"Okay then,"
LoVoltage produces three acid green dots and tries to thumbs them against Tony's wrist. If they stick, he'll be flooded with synthetic opiates.
Tony is tranquilized and almost immediately stops thrashing. The opiates, however, knock him out and keep him from building a mental shield (if he would even be capable of protecting himself after the fact, of course), which allows the demonic energies to gain more influence over him.
[Cabin 8>?]
And Falcon follows!
(To where?)

[Infirmary]
Quinn rushes forwards as Tony starts convulsing...and goes to rest a hand on his forehead.
...yes, she's trying to enter his mind, right now. :smalleek:
Oops.
Well, the chances are he wouldn't have been able to put one up anyways.
Reinholdt sighs and hops up somewhere to watch. He hates these mind games.
"I wonder why this didn't happen to Quinn?" :smallconfused:
Well, Quinn didn't really get close enough to figure out the what, much less the why. It looks like Tony got attacked when he realized what was going on, because we just can't have simple exposition here.
Quinn will get thrown out of Tony's mind by the demonic power and deadtime. She can try again later, but FF needs to finish up some of this late schoolwork now.
[Infirmary]
And Quinn does, indeed, get chucked out of Tony's mind.
...and, somehow, gets physically thrown across the room, too.
Thump.
...predictable. :smalltongue:
Mikani rushes out of the Kitchenette to help her dazed mother up!
[Infirmary]
"Are you okay, Quinn?" Anchor asks, lurking half-in the wall beside them.
[Infirmary]
Reinholdt watches Quinn. Yep. "I'm going to go with the idea that we really aren't going to find out anything more here than we have already. We need to go to Tobias' world and investigate there. Starting with those evil gods he mentioned." Or something. They need to hunt for clues!
[Infirmary]
"That could be...problematic," Quinn says, rubbing her forehead.
...of course, Toby seems more open about being a King these days. :smalltongue:
"And yeah, I'm alright. Thanks, Anchor." Quinn smiles, as Mikani looks rather more doubtful about her mother's being OK than her mother is.
[Infirmary]
"I'm not surprised. But also officially out of ideas." Besides maybe putting Tony out of his misery.
[Infirmary]
"But what if he's right, Mrs. Quinn?"
[Infirmary]
"Well, in that case, I'll have to convince Toby that it has to be done."
Quinn shrugs, gives Reinholdt a look that might or might not say 'I might know what you're thinking about', and gets a glass of ice water.
As Mikani steps over torwards Allie. "Hey, think maybe you could help him any?" she asks.
[Infirmary]
"Might be that I could. What's wrong with him?"
"Demonic possession," Quinn says matter-of-factly. "...I think. Or at least demonic mental influence."
"What I want to know is how demonic attacks resulted from looking in someone who was touched by the divine? Aren't they anti-thesis of each other?"
"Maybe I could help. I could try to go in and fight it for him." Fighting possession with more possession works, right?
"Not really," Quinn explains. "Demonic power is simply a variant of divine energy with an especially Evil taint, at least, that's what I gathred from all of my studies. The most powerful demons are more powerful than the least powerful gods."
And of course it works! Fire with fire, and all that.
"Um, I'll...stand here in case anything goes wrong," Mikan offers.
Quinn would expound more, but her player is off to watch the Texans and Colts.
Luck is always helpful.
Anchor steps up to Ton(b)y, and takes off her sunglasses. "Can't have those around." She sets aside her staff as well, and takes off her glove, and the wire in her pocket that certainly isn't to garrote people with.
She tries to think how to sync with them while waiting for the deadtime to melt away.
[Infirmary]
Reelshka is staying in the back with her niece, watching the goings-on with a very worried expression.
[Infirmary]
Anchor notices Reelshka, just now. "Hi. Are you a faerie?"
[Elm Cabin]
"Oh, please. Elder Evils die just like the rest of them, they just take more killing."
And she closes her eyes, saying a quick prayer to Neirian, before plunging her Holy, Disrupting sword down into the hand!
((and we might want to wait for Lex. Not sure.)
---
[Infirmary]
Quinn watches with a distinct air of concern.
Mikani will hold Anchor's things for her, and look rather concerned as well!
[Infirmary]
Uh, no, she says. We're goblins. She points to her and her very tiny niece, who's a goblin girl 60 centimeters in height, with big floppy ears, big orange eyes, holding a molerat plushie.
[Infirmary]
Anchor looks confused. "So are you, or not?" Goblins are the same sort of thing, aren't they?
And she clearly finds the young goblin cute, as most young people are.
[Infirmary]
Reelshka scowls a little. Well, no, we're not. Goblins aren't faeries.
Brinika, for that is the little goblin's name, waves at Anchor.
[Infirmary]
"If you say so. I was sure that they were." Anchor waves back at Brinika.
Mikani giggles a little. "Brinika, this is Anchor, but I call her Allie. She's another of my best friends!"
[Infirmary]
Brinika perks up. Hi! It's super nice you meet you! Reelshka smiles and steps back.
