Huh. 43 showed as unclaimed when I checked, let me fix that. >.>
And yeah, Lyradis is helping. I'd try to talk to Guilder, but other plans conflict, I'm afraid.

Good gosh, why does everything come out the wrong way? I did not mean that I would invade you, I was thinking of a trade deal later on. Sorry.
EDIT: I'd be open to letting HW residents hang around in my territory until I find a place for them to stay away from their enemies (probably somewhere near inverted Sri Lanka).

I'd like to second Logic's comments about standing armies.
A mechanic that gradually diminishes the size of a player's army doesn't make sense when recruitment happens on a rotating basis. At the moment, the proposed mechanic carries the connotation that each soldier in any given unit stays with the unit for their entire working life. This makes sense for highly specialized units (for example, I consider 1 unit of berundas to consist of ten bird/rider pairs), but it falls apart when you consider something like 1 land unit of 1000 infantry. They would be refreshing their numbers as soldiers die, are reassigned, retire, or abandon their posts... why establish a deadline when the entire unit disbands?
EDIT: Morph, did you get my PM yesterday? I accidentally sent two due to forum sluggishness/errors.

Actually, I might take Guilder up on that. :sabine:

Thought my whole network of nasty little surprises in Zargrim would cause too much strain, yeah.
Also. She. Why would she need a return ticket. But yes, that.

Hey guys, I missed something. How does Guilder have ships in the Central Sea? (Or whatever we are calling it).
Also, the Jeweled Cities have always welcomed refugees from war. We are a peaceful nation, after all.

Sam specifically had ships built in the central sea when it became obvious that they didn't connect.

Ah, no problem. I probably missed that in the IC thread. As a sailing nation, I should be more aware.....

There's a Grand Coalition combined port, which allows us to all place ships on that side. Which reminds me... we should probably have one on the East, too.

Eh... I mean, I guess, but it's not like we're expecting you to remember everything about everyone.

I thought the colonies were the future option? Basically the escape route.

Taking help from the region who has every reason to want you on the other side of the world instead.

Sure, but your motivations are directly in conflict with the heartwaste, who you are basically driving out of their homelands...
To accept boats from you would be like...helping a burglar lift your heavy TV and move it to his car.

Yeah. Secret action and bribing their troops and inventors off.
And taking help from my new allies who are bound by treaty to not attack me for years anyway? :smalltongue:

Maybe more like imminent domain. The government takes your house, but gives you some cash so you can try to get a new house.

Wait, wait, wait. C'nor, who ever said the Sympol were a short lived race?
I certainly didn't.
Anyway, for any of those STILL confused, here's a little summary of the war so far.
Spoiler: Summary
Show
13 thousand........
Daaaayum
Thirteen thousand,
Soldiers? Hold up!
Thirteen thousand.....
Yo, that's alot of Rats....
Thirteen thousand, huh, well, if I won, the war now, tommorow, well I know, I wouldn't bother going on no killing spree. I'd make a little resort, and pay the entrance fee. Then maybe if yah lucky you'll stay friends with me. I'll be a Rat man, bigger then Nyallana's daddy. Doomkhan and me on the links, and he's MY caddy! My lieutenants winning wars, I'm going from poor to more dough, keep the bling, I want the brass ring like FRODO!
Uh oh, here he goes, Mr. Braggadocio, next thing you know he's lying like Pinnochio!
Yah scared of the bull stay out the Rodeo
Man I got more hoes then a post board in Raanekio
Ooooh you better stop fighting, yah not ready, it's gonna get hot and heavy and you're already sweaty.
Yo yo yo yo-
Yo yo, I'm sorry is that an answer? Shut up, go home, and pull yah damn pants up.
As for you Mr. Frodo of the Shire, thirteen units ain't enough to retire.
Come on, I got enough to knock your ass of its axis.
You'll have a knapsack full of jack after taxes!

What song did you base this off of? Or did you just write us up a rap battle?
Either way I'm impressed. I'd just like to hear the backbeat : P

Eh, well, fair enough. Just figured because they're based on Skaven and ratfolk. Still, point applies even if the example doesn't hold...
Besides, I'm not giving up the Heartwaste. Guilder isn't allowed to attack me anymore. I'm just planning for later.

Damnable Region Forty-three... I am so conquering them when I have the time.
Stupid war... Getting in the way of my vengeance...
Oh, and C'nor, please note that a whole bunchcouple of people are colonising Region Twenty-six. It may not be advisable to throw your hand into the mix unless you're sure you can win the rolls, especially as it's progressed to the second round of rolling.
Forty-one on the other hand, no one's going after that at the moment.
Just stay out of region forty-three. My Regent has in character reasons to go full out conquest on the place, turn over every stone, examine every haystack in detail and rifle through every person's possessions in search of her missing brother, who may or may not have an unfortunate accident afterwards.

96 Thousand from the musical In the Heights.
I was considering going more in depth, but we'd need probably another round of World Telluris War I for better material, and random wacky events from morph.

I considered doing so at first, but having a bunch of short lived rulers would just be a massive pain in the butt and really annoying. Plus it'd mean I couldn't raise any stat effectively without getting really lucky and single mindedly focusing on it.
Plus, being anthropomorphic rats clad in heavy armor who live in mountains and fight monsters means they're different enough to not have to stick with every rat cliche, so I decided to abandon the short life span one.

I just noticed I hadn't updated the OP with the map from the Round 7 opening post yet. :smallsigh: Sorry folks.
For reference:
C'nor, some important notes:
Quote:

Instead, every round the head GM will look at the players’ actions and see if anyone has done something special that might advance the game as a whole, or something really ingenious fluff-wise. The head GM will then make a judgment call to give those players an increase in Luck. This is an attribute increase in addition to the normal attribute increases decided by the player, because no actions are directly Luck-related.
As for the regions, 41, 42, 53 and 54 are all up for colonization. (43 is up for conquest. As are 51 and 52.) Some of the others are as well, but are already in their second round and thus could only be colonized through military means instead, which is not possible without an army.

Okay, so the War on the Heartwaste is resolved? The War on Zargrim still on?
So you won't need my unit of ships I've kept for you? Okay. I'll put it to use then elsewhere. (DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUN)

Erm... I probably won't be, just because if my doggoned low Luck score kills me twice, might as well not tempt it a third time.
NEW MAP! Dang, it's huge now... Can't wait to see the whole world... :smalleek:

Rules are rules because they have exceptions. :smallwink:
(I just prefer to have close to 0 exceptions to any rule. Makes things more consistent. Which is good, because as a person I'm not so much.)

It has been huge since a while. The map was also included in the Round 7 opening post (spoilered for its size, of course), just never updated to this thread.
