Vincent goes right up to Gloom and presses A!
Obviously this should mean something. Supposedly. :smallconfused:
Gloom immediately offers the standard greeting he's been programmed to offer. Hello. I am Gloom. What's your name? His words are slightly bored, as his dark eyes study Vincent.
Molly wanders over to the two boys, faintly tick-tocking. "You have. Funny hair." she tells Vincent.
"I'm Vincent." He seems about ready to push A again when Molly wanders up and insults his hair.
"Hey! My hair gives me super strength! And you have a funny... funny... key-thing in your back!" :smallannoyed:
He's not the best insulter around. Best to leave things like that to Moff and his illegitimate child he had with himself.
"It's not funny. It. Makes me work." "How strong are. You?" Molly asks.
De pretty gorls were busy amongst themselves. :smalltongue:
Jamie, meanwhile, approaches the small group!
...
...the moment Vincent recognises her, of course, will be quite...amusing...
"Oh, there you are..." she starts, addressing Molly with a smile...
...and then she spots The Hair.
"...oh. You. You're students here too?" she calls to Vincent and Caroline.
"Just a second, let me check." Vincent pauses the game! Blue screens pop up with information, filling up field of vision! Vincent goes to the status line and presses A! Vincent takes a look at his strength score and then presses start again to unpause the game.
"84 right now."
"GAH!" Vincent points dramatically at Jamie. The League of Doom's Princess Power Squad's leader!" WHY DO THEY KEEP FOLLOWING HIM?! Oh right. Recurring nemesis.
"Hi. Jamie." Molly says, then is disappointed by his strength score. Or rather because it's a meaningless number, but Vincent may well see it different. "But can you lift. That chair. Over your head?" She points to a stuffed armchair.
Jamie rolls her eyes at Vincent. "It's Good League of Good, silly. And you didn't answer my question. Hi, Molly." She smiles at her friend, wondering what the deal is with 84 chairs.
"That's just your cover." Vincent retorts, still not answering the question. :smallannoyed:
He looks over at the chair. "That? Yeah, probably." If he can wield a sword wider, taller, and heavier than he is effortlessly in one hand, then he can probably lift a stuffed armchair. He doesn't go to do it right away of course. They haven't double-dogged-dared him yet.
"Only probably? Betcha you can't," Jamie says, grinning at Vincent. "Or maybe you're waiting for somebody to sit in it, first?"
"I was just waiting for someone heavy to volunteer. Like you." :smallannoyed:
Vincent... that was just mean. :smallfrown:
He walks over to the chair and motions for Jamie to get in it.
Molly jumps in the chair next to Jamie. She's about two and a half times what an organic girl her size would weigh, because of the machinery.
:smallannoyed: "Hey, I'm not as heavy as you are," Jamie retorts to Vincent.
:smalltongue:
And Jamie does indeed hop into the chair, scooting over to make room for Molly! "So, ready for the ride?" she asks Molly with a grin.
"I'm all muscle. Of course I'm heavier." Seriously, he kinda is in a rather exaggerated way. Muscles EVERYWHERE.
He goes to the back of the chair, bends down and lifts with both of his arms. If it had just been the chair it woulda been easy. Chair and Jamie woulda been alright. Chair and Jamie and Molly make this rather a challenge. Still, he refuses to be so easily beat, so lifts it slowly up in the air and over his head. He makes it, but it's clear he's struggling to do so and some wobbling is occurring.
Going to pull a hernia doing that, Vincent.
Jamie eeps, holding tightly to the chair and to Molly as they all wobble in the air!
"Wheee! You did it!" she cheers, giggling cheerfully.
Anchor will also come up to the group of people. Nothing else to do but pick up that useless fencing outfit.
She'll try to walk up behind Vincent and tap him on the shoulder with her staff.
"Hi there."
Vincent is startled cause he's kinda busy concentrating and all. "GAH!" And backwards he falls, chair and all.
Ouch.
Don't worry. He's an RPG character. It probably won't kill him.
Unless it's one of those text based RPGs where everything kills you. That'd kinda suck.
...and as the chair falls, Jamie screams, trying to grab hold of Molly to make sure the clockwork girl lands on top of her!
Less likely to break that way.
Molly grabs hold of Jamie, does an acrobatic leap off the chair holding her, then pushes the chair in the air so it won't land on Vincent, all moving faster than she's been seen to before.
Her tick-tock motor is going very loudly now.
*insert attempts where appropriate*
Oh hey. The chair doesn't fall on Vincent and smoosh him. With any luck it'll fall on Anchor instead. Serves her right for specifically pulling that stunt. :smallyuk:
"Ow. Everyone alright?"
"Y-y-yeah, I t-t-t-think s-so..." Jamie stammers, staring at Molly in wide-eyed shock-and-awe as she scrambles to her feet. "W-what happened? Also, wow!"
"EmergencyMode." Molly says, her voice running faster and more high pitched. Her key is unwinding a lot faster than usual. "Ican'toperateinitverylong."
"He fell over. You are all alright?" Anchor says, clearly unbothered by the chair falling on and through her.
"You attacked me!" :smallmad:
Cause, you know. Tapping on the shoulder is totally an attack.
Vincent stands up, shooting a glare at Legion of Doom Power Princess #2, the emo. "Thanks Molly." He totally learned her name by paying attention when Jamie said it. :smalltongue:
Dr.Rato is in the teachers lounge preparing his next lesson.
Ilyena is back in the lounge. He nods to his coworkers and sets to work on his laptop.
SE23 follows people randomly in deadtime-induced wanderings. The boy undeadtimes where all the other students are. He raises an eyebrow at Vincent and Caroline.
"Hi there. Who are you?"
He's got a pistol in his belt! Why has no one confiscated the child's dangerous weapon yet? Grr, stupid school of super-powered magic children.
Caroline frowns back at Gloom. It's not nice to stare, you know.
When Vincent is almost smooshed by the chair, Caroline rushes to his side. Are you alright?
She didn't attack you. She looks over to Anchor. But it wasn't very nice scaring him with that big heavy chair over his head. They could've been hurt.
Caroline looks at the new kid. She holds out her hand to him. I'm Caroline. And this is my boyfriend, Vincent.
