Superheroics isn’t inactive, it’s just currently on hiatus until I get my CAD programs back. :smalltongue:
That is a subjective tag in most cases, however.
For example, while there is probably no debate over the awesomeness of YOUR comic, there are some comics that have gotten good reviews I would have to disagree with. In The Playground, for example. People only like it because of the promise of their characters in it. In my opinion, it's not that good. Not at updating, nor humour, nor story. More people post and beg for it to start again as there should be.
Elrond, I hope you're not reading this, but if you are I apologize for my hateful insults. :smallfrown:
I was thinking about doing something like that, once. Only I figured it probably wouldn't be a good idea.
I mean, you're an artist, would you really want me saying why all your hard work sucks and how people shouldn't like it as much as they do?
Plus, that might get me an infraction.
I could probably try it in a way that wouldn't be so critical, but I should at least get better at doing artwork first.
...Unless I could get an artist.....:smallamused:
Any volenteers?
How about you instead have a list of comic makers who sign-up for a review on their webcomic and what they want you to review on. (i.e. Artwork, story, etc.) That way, the mods can't infract you because the artists gave consent. Plus, you should critique on instead of what's bad, on what needs improvement on, and offer suggestions.
Does that work?
I agree with this. If you make constructive critics instead of offensive ones you will be fine.
by the way...
I've edited all my posts on the last index thread to:
Would be awesome if you guys could do the same. The last post is pointing towards this thread.Quote:
>>>>>Please read the last post<<<<<
Thanks.
Nice! I'll implement that immediatly!
Also: This is not an ABR discussion thread. Please don't sidetrack as if it is. (Sorry, but you ABR-ers have an entire thread to yourselves, don't go talking 'bout stuff here.):smalltongue:
Why don't you just copy-paste what you said in the last post to all your other posts? That would make it easier. Then someone could click on any post and end up here, instead of going to the last one.:smallconfused:
It could work. Only problem is that it would be BORING. Boring to read and boring to write. Nobody wants to read a friendly, sane critic! And I wanna insult everybody! :smallsigh:
And I would still need an artist, because I'm still not completely skilled with my new program and I don't have a lot of time on my hands.
If I got a willing artist, I'd give it a try anyway. It could be good and fun.
Those ABR threads that you listed as Inactive are actually Finished. Since no one is allowed to post in them no more, they should be considered complete. Like chapters of a book.
Yeah, I was thinking I could do that. That's what I'm probably going to do.
Either way, I think I'm going to try and do it in a funny way. Like the Zero Punctuation guy, Yahtzee. Only, in this case, in a different style of reviewing and less insulting, I suppose.
Shouldn't Anti-heroes volumes 1 and 2 be "Finished" instead of "Inactive"?
I'm planning on updating Kirby's Quest for hats again as soon as I figure out what's wrong with my inkscape, so please put it as on hiatus.
Thank you.
I've created a new color for the code. ---Moved
I think it's helpful. If you don't, I'll get rid of it. But I consider running out of space in a thread different from "finishing" a comic.
the gifted
thanks
Awesome B. , in case you missed it, bentheiii (wow, what a name...wonder what's the story behind it) requested his webcomic be added to the list. It has it's own website and stuff...
You could add the following somewhere on the first post, somewhere near the top, so people will ward it better and clearer what their intention is (the fact that they want their webcomic on the list):
If you want your webcomic added to the list, use this request format: "Please add my webcomic <name with link to webcomic> to the list."
Hey, what does it take to be Active again? The Shadowstone gang just put out a new comic...
Why The Siliad andThe Skornbail Incident are on "S" while The Prestige is on "T"?:smallconfused:
"hey, don't blame me. I just copied this from the mod's list, and we all know that those mods are no good! :smallwink:..."
*completely oblivious to the mod standing nearby, beating Q over the head with a baseball bat*
"...and boy are they stupid!"
Ok, seriously, tho, I'll go change that.
I thought I could help out with the first post, putting everything in alphabetical order, spellchecking, adding new webcomics, modifying a bit of text to reflect the purpose of the thread a bit better...just quote this post, and copy everything that is between the spoiler tags. Replace your first post with what you copied.
Spoiler
Since the stickied list never gets updated, I thought I'd start my own.
Post below if I missed one or if you want your newly created webcomic to be added to the index.
If you have suggestions on how to make this list better, dont be shy and post them
Here's the color code:
