I've never had beer or anything like that before, and I'm not really sure I'd want to. I'd have to find the right moment.

Where I am you can marry, drive and drink the moment you turn 18... well not drive, you gotta pass a test and loads of bureaucracy.
In my case home is the opposite actually, since nobody drinks except my mother very very rarely; with my father and I being both abstemious we have high end alcohol of every kind in the cellar but only ever pulled out in very rare occasions. On the other hand alcohol comes in every anniversary, or birthday or Christmas, resulting in a growing supply which will most likely age and then rot without ever being consumed.

Ah, that's what the US has. You can drive at 15 ... And you can marry here at 18. It's just not common.

Sounds nice. The first thing I'm doing when I can go out and buy liquor for myself and drink with friends legally is making Skittles Vodka.

Well... marrying with a civil judge is possible in a car and the alcohol level of the driver can reach a given threshold (which is ridiculously low) but still; it's technically possible to do the three at once for a very small time span before your blood level of alcohol becomes prohibitive or the wedding ends.

I know people who married at 16 actually, you just need parental approval.

High BAC, getting married. Close enough.

I'm not sure how that works here.

OK, not the first thing, but the first alcohol related thing.

Well, there's a thread or two which could prove quite illuminating then. :smallwink:

I prefer ginger ale myself. There's this one Kentucky-based one which sometimes bleeds over into the surrounding states which is the best. It's also one of the ones that goes well with bourbon for mixing.

Some minors can get married with parental approval in certain states, or at least it's happened in the past without everyone involved being jailed, IIRC.

In terms of regular organs I've had more luck; there even used to be an organ shop nearby which I'd visit with relative frequency until it went out of business justifiably due to the excessive pricing.
The organ is not that different from the piano except for the number of pedals it has and the fact that there is no such thing as a minor mistake; once you get the hang that your roots are in the pedals, the harmony without root is in the left and the melody in the right, it all is smooth sailing. If you ever felt you needed more sound while playing and wanted some extra hands, the organ is glorious.
Nowadays I have to make due with a setting of a fake pedal arrangement linked to a synth bank to simulate the bass pedals, and a UltraNova mounted on top of a Clavinova
You have a studio set-up for yourself, do you? What fun that must be!
Is it as righteous as I imagine to sit at the organ and control that monstrously sublime wall of sound? To feel the bass pipes rattling your very sternum? Sometimes I listen to the Dorian with headphones and raise the volume until it draws blood... and my very soul thrashes in torturing ecstasy as I witness the making and unmaking of Creation.

The city I live in and its people can be so unspeakably ugly sometimes: I do my best to stay wrapped in a comforting cocoon of beautiful things and fineness for the senses. One day I will move to a better neighbourhood and my lifestyle will be as wings instead of a cocoon. For now the opulence keeps my heart afloat.

I'm sure. This also reminds me that my hometown is one of the top in the nation when it comes to teen pregnancies. Glad I got out.

Also, wuff. @_@ Seeing "teen pregnancy" always makes part of me think back to high school and how the worst fight that ever happened while I was there was between two girls who got knocked up by, reputedly, the same guy. I am a horrible, horrible Coidzor.

Anyone who plays WoW and has MoP will understand this if they also love Pokemon.
Pet battles: Aka Pokemon. I can't help but remember those days when starting out with a Pikachu in Yellow, and trying to beat an Onyx with it. So I went back through youtube searching all the old pokemon themes... Ah, nostalgia.
And then BAM! I found an addon so that I can listen to pokemon music (of my choice) whenever I get into a pet battle.
@Ele, I'll be doing the dishes soon. Will PM you when I'm about to leave/am leaving.

Awesome. I never got into WoW because screw MMOs with a railroad spike they're boreing as hell for me. But yay Pokemon! Technicaly in the newest gens you could take down an Onix with Pikachu since you could teach it like, Iron Tail.

GIMMICKS! Mindless meaningless gimmicks that exist solely to add new flavour to ancient gum!
And you'd better hurry along.
