both afternoon and evening). Oh well, decent enough first short movie I would say. Though the graphics are sharper with a normal flash file.
I hope you do not mind the use of the Probe in the movie, Lyinginbedmon. But it is a relatively simple object to use, unlike characters.
Comments/criticism are very welcome.

Attention all people who have made comics for Sprite Wars recently!
I wish to update the archive, but I've put it off for so long that there are many comics lost in the many pages of the art thread.
So please, if you can help make it easier for me, please repost all the comics you've made that aren't in the archive here (preferably in a spoiler) so that I can find them and stick them into the archive.

I might make a TABR comic soon. Frankly cause I have ZERO motivation to make a SDSB or FFF comic.
Here's my idea for my SDSB (Zero will GAH!)
Spoiler
Show
Blue Dude with bombs: *looks into bag* All I see is three cents, a paperclip, and half a tuna sandwich.
Kobold and Blue Dude both look at That dude with the suit and cigar.
Dude With Cigar: What, these cigars are expensive! Do you know how much it costs to make the little crosses on them?
Blue Dude: I'm sorry, but until you pay me, I'm going to need to follow you around, and you'll pay me 10% of all of your money earned, until you pay off your debt.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Friends. ABRers. Countrymen. Lend me your ears.
We cannot let skum like Omega and Onasuma (no offense) take our plots! Without them, I'd have nothing to do! The ABR plots are pretty much the only things that keep me coming back to the playground forums!
So please, help me fight back. All who have ever made a plot comic, all who have made a backstory for their characters really worked on and thought out, those who have added to the wiki.......
*gets on horse*
They can take our character's lives (in non-canon), but they'll never take it in-canon (Or take our freedom)!
Who's with me?! :furious:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
Well shall see. :smallamused:
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIII, No Plot for YOU!
I...am markedly vexed.
And do you know why?
It's because of Omega and Onasuma going on about the "True ABR". This is the "True ABR". It has evolved from the mindless slaughter of the old days to a far higher level. It's not as though you bemoan Australopithecus for driving out the regular old monkeys, or for each successive stage of our own evolution for getting further than the last one. You don't see a gorilla and shout "Look! A True Human!"
There's a reason that so many people became involved in the plot. It's because they enjoyed it more, the feeling of contributing their own efforts to a whole much larger than themselves*, rather than churning out one-panel "RARGH I SHOT YOU" drivel, and creating something with its own audience, separate from the participants.
Now, violence still has a definite place in the plot, but it is more refined, more sophisticated. Much like comparing primitive rock-hurling fights to the duelling of the middle ages on.
You're welcome to partake in these baser killings, but calling it the "True ABR" is a misnomer of the highest possible calibre.
*Note: I'm generalising based on my own experience.

*claps sarcastically*
There is nothing to be vexed about. I am for the mindless killing; either your down or your not. There is no confusion there.
Now your opinion has been read and is noted.
But the True ABR is only random kills the original. If you want a Plot, make a fracking backstory or something generic like that. No Plots, I'm glad you enjoy 3 Mains Plots and various Side Plots, but that is not what TABR is about. From the beginning I remember talk about teams, then we said "no teams". Now there is a Plot and now people are saying "no plots" and your saying that is what ABR has become and should just accept it? Hah, I laugh at your feeble, feeble logic.
And I'm sick and tried of "Non-Cannon" and "Cannon" rules. I'll follow the TABR rules.
I am for the mindless killing; either your down or your not. Death to all those who oppose the TABR.
And I shall be the mass-random-serial-killer. Fear me and all that I stand for. :smallamused:
