Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
We got a live one! Hyozo scries as horror ladies and gentlemen! That would be group Cpt. Soup, RSG, and Reinholdt.
Bobbie looks up from the bones to see Kitty hissing at something. He turns and sees a man he doesn't know. He looks for a while at him. "You are a bad man."

The Siblings wander into various rooms expoding and imploding plushies.

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Kitty sniffs. Its ears twitch. Something wasn't right.
Something interfered with the human senses. Something only Kitty could tell.
But the fiend was good. Even Kitty couldn't tell which of the two were lying. Which of the two deceived the humans. So it waited to see who would speak up first.
It glares at the still sleeping Captain. Maybe the Crimson Scholar got unlucky and was fooled into talking while the Soupy smelling pirate slept. Then again Baby Bobbie's voice did inexplicably change midway during the day. Maybe he got infected between those times? Guess Kitty will find out.
Kitty leaps at RedScholarGypsy its red eyes glowing, clawing and biting at Baby Bobbie's leg, it making that strange cackling hiss cats sometimes make.
"MEOWRRRLLLL!! Kssh Kssh Hisssssss!!"

*sigh* Your group is wrong, RedScholarGypsie, but I doubt I'll manage to convince anybody...

*clears throat* Wrong. Assuming they haven't been made to hurt the villagers even more, the fail roles probably only have the usual 75% chance of screwing things up, in addition, the commander could easily be on either team and just not making himself known yet (disclaimer: this is not a claim, I am not the commander). If you want an example of the significance of these factors, consider the fact that I was a fail role in both 2 and 3 but, due to the above factors, I do not believe I received an incorrect scry result in either game.

The paste eating kid notices the people looking at him. He doesn't know why they're looking at him, or what they erroneously think he is, but he feels very uncomfortable, and walks over to the teacher yet again.

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
As far as I know fails always disturb the scry, thus always screw it up. A commander would fix that, yes, and there's a small chance he was in said group.
EDIT: Oh, and the SEU claim. RedScholarGypsy.

So wait... does the SEU get notified when a fail disturbs a group just like when a horror does it?

I'm not sure about this one, but in previous editions, It's always been a 75% chance of causing a screw up. Trust me, I know how fail roles work in SEU by now. :smallsigh:

I never heard this before. Can we get a ruling on fails please. Whether it's a 100% chance or 75% chance?
edit: and im waiting for Murska's claim before i release his role. the bookworm, shadowhisper and I scried Murska.

Looking back on previous games, it seems that 2 was the only time that the rules stated a percentage for disturbances. 3 didn't give any specifics on how it worked, and neither did 4, although the fact that the description of the clumsy crew member seemed to boil down to "same as it's always been", which seems to support my belief that the fail role hasn't actually changed since 2.

Unless Happy suddenly have changed my rules, it's a 100 % chance that a fail will disturb a commando action unless the commander is in that group.
The agents and the commander will see horror and fails disturb.

Okay...where did this bandwagon come from? Aparrently Hyozo is definitely NOT
a horror with this much backing him up. If you want to lynch me, go for it, but I'm not a horror either. I'd hope I'd have shown enough face time to prove that I'm a bit smarter than to announce my own altered scry. Cpt. Soup gets my point, though odds are I'm dead with Reinholdt leading to my death. I just can't get any love from cats these days.

What do you expect? They're cats. :smalltongue:
Also, I think I'll follow the claim and go RedScholarGypsy.

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
well let me put this out there then.
Murska scried as a horror. Take that as you will. :smallamused:
-
Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Fails always disturb the group they are in.
Agents are told if their group was disturbed, but not whether it was a fail or a horror who did it.
-
Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
So let me understand the rules correctly, given that we now have two Horror scries. The possible ways of creating such a scry are
1) Target is Horror
2) Commando group has a Fail in it and not the commando leader
3) Commando group has a Horror in it and not the commando leader, and disturbs the scry.
In group Hyozo, RSG, Soup, and Reinholdt there is a horror/fail.
In group Bookworm, Shadowhisper, Deathslayer7, and Murska there is a horror/fail.
Also, I guess I should have noticed, but Reinholdt 'knew' we had a false positive on Hyozo, yet said nothing until after I posted. But I wasn't looking for stuff like that. I thought we had another kill.:smallyuk:
I think someone else should step up for a night or two and take Murska's place, if no one minds. This could easily be a ploy to distrub villager unity, but it is Murska. I have no doubt he'd keep taking this role over several games just waiting for the time he has it and is a horror. But I could be giving him too much credit.:smallamused:
I say this not expecting to be listened to now, but when I'm dead and it's shown I'm not a horror. Could be a fail; it fits my track record recently.:smallannoyed:

Seems like either myself or Soup disturbed the scry, unless Reinholdt is role-pretending. Are SEU agents known to each other? And we should maybe protect reinholdt as well for a while.

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
seu agents are blind as is the commander as are horrors. That much i know from SEU 4.
-
Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Yes. Every role in SEU starts blind.

As I was the Commander in SEU III, I can also confirm that they are blind.

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Georgia hugs the kitty more. She overheard that nasty evnafets say she couldn't be smart. She was smart. She knew she was! She decided that she would get that evnafets. She'd get Mrs Wade, or Dominique, or someone. But the big men took Dominique away. And she hadn't seen Mrs Wade for a while. Maybe she went off with the big men too. She had an idea! She'd throw the plushie kitty at evnafets, that's what she'd do. Slowly she snuck up on him. ((RSG))

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Once again, we see a lynch that doesn't make sense. Hyozo probably isn't a wolf (not that I'd know), and neither and RSG probably isn't either.
But someone on both bandwagons is.
-
Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Thank you Andre. I'm sorry, but assuming I am a Horror, why the hell would I be the one to start the bandwagon? And If I'm a fail, well, yea, I suck, but then just keep me out of squads; shouldn't be too hard. But I'm not really going to bother arguing, as the sheep have bah'ed. :smallyuk:

Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Cpt. Soup is quiet and could also be responsible.
-
Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
That's cuz I've been inactive. So is it possible for a group to fail on it's own? or does it require a horror disturbing or a paste eater presence to fail?
I suppose I'll also be turning on RedScholarGypsy, what with the Hyozo scry disturbed and I don't want to be killed myself.
-
Re: SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108
Well, I'm suspect of Cpt. Soup, myself.
