Aurangh's Deathbringer IC
Saxifrage As you open your eyes, the pain on the back of your head flares hot and stunning, the blood in your neck dried up, instinctively you try to reach with a hand and realize you have been bound. Your eyes clear but there's little else to see than shadows dancing against the wall of a cave some fifty feet away. Then you remember kneeling near the Khorotas River two days away from Tarantia and feeling the pain. then, Blackness. No signal of the woman you met on the road, you know shouldn't have trusted her.

Dhom knows the giant never leaves the cave, he lives, feeds and does its bodily needs here. The floor is unworked, and in some parts it considered difficult terrain, but not where the giant lives.
The creature: The giant is not a giant, just a very large Troglodite with a head the size of a barrel of ale and long thick arms that make his knuckles graze the floor.

Karnn Dhom wakes to the racket of the cult's game, a sacred game, but of great noise. The cave is dark and damp, a bad place. No sun. So Karnn Dhom sleeps, at day, at night… At all times of no hunt. But there's something new, something fresh in here with her. Her curled body straightens and twists. The leash is tight. No good. She twists on, out of it, loose. She must know. She clambers close to the other body, she leans in, nostrils flared, tongue flashing in and out, almost touching the other. Greatscars. she lets her breath come out, hissing. Shaman's scars. Weird things of weird folk. Smell of tall rocks. In and out the tongue flicks. Sit still, very still. the tattooed woman is cautioned. The cult hunts; but her skin is true. Theirs isn't. Perhaps it's time to find a crack and slip away. Dhom's bent form twists and turns, to look at the spears.

Finn woke up and shook his head. This was not the forest he had called home, and he growled like a beast, unsure of what was happening. He would look to the beast and look around and get his bearing before noticing the makeshift arena and that he was with another that he had not seen before.
He would then make a fist as he knew it was fight or die in the forest, and he had a feeling it was the same here. He would dodge the attack the best he could.
He would nod. "sounds like a plan he would say to him and would move, trying to get into position. Once the other guy got its attention, he would shift into a position where he was sure the creature's attention was on the other guy and launch his attack on it.

She suspects no trickery, and doesn't fear or mind it. That is one large, warm body, easy to sense, to keep track of. She grabs a spear and tests the edge of the head against a fingernail as she pivots around, ready to slither back to the other one. She needs it sharp. Sharp is good. Move not, scarred one. Her hand slowly closed into a fist and she smiled. Now she could feel pins and needles all over her body. But the pain and discomfort was a good sign, it meant she could feel and control her body once more. She picked herself up carefully, muscles still aching from whatever paralyzing poison they'd used on her. A chain still hung from her right wrist, and she quickly wrapped it around her fist into an improvised weapon. They had put a chain on her, and now she'd use it to kill every last one of the bastards for daring to do so. She looked over at the screaming cultists. Had they noticed her roused yet? Finn watched as the creature quickly saw through the plan and used a dead body against the other in the arena with him. He would then shrug off the stench's effect, making him winch as it did not smell good. At this point, he would take skunk spray and then this creature's stench.
He would then punch at the beast but miss calculating the thickness of its hide and feel as his fist whiffs over its skin, doing nothing but maybe tickling it. He would brace himself and call out to the other, "You ok other there" he would ask the man. He knew this beast would take a combined effect of the two, if not the others, to do it.

Having slid the blade between the coils of rope with an almost careless quick (as it would seem to the untrained eye) to slice and sever, Dhom closes her eyes for a moment, tongue flicking in and out, in and out again, before she'd lift and sniff the blade: has it been blooded? The best blades are blooded. It is as it ios with men; that which tastes blood, knows blood. Everyone knows that. Aid's for aid. she tells the scarred one in a low hiss. What's in it? In aiding these? – an idle musing. She'd rather fly, of course, disappear into the hollows, unseen, unfollowed. But the promise of a good fight has a call. Dhom will hear it, if it's given a voice.

My Club? Have you seen it? The Sugliin was irreplaceable. Reindeer couldn't be kept this far south, and the odds of getting a wild elk to shed such a nice set of antlers and finding it fresh enough to preserve and fortify just right was... unlikely. And the idea of spending that much precious hardwood on a polearm was an obscenity to her upbringing, even if she knew, intellectually, that trees were so common here in the South that people burnt them for fuel!

Re: Aurangh's Deathbringer IC
The scarred one's concerns have shifted, or so it seems. Very well. Very clever. No fighting; but she'd arm herself. Seen, no. Dhom answers her, lowering the spear and circling its tip in the air, away from the woman. But things not lost are found. Everyone knows that. She grabs the scarred one's wrist suddenly and leans close, inhaling sharply as her tongue dances above the woman's palm. She then lets go, just as suddenly and turns again, crouching down, her eyes closed. Nostrils flare. The tongue dances on, in and out.

Frenzy is still clawing at Dhom's mind, red and smelling of iron, as the blood of a beast. But Karnn Dhom is a survivor; and now she survived. None other did. The living hunt. The dead are eaten. Everyone knows this. And Karnn Dhom certainly does. Fighting on, for the honour of dead meat or just to test one's mettle against another is the proud game of the fool. Dhom is no fool.
With a low hiss, she turns… And runs. She knows the way out, and her form stiull twists and turns as she wishes it to twist and turn. She'll be out, untouched – she believes this much. All else is another day for another hunt.

Re: Aurangh's Deathbringer IC
The creature doesn't even bother chasing you as you drag your bleeding body out of the caves through the narrowest of tunnels. Panting, you make it to the exit with the sound of bestial screams of joy as a background, you know what those screams mean: the troglodyte feeding from the dead.
You move swiftly through the night not stopping despite the exhaustion gripping your body until you finally bent over a rock and collapse.
Dawn, red on the horizon, rouses you from a restless sleep. You slither through the wet land and wait for the darkness to come to move again.
